i don't think we talk enough about rcp season 5's ending song. IT IS JUST. SO GOOD???? AND DESERVES A LONGER VERSION BECAUSE I LEGITAMETLY LOVE THIS ED SONG SO MUCH 😭😭 and i feel like its a major improvement from the previous one (because it was just the instrumental of the intro. BUT THIS IS A WHOLE NEW ORIGINAL SONG)

so in this post, i will be overanalysing/rambling about a 1 minute ending song for a kids show because i am just that hyperfixated on it. let's get on with it

okay so when i first heard this i immediately fell in love. also, i recognize the voice actor but i can't put my finger on it. this is probably the same one who sung the intro too??

this could be amber or jin's voice actor, but i find the idea of one of the character's singing this really cute (we already had this in daily life safety's intro)

in my mind, i picture this as the rescue team wanting the best for the citizens and giving it their all to protect them, aughhhehjdsjw

the first line, "sometimes we all make mistakes". you could interpret that as just the rescue team reassuring the broomstown citizens "it's okay, we all make mistakes" in that typical kids show moral-at-the-end-of-episode scene (this isn't meant to be derogatory if anyone's wondering). but I have a different interpretation for this...

this lyric could be about the team admitting that even they aren't perfect even if it doesn't look like it. the rescue team and citizens are imperfrct and they're aware of that, they're just as human as they are. (i get that they're robots, but shh you know what i mean)

but despite everything? they still try their best to rescue them. they care about them. call them and you'll see!

if you need help, the rescue team is always there for you. i have another interpretation i'd like to share, this can be a double meaning.

1. they're always here to rescue you. because, well, they're rescuers. they have your back no matter what

2. ...needing help doesn't always necessarily mean needing help with being saved from an accident or rescued from danger. what if their citizens are in a dark place, mentally. the rescue team is always there for them. for you.

okay thats it for my ramble. also for the past few days, i've been getting some new ideas for my rewritten destinies au (YAYY!!), so hopefully i can make more stuff for that soon

KOSA/the kids online safety act has been reintroduced into legislature after it passed Senate last year and then got snubbed. It is not unlike the bill that just passed in the UK a few weeks ago. If you don't want what happened in the UK to happen here, now would be a good time to vocally oppose it.

Here is a petition that can be signed by Americans. Attached to the petition is an easy tool that allows you to call and leave messages for your representatives. I have already done so. You can also email your representatives by searching for their name, most have message submission boards as well. This thing died once, it can die again.
