A check in with myself
Well, these past few months have been fun, hasn’t it? I really didn’t think I’d make it this far to be honest. New car, moving out soon, and able to afford doing what ever the hell I want? I like the new me. I feel like I have a purpose now. Just a reminder to yourself, Just keep moving. That promotion you’re eyeing; go for it. Book that next trip, just make sure your bank account can handle it. By the way, you should start investing your money again. Future you would appreciate it.

Forward.
A few things to note. If you're dissatisfied about the result, do something about it. So often I've seen people continuously posting, but doing nothing. Millennial turnout was down. We could have changed the shape of the election. My biggest beef with us is that we vote with our emotions and not with our vision. We get our feelings hurt and we just shut down. We can't just sit here and post on facebook, twitter all we want but then never show up when it matters. So what do we need to do? We need to work our butts off. Because we missed out this year. 2018 is on us. If you want to make sure this never happens again, do something about it.

Update
Well dang it’s been a long time. Unfortunately, I’ve left the political field and entered the private sector for a bit. Still located in the Bay Area for the next six or so months, but we’ll see what opportunities arises. Here’s to an eventful 2016. I still have no idea who follows this blog, or why for that matter. I’m basically some bumbling idiot who just says incredibly dumb things.

Victory and Onwards
For the past 6 months or so, I've devoted all of my time and effort in a Dem on Dem general election. Moving from the ranks of an organizing fellow, to deputy field organizer to a finance staffer. I've learned so much about what true, progressive democratic values really mean. This campaign shouldn't even be a campaign in the first place. I've learned that some people are on the surface only a Democrat in name, yet will do everything in their power to protect their own selfish interests, especially in a place as diverse and progressive as the bay area. But alas, as of November 7th, we won. I've learned so much. From enhancing my interpersonal skills by walking door to door to get votes, public speaking as a team lead and learning what it takes to run a competitive campaign. I will take everything and will continue to build on my professional development as this is only the beginning for me. The team was amazing. I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to replace them. The bond that we all share from working late nights for months on end has a definite lasting effect on me. You're the best.

As for what's next, The hill. Watch out DC, here we come.
