Happy Holidays! But watch out for the sharp candy canes and don’t eat too many gingerbread cookies. Or gingerbread guns.

I swear my entire world doesn’t revolve around Haunter but my lord Ryan and Gavin skulking out of the dark wearing nasty grins speaks to me on a spiritual level.

Please tell me you have a fahc (or not!) Cop AU after that picture..
Hahaha more hints of FAHC personalities than actual Fake’s but sure, FAHC as cliche cop (eh, detective) drama characters: Geoff is of course the Captain of the station - a man of unconventional methods who takes great joy in rubbing the unprecedented success of his station in the face of all who doubted his ability to run the precinct. Between his tattoos, his informality with his underlings and his absolute disregard for the norms and niceties of his role he isn’t popular with the big bosses but you just can’t ignore his results. Throw in Sergeant Pattillo as his second to smooth ruffled feathers with polite smiles and hard eyes, an unerring knowledge of every policy and procedure and all their various loopholes, and the godly ability to know exactly when to call the detectives into line and when to look the other way, and their Station became truely unrivalled. Gavin and Michael are the quintessential odd-couple detective team, constantly at odds and so very different in personalities, hyper competitive and always trying to trip each other up, often incredibly unprofessional, but despite it all the best of friends and the most successful partnership the precinct has ever seen. Gavin made a bit of a name for himself as a criminal profiler and dabbled in hostage negotiations while Michael spent a not-insignificant amount of time terrorising the bomb squad, so more often than not the pair wind up on high profile cases. They drive the higher ups utterly nuts, and if they were any less successful they’d probably get turfed out for one infraction or another, but as it is they’re just about given carte blanche for all of their shenanigans. Which is just as well, really, since while Geoff is as often as not the one who is left pulling out his hair over their antics, they were his first and longest lasting detective team and their ferocious loyalty to their Captain has always been returned tenfold.Ryan was the ‘i only work alone, stonewall any partners until they move along, don’t even think about giving me that Rookie Geoff i swear to fucking god’ asshole for the longest time. Ryan took the job incredibly seriously, and while he would loosen up and mess around with Michael and Gavin and some of the older detectives he was never anything softer than robotically professional with the new hires, at least until Jeremy came along. Even then he was reluctant, adamantly trying to hang on to his notoriously aloof lone-wolf persona but even that failed in the face of Jeremy’s aggressively friendly enthusiasm - much to the loud, gleefully taunting amusement of Michael and Gavin, and the utter relief of Geoff and Jack. Jeremy worked his ass off first to become a detective and then to work in this particular precinct, so he flat out refused to be deterred no matter what Ryan did. He took the worst Ryan could dish out and kept smiling, kept delivering outstanding results, and eventually Ryan got his head out of his ass and the pair became a force to be reckoned with. It helped that Michael and Gavin practically adopted Jeremy from the start, dragged him along to all the informal drinks and gatherings, so while there’s a bit of friendly rivalry between the two partnerships everyone’s on good terms at the end of the day. Where Michael and Gavin tend to be first on scene for the high pressure incidents, Ryan and Jeremy have a bit of a reputation for being able to draw out confessions from even the toughest interrogations. It’s left them in hot water a few times, Internal Affairs an ever looming presence, but the pair have saved the day on more than one time-sensitive kidnapping or imminent attack. Lindsay, Matt, Trevor and Alfredo are the Station’s best officers, and the detective’s obnoxiously obvious favourites to work with. Which is to say they are every bit as eccentric, dedicated, and hands down bananas as the detectives, and probably get into three times the amount of absurd escapades while the detectives are stuck at their desks. Matt’s been with the force since he left school, starting in tech before eventually making the leap into the practical side, Alfredo signed up after a short but accomplished stint in the military, and both Lindsay and Trevor have taken and passed detective exams before deciding to stay where they were. Support Room are of course the station’s indispensable support staff, the long-suffering, deeply irreverent backbone of the Station, pretty much the only reason literally anything gets done - the techies, forensic photographers and administration, the shifty coroner and perpetually red-faced evidence room officer.
#FAHC#kinda but not#AH AU#i do not understand american police structure#wiki did not assist#so this is basically tv based sorry!#and i went with detectives#mostly because of b99#but also to do investigations and such#Lindsay was momentarily a sketch artist#and Trevor was a high rank#but they would be such a menace as cops#there was also going to be corruption#but i quite liked them as good cops#at least for now#Loaded Guns and Sharp Teeth#There Is No Order In This Lawless Town#Legal and Illegal Have Nothing To Do With Right or Wrong#Ask#Anonymous
