There was an adorable Boku No Hero Academia BluRay/DVD commercial that aired on TV during Episode 49 with Kirishima narrating the commercial! He’s so energetic and happy T_T. Enjoy the subbed video~

The light novel and Drama CD set that Kirishima is referring to is about the game center story that will be released if you buy Vol. 1-8 DVDs (meaning it’ll be out in February 2019 when Vol. 8 is released). 

The story is about Deku, Todoroki, and Iida following Kaminari and Mineta into a game center, only to find that Kirishima and Bakugou are there together as well. The story summary says that they take purikura pictures for the first time as well as get involved in an arcade battle with Deku’s team (Deku, Todoroki, and Iida) versus Bakugou’s team (Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari).

New Boku No Hero Academia Heroes Battle cards were released today (PU-7), and I went to get the KiriBaku cards and a few other Bakugou & Kirishima cards (because I’m a freak). Here are the translations~ (please credit me if you use these pictures as they are my own scans!)

Went to the game center to get the Boku No Hero Academia KiriBaku “Setsubun” (Coming of Spring) battle cards where they’re playing a game of tag with Bakugou throwing beans at Kirishima, who’s pretending to be the ogre. It’s a game to wish for good luck and health! Enjoy~

SEGA Ikebukuro will be having a Boku No Hero Academia cafe, and the art for this collaboration is so cute! The kids look like they went to a convenience store to pick up food, and they’re eating the following: Deku: Holding a box of donuts Todoroki: Eating a donut from the box Ochako: Roasted sweet potato Bakugou: Curry bread with the word “Spicy” on it Kirishima: Meatballs, hot dog, and corn dog

What are some really good kiribaku fics u recommend?

Ohhh boy

1 - the series of “Kirishima just really likes cats”, which is a Coffee shop au! I love the dialogues and the relationship between characters, they’re really funny and it’s a masterpiece because where else can you find Midoriya calling Bakugou a salty and cold bottom?

2 - “2am knows all secrets” if u haven’t read it do it now cause THE PINING GUYS THE P I N I N G

3 - “My first one and only”, a fic with wonderful art pieces and teenagers dealing with their first relationship. The alternative name for this fic should be Perfection

4 - “Chitchat and pencil pushers”, office au with lots of interactions from the bakusquad (more like kirisquad in this case) and flirting

5 - “Avian”, Kirishima and Bakugou meet for the first time in an airport, what will ever happen?

I love this scene because even though at this point Bakugo has no idea who Kirishima is and Kirishima finds Bakugo angry and unmanly, they step up at the same time and move in complete synch. It shows how naturally compatible they are. 

And here, it’s Kirishima speaking but it sounds like something Bakugo would say (not as calmly though) Even though Bakugo is very uncooperative at this stage, he seems perfectly fine with Kirishma. 

Not only are they compatible with their quirks but they both have a similar sense of determination and resolve and for Bakugo that’s everything. During the sports festival, he’s still unsure when Kirishima points out their compatible quirks. 

He’s like “ok yeah you have a point but I need somebody with guts and idk if you can actually handle that”

It’s only after Kirishima tells him that he’s unwavering and determined to get the ten million that he accepts him. He sees that Kirishima has the same drive he has and that earns his respect. (He’s so certain of it that he brings it up later when Kirishima needs reassurance.)

It’s clear that whenever those two fight together they will move perfectly in synch like it’s the most natural thing.

And look  how savage they both look because they’re both thinking that they have the perfect opportunity to pass the test now. Even though Kirishima is cheerful and friendly, he can get just as intense during a battle!
