One of my goals for writing this book is to use it to further promote fan studies and academia. As a teacher, I don't think there are enough opportunities to engage with the things we like on a scholarly level. Learning should be fun, you know? So I want you to ask me anything*. so we're all hyped for the canon gay warrior cats right... this is genuinely such a huge leap forward. I never actually thought the books would include lgbtq characters explicitly on page. this is amazing for a series with a fandom full of queer people who has been begging the authors to include some representation for a literal DECADE. I know we just got ravenbarley confirmation in the graphic novels but this is the first time the actual main books have acknowledged the idea of two cats of the same gender becoming mates.
