hello. this is chen.

i worried without end over how to relay my thoughts, and only now have i come to leave this message for exo-l’s. i worried that a slip of words on my part may bring hurt, but i first want to give my apologies to those who have waited for all this time, and make sure to say sorry to exo-l’s who must have been shocked by my sudden news. 

when i first wrote my letter, it was about something that i had also experienced for the first time in my life, so i worried a lot about how to relay it to exo-l’s, who have walked together with me. i posted that message with the thought that i must personally be the one to first tell all of you that news….i also felt very hurt seeing those who were disappointed and hurt by my words, which were lacking and hasty unlike my intentions/mind.

i’m not sure if my heart will be relayed well, but i feel sincerely grateful for the love all of you have given me up to now. i know better than anyone else that i am able to be the person i am now because that love exist. i want to say sorry once more for showing my apologies to all of you so late. and i will make sure to show you the hard-working side of myself from now on. thank you. Yeah hi I just wanted to pop in and point out 10:42-11:02 in the interview when Kai mentioned that they "want to be happy while continuing as artists" and Chen is in the background smiling 😭😭😭😭😭 we love to see it !!!!! He had that knowing smile going on !!! I'm so soft !!!

Hello!!! Ahhhh, he had this soft smile through most parts of the video and it made me all 🥺🥺🥺 I believe he’s only able to be this strong and brave because he knows he has the support of his members no matter what.
