So, yeah. I may or may not have almost been scammed today.

Today, I was encountered by a seemingly sweet girl, who wanted me to draw her dog,

But unfortunately, when it came to the transaction, something was off.

First thing, she refused to go to my Ko-Fi and wanted to do the transaction directly to Paypal. Then, when we conversed in her DMs, I gave my prices. They were reasonable for an artist starting out commissioning, right? $30 or $60, but then, she said she was willing to pay me $300!

$300!

But when it came to the transaction, I got the email where it said I got her money, but I had to do something else to receive it fully, which was confusing, because, it said I need to be a business account to receive the payment, and I thought I already was a business account, so I got confused. But, the one I was doing business with said that's normal and said she has to pay me $200 more Dollars for it to work, but I have to refund her the $200 to get the rest of my payment.

But, I didn't understand how you could do that, because I'm still new to this whole Commission thing. (and operating PayPal....) so I decided to go and call Paypal themselves to help me how to refund things. And the PayPal helper lady I was talking to on my phone was helping me operate Paypal and I told her what's going on and she said that I might've been in the middle of getting SCAMMED!!

SCAMMED, BRO!

So, The PayPal Helper Lady then recommended me to email someone to help me see if I was scammed or not, and yeah. Um... I got back to the Girl who I now am suspecting is scamming me, and I told her what's up, and her demeanor changed. She was meaner and harsher, and threatened to call the Authorities somehow. even though I'm in Canada and she is in the States....

So yeah... be careful...

Also, continue to ask for help when you don't know anything. Man, I feel stupid, but also stupid enough to get yourself out of a scam~!
