I write about all of these topics in my fics but never have I once portrayed them in a good light. I don't pretend to ship or endorse any incest or pedophilic relationships I write. I don't portray racist and homophobic characters as good people. I write how much it hurts to be in those positions. I write about the confusion, the betrayal, the pain.

And what do I see proshippers doing on my dash? Fucking glorifying it.

I used to think, that's their thing, let them enjoy it but then I realized: There is a good reason why we shut down racists and homophobes and don't allow them safe spaces, why do we allow the same for people who FANTASIZE about disgusting things and put them on the internet.

Wake up to reality. Your behavior will make parents hide their children from you.

Are you serious my guy? Joining a fandom changed my life. Stanning Julius made me a better artist, writer, and made me more motivated to study quantum mechanics. My professors and my thesis advisors literally know of Julius because of me💀 I care so much about thinking about the underlying themes of BC and any other fiction I consume and see how it challenges my beliefs and my way of thinking. You may not consume fiction the way I do! But it most definitely affects reality💀

If you want a historical example, Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin" converted many people to abolitionism because it brought attention to the horrible conditions of slavery.

And I can give you many, many, many examples about how fiction affects reality. But not in a one to one ratio. Just because I play COD or MW2 does not mean I want to pick up a gun and start shooting my friends.

Kakyoin is the kind of person to be completely stone-faced when texting but just fills his texts with cute Japanese emoticons all the time. He tries to teach Jotaro how to use emoticons but Jotaro doesn’t get it and keeps putting them in weird places that don’t match what he’s trying to say like he’ll type something like “did u ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ want to see that XD movie u were talking about T_T” and it just makes zero sense whatsoever. Eventually he kind of gets it but he only ever uses one emoticon and it’s only -_- and he just puts it at the end of every text so it’s not an emoticon it’s basically a signature.

Meanwhile Polnareff downloads like 15 emoticon packs and plays pictionary with the people he texts about what he wants to say. So he’ll text Kakyoin like (Picture of a steak) (picture of a custom emoji that kinda looks like him) (picture of people with shopping bags) and Kakyoin is just like “the mall closes in an hour can it wait until tomorrow? (ノ^_^)ノ” And Polnareff responds (thumbs up emoji)

Avdol’s got like an old Nokia that can’t display pictures so all of Polnareff’s texts are empty to him, Polnareff gets really mad and sends over like angry emojis but they’re empty too so Avdol just eventually stops trying and just calls him. Joseph has this top-of-the-line super high functioning smartphone but he doesn’t have a single extra app on it except candy crush that he’s sunk like five hundred hours into and he’s still not even close to where Kakyoin has advanced. At some point Polnareff gets Jotaro’s phone and downloads like a sea life emoticon pack and Jotaro tries to figure out how to quick access them but accidentally ends up binding a different emoticon to each letter button so until Kakyoin fixes it for him it’s like (dolphin)(butterfly fish)(eel)(sea cucumber) -_-  (Kakyoin’s name is like (sea snake)(bottlenose)(sea snake)(clownfish)(starfish)(anemone)(whale) -_-) The only reason it takes a whole week to fix is because nobody realizes what’s wrong because Jotaro is just as likely to just. Fucking send a picture of a dolphin than respond to a text, like Kakyoin like texts him “ did you do the homework yet I might need help (｡◕‿◕｡) ” And Jotaro responds “(whale)(starfish) -_-” and Kakyoin is just thinking to himself “OK this seems about right for Jotaro” and just drops the subject.
