Sanae is, of course, distracted with her new mission and the excitement of a new incident brewing in Gensokyo- but one with a darker history, so dark even the Darkness youkai is telling her its too dark. Distracted that she doesn't notice Rumia's mess or the girl's scoldings... not distracted enough, however, to miss that last line-

"What- wait WHAT? You served at Hakurei Shrine, Rumia?? Why aren't you there now, what happ- oop-"

At least now she's listening, a hand over her mouth to stop herself from interrupting. Trying not to, but it seems something spooks Rumia anyway, barely catching the blonde diving by her before she's gone entirely. Sheesh, events have been really fast-hitting tonight, someone better give her a target to beat up and save the day soon before she--

The shrine maiden whips around to face her friend, and ends up staring for a moment in her surprise. Something's definitely wrong with Tsukasa... well, more wrong with her now, and 100% not trustworthy... Okay, she's not trustworthy in the first place but it's a guaranteed misfortune now!

She needs a good cover story, Rumia's putting a lot of trust in her! Think, Sanae, thi- oh, when'd that blood get there...?

"T-Tsukasa!! Tsukasa, it was so scaryy!! Rumia was acting all crazy and tried to get into the Shrine, I had to get out of my PJs and everything to stop her! But she wouldn't quit and she DEFINITELY wasn't using spellcards, so I-I- I had to hurt her- she got it all over my cloooothes Tsukasa..."

"Also... who's the boss...?"

"Hey wait! What do you think you're doing!"

Rumia protested as the woman lifted her off the ground. These protests continued as Sanae rocketed the pair of them through the barrier. Being so close to the warm flesh of a live human was too tempting, it was dangerous. It'd be so easy to open her mouth wide and take a bite out of Sanae. Once she had been able to purge such desires from her mind but that was before losing half of her body mass and regressing back to this mentality. Now it took bringing one of her own arms to her mouth and biting into it to resist the hunger.

It was a silent maneuver, she had been careful, but not without evidence. From Rumia's arm dripped dark shadowy blood onto Sanae's clothes. Once they were free of the barrier Rumia flung herself off, which sent a few more dribbles of blood off into the air. She just hoped it would be hidden by the dark night as she began to fly on her own.

"I'm trying my hardest not to lose my brain but warn me before any sudden grabbing. I need to prepare myself! How would you feel being shoved against a big pile of really delicious food. That's what humans are to youkai, you know. Only thing tastier is hermits, don't think I'd be able to control myself if one were here. Not like this. Not as strong as I was thirty years ago when I served the shrine."

Rumia froze for a brief moment. She let out more details than she'd intended. Damn this enthusiastic shrine maiden, she reminded her too much of a much happier time.

"Listen well girl! The orb could not have gone that far, even if you hit it with all your might. An object of that power would leave a trail if it rolled down the mountainside. We only need to - WAIT."

The scent in the air drew Rumia's attention. Something was approaching them, a youkai of some sort. Rumia suddenly darted behind Sanae. Hiding in the shadow of the other as the figure drew closer. There, in the darkness, another face stared at her.

"Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy there Sanae." That fox who often hangs around the shrine. The dark of the night seemed to swirl around her. The haze shielded her and yet something wasn't quite right. Unusually poor posture. She floated like a ragdoll held by failing strings. A sneer on her face and an empty look in her eyes. "You didn't see a feral blonde youkai around here, did you? The boss needs a word with her."

"My deck has no pathetic cards, Tsukasa!"

"Draw your last pathetic card Sanae."

"Um..." "... I was still really young, so I didn't get what was happening, but... Mom made it easy for me. I didn't feel unsafe, and I always had someone looking out for me. And I didn't go hungry, and all I had to do was believe in them with all my heart, and to get other people to do the same, so..."

"It was easy! But only because I had Mom!"

"Wow- there sure are a lot of rainbows around here! Wonder what all the hubbub's about-"

also i havent forgotten about this blog. just like i said, low writing energy n all. and of course, this blog is lower priority than the main blog so. promise ill spur up a lil activity here.

besides that im still brewing up an idea for a mini incident. a minincident if you will.

She wipes away sweat from her forehead, holding a scrub broom and a pail of water. A huff escapes her, satisfied, as she's finally managed to clean off that terrible graffiti- no more green bean on the Moriya Shrine!

"Phew... now I'll just have to figure out who did it in the first place..."

The youkai that... killed Reimu's mom? That's... that's terrible. But, then... all the more reason not to falter. Especially if Reimu would be going to fight this youkai as well, she'd need all the help she could get! Sanae wouldn't be deterred by Rumia's warnings- if anything, her resolve was doubled.

"Then I'll give it a hundred and ten percent! You just have to put your faith in me, and I'll see it through- besides, I'm not gonna let Reimu, or anyone else for that matter, put their lives at risk if I can do something about it. But if there's more at the Hakurei Shrine, you don't think Reimu would be made if- huh? Rumia- wait, Rumia-!! Rumia the ba-"

Too late. She's unable to stop the darkness youkai before that loud crack answers her- the Moriya Shrine barrier is doing its job, unfortunately.

Not to worry, however- Sanae comes to Rumia's aid, scooping the blonde girl off the ground like a princess. "Guess without your ticket in, it's only one way- but I'll be your ticket out of here! You just take it easy and try not to lose your brain and I'll fly us right over-"

The seals will easily part for their Miko, Sanae rising off the ground with her companion in her arms- if they were to resolve this incident, then she needed Rumia's fully functioning brain and some quick movement. So no better time than now to pray, wishing for a miracle...

"Hold on tight, Rumia!"

The wind whips up into a frenzy, and without a moment's hesitation, Sanae blasts off with it, heading straight for their destination.

"Yes, exactly that orb! Well, no, there are other Hakurei orbs! Reimu took most but if we return to the shrine there may be another. Oh but it's all the way down this mountain and up another, do we have the time?"

Especially when her head felt like it was going to split open. Thinking was hard in this form. There was a reason she paraded around like an idiot so much. The bliss of being a fool was calling too her, promising escape from the pain of reality, but she had to suppress it. She wouldn't want that.

"And yes, I'm saying this is a major incident. Your enthusiasm is appreciated shrine maiden, but I need to be clear. This youkai may be more dangerous than any you've ever known. It is she that slew the previous maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. This is going to take both of us at our fullest to win."

With that stated Rumia's feet lift from the ground as she rises into the air. She rushes towards the exit of the Moriya shrine, expecting Sanae to follow. There's a crashing sound as Rumia suddenly strikes the air and is knocked from the sky, collapsing on the shrine ground. Without the orb to protect her she can no longer pass through the charms that seal the shrine. That which was meant to keep youkai out was like a brick wall penning her in.

"Ack! To think I used to be a terror on the land. Reduced to nothing more than a pitful weakling!" She's grumbling to herself as she rubs her head. It would seem that that really hurt!

okay so again, gotta write one starter, BUT!
