Assassin's Creed characters (By the official X account of Assassin’s Creed UK) and their meal deals (only Jacob and Evie of course)

For anyone who isn’t from the UK, the meal deals are what you would usually find at big brand supermarket, the most well known brand that uses meal deals are Tescos. Anyone in the UK probably knows Tesco’s infamous meal deals and how you would judge someone for what combo they’d got. It used to be £3, now it’s £4. This really sucks. Meal deals come with crisps/flapjack/bar, sandwiches/sushi/pasta (main) and a drink.

Now. What Jacob has is absolutely rancid. Evie is alright, in fact it’s a meal good for the brain- Jacob is in his Jacobness way and got himself a birthday sandwich, a can of monster and monster munch. I could go on about how the sweetness paired with monster munch would be disgusting but I’m not.

Aw I just noticed how all of Evie’s brand is from M&S, that’s so Evie coded that she would shop there.

Anyways, tomorrow I’m going to buy whatever the fuck Jacob has and tell you how it is. Tesco’s not far from my place, neither is M&S

In my modern Au, Jacob and Maxwell Roth were together but not anymore (I’m not a RothFrye shipper don’t expect that from me, it’s just apart of Jacob’s past that I can’t avoid) since it was unhealthy and displayed one-sided obsession (by Roth of course). Jacob’s new partner is Charlie Calloway.

During his teenage years up to early-mid adulthood, Jacob was in and out of relationships- he likes the idea of being wanted, being acknowledged and validated but often forgets that to create a successful relationship he has to be committed, communicative and also acknowledge his partner.

Im thinking of his first relationship being Ned Wynert (I love Ned, I do ship him with Jacob) where the two shared similar personalities, I genuinely see their relationship as being quite wholesome, a lot of cheek and banter. I’d say they dated for a few months up until Ned broke things off with Jacob, saying how he saw him more as a friend than a lover (Or perhaps Ned was trying to establish a business to escape his family life, so Jacob rarely ever sees him) they ended on good terms, still friends who drink together. Just with an exes title.

The next one Jacob would’ve dated would be Pearl Attaway (I don’t ship her with him either, it wouldn’t make sense if I did as she was equally manipulative to him, but like Roth she is canonically important to Jacob’s character) AGAIN only lasted a few months, she was always a busy woman but, unlike Ned, she showered Jacob in validation and muses his antics which made him stay longer than he should. But unfortunately, Pearl doesn’t appreciate the things Jacob would recklessly get into as it would also affect her indirectly. He’s too impulsive, too compromising and although he’s often unserious Jacob is not a complete idiot. Pearl might try to “refine” him, encourage him to clean up, present better, stop associating with criminals. Jacob would bristle. He doesn’t like being told what to do, especially not by someone who wants to “fix” him. They break up through an argument, with Jacob walking out of Pearl’s office (and nicking sweeties from her receptionist desk on the way)

The third would’ve been Roth. I’m not going to get into the relationship he and Jacob would’ve had, but it’s most likely the same presentation in the canon plot of syndicate: obsessive. How they got together I would guess was Roth courting Jacob by asking him for dinner (in my modern world, Jacob is a punk artist) during one of Jacob’s small local exhibition where he’s trying to make it as an artist. Things spiralled down from there, it was nice at first, Jacob related to Roth and desired what the older man made himself to be (Jacob at this point in time was struggling and vulnerable, like he was 21 and still didn’t do anything major like Evie. Sibling resentment!!) at this point in Jacob’s life could be the most lowest point ever, encouragement and attachment to the wrong man. It was an off and on relationship, breaking up and then getting back together. A major fire broke out resulting in the death of many coincidentally was also at the theatre Roth worked at, leaving Jacob finally alone.

Tough year for him, (implied that Jacob could be an addict or an alcoholic) Evie stepped in and forced Jacob to move into her small flat where her boyfriend also lived (Henry Green! Greenie! Jayadeep Mir!) where she was his main support system. He then eventually meets Frederick Abberline (My TOP Jacob x canon ship) through Henry.

My modernise Jacob Frye is so straight coded on a base level: he’s going to pubs with his mates, watching football praying to god his team wins because he’d bet £50 at Paddy Power and fart trapping Evie in a Dutch oven blanket thingy. Oh, and he does gym selfie pics with cringy texts like “Early birds gets the worm, the birds is anyone who fancy me and I’m the worm. Come and get me.” It’s purposefully bad, horrific even. Block him.

And when you get to know him…you’re like…hmm…he’s kinda fruity? Like sitting on his mates lap, drunk or not, mumbling at a romance drama show how he would’ve shagged the main male love interest already. When you confront him about it he’d say “what about it?” And THEN you find out the most macho man coded Brit is bisexual!

— and has hay-fever and is vegetarian (he was young and challenged not to eat meat for a month…and never went back…)

Charlie found out this way, honestly the sign was there. Them watching Jacob idly scraping of glittery nail polished with his teeth (painted by Clara! Jacob was the subject) and thought that Jacob was quite…cute. But they’ll never tell him outright, it’s not like them anyways.

Honestly I've always been bothered by memes/headcanons that are like ‘oh don't let Jacob into the kitchen he would mess everything up lol’ or ‘he would burn water' LMAO no he's a man with cock and balls he's not two years old. Why do you headcanon that Evie has to do the cooking and whatnot herself. Why is it that when you saw him do something idiotic in-game you immediately concluded that Jacob = incompetent in basic life skills. HOW did you even get to that conclusion. You're infantilizing him, and not the “Aww my sweet wittle bwaby :333 (he's a full grown adult)” way, but as “You're unable to do anything that requires some more thinking and have to have someone else do everything for you”. Both can be and are degrading, nonetheless. And don't you come to me saying "It's just a joke why are you getting mad" this man is emotionally and mentally resonating to me in more ways than one (1) and I am showcasing my ability to feel anger over this as I'd feel degraded with something like this too, the same way you're showcasing your ability to make puny jokes. Also to headcanon that Evie, his sister, has to do the cooking alone also teeters on having this misogynistic air to it but that's a whole different story for another day
