2017 Anime in Review
So, it is that time of the year again, the end is neigh, and it has snuck up on me yet again. With the end of the fall season for me only 3 days away, I thought I should get to writing and compiling this list, which, compared to other years feels dauntingly short. With a total of only 33 anime/movies I saw this year, I feel like either I’ve gotten pickier, shows have gotten worse, or there were too many sequels that I didn’t wanna rush through previous seasons to watch the new season. Regardless, keeping up with tradition, here I am for my fifth annual anime review. As always, the top 12 are in alphabetical order and then the rest are discussed in alphabetical order as well since, as you may have noticed, I was lazy this year and didn’t do any quarterly reviews. So, you’ll get my full rambling here this year! Let’s get this party started!
Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen

The long awaited sequel to Ao no Exorcist, the Kyoto arc is where the action finally ramps it into high gear. The stakes get higher and the action gets real fucking rad. I’m so glad the Ao no Exorcist got its second season finally, it’s, in my opinion, somewhat underrated as an anime and doesn’t get the respect it deserves. Here’s hoping that the second season garnered enough attention for another season, because with stunning visuals, great story, and music to boot, it be a shame not to continue seeing more of this series.
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria

And here we have it, the spin of to DanMachi that focuses on the Loki Familia. At first I was skeptical that they decided to do this instead of another season of DanMachi, but to quell my concerns I read into the manga and fell in love. The motivations you see for Aiz in the story help make sense of why she puts up with Bell, why she is the strongest and overall just a lot of fleshing out of her character. But luckily it doesn’t just center around Aiz, but the whole of the front line of the Loki familia, letting us see how a strong dungeon clearing familia does business, and boy does they show us the business in the season finale.
Eromanga-sensei

What is this train wreck? Another imouto series? Yes, I’m sorry. I can’t stop myself, I’m a sucker for comedy. Eromanga-sensei is great, because unlike its predecessors (OreImo) it doesn’t try to make the viewers stomach that blood relations hell. With an adorable cast, great punchlines, and reasonable visuals, it’s well worth a watch if you need a laugh.
Gamers!

What is this, another train wreck? Yep, sorry not sorry. At least it’s a unique train wreck, with our 5 main characters in a horrible love pentagon from hell. Amano likes Tendou and vice versa, Aguri likes Uehara and vice versa, and Chiaki likes Amano. Seems simple enough, just a love triangle you say, NOPE. Because its all a clusterfuck of people thinking the person they like likes someone else. EVEN THOUGH AGURI AND UEHARA ARE DATING. God help me why did I like this again. Wait the great lolz. That’s why, grade A lolz.
Imouto sae Ireba Ii.

Yes, it says Imouto in the title. But I swear, its not OreImo again. My boy Itsuki here is a light novel author… with an obsession for little sisters. See that’s new. This anime is a slice of life that revolves around the light novel publishing business and we see most of it through the perspective of Itsuki, but Nayu and Haruto have been in the spotlight, showing us their process to writing their novels or anime adaptations. But the cake for me has to go to Itsuki’s college friend Miyako, who is best girl of the year for me. Lord have mercy that girl is adorable. Also this bastard of an anime has the best ending song of the year for me, freaking great song.
Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.

The premise here was interesting, our protagonist meets an early end in his world, but God having pity on him allows him to reincarnate in a new world, taking one thing with him. He chooses to keep his smartphone and there by gains a interesting advantage in a world of magic, where he is able to access all the old information from his home world (Assumingly an anime Earth), but also gains amazing power in this world. Because God felt the phone was a bit of a cheap gimme, he enhances all hit attributes including his affinity for magic, allowing him to be incredibly fucking broken and OP in this world in combat. So don’t go in to this for a fair fight, but for comedy, bullshit fights, and a interesting take on how a medieval magic world would benefit from someone from our time period came and started just dropping knowledge. (ICE CREAAAM)
Koi to Uso

A society that has a system that will match you to your perfect soulmate, seems ideal doesn’t it? But what if you find yourself fallen in love for years and come your 16th birthday you are matched with someone whom you have no feelings for. That’s the premise of Koi to Uso, and man it’s a doozy. I wish this had gotten more episodes because I feel like the premise was great, even if the protagonist was a bit spineless. Unfortunately I doubt it did well enough to get another season, so I’ll have to read the manga for some closure, but it got my interest. It also had a fantastic opening song, catchy as all hell.
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2

If you read my reviews in the past, you should NOT be surprised that KonoSuba2 made it into this list. The laughs were still there, the bullshit success story of Kazuma never ends. God what else can I say about one of the best action comedies I’ve seen? Go watch it? Season 1 first though, it does actually continue story wise so you need to see it in order. ERIS IS TRUE LIFE, AQUA LIES!
Rewrite 2nd Season

Man, I can already feel how controversial this pick is. A lot, and I mean a lot, of people did not like Rewrite, nor Rewrite season 2. I am one of the few that thought it was alright. I have also not played the visual novel its based on so I’m more forgiving to its faults than most. But I have researched into the series post watching the anime, and can see very well why people were so… triggered. Overall the second season I feel was stronger than the first, elaborating on back story a lot more and giving viewers more to understand what the actual fuck is going on. And you gotta admit the season started off with a bang with that huge battle in episode 16. After which the series I feel took a darker and more realistic turn, which I thought was a step in the right direction.
Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

Yes, another magic world school series. What was unique about this one? The main character is older for one, isn’t trying to fall in love for another, and lastly, isn’t purposefully gimped of his power. He tends a lazier route but is able to be bring forth his abilities to full blast when necessary. I will say the uniforms are kinda bullshit, like how are they practical lol.
Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata

Why oh why did we not get just a bit more of this series? I’m glad they announced a movie to hopefully finish the story since its so close to the end of the light novels. But this ends up being more of the same, with Aki trying to pursue his game creation dream further with more trials and tribulations along the way. But none of that matters, what matters is we got more Megumi in our lives and man oh man is she still as great as ever. Best heroine, no boring heroine here!
Tsurezure Children

Considering how much I love the manga series, it is no surprise that I loved the anime. They stayed true to the manga and made it a snippet of short stories for all the characters. I only wished it had been 24 episodes so we could have developed everyone more and introduced more people as well. But, its okay, we introduced the best characters anyway with BROTOYAMA being introduced and of course, everyone’s favorite LOVE MASTER! He gets even better, just you wait.
Honorable Mentions
ChäoS;Child

This was just a big disappointment to me, I had hoped it would fall back on Chaos;Head a bit and explain some more, give us an epilogue if you will of what happen to those people, but we just got a new story full force. While the story of Chaos;Child isn’t bad, it wasn’t what I wanted, though man, the movie was something else. Sadly it wasn’t what I was looking for.
Clockwork Planet

Iffy animation, story all over the place, main dude kinda nuts and annoying. I couldn’t actually find something I liked about Clockwork planet. It’s a shame because I thought I’d love it based on the poster art, but, it wasn’t meant to be apparently.
Code:Realize: Sousei no Himegimi

I have a very love hate relationship with Code:Realize. I don't actually enjoy it that much, but its interesting enough that I was not able to bring myself to drop the series. Week after week I watched with half attention because I wanted to see a resolution to the series, but it wasn't very good to watch it. I don’t know what drew me to it, but it brought me back for more every week so I guess it had to be somewhat good if I can't find something I hated either.
Fate/Apocrypha

Man, Fate Apocrypha is an example of why ufotable should be the only people that are allowed to handle the Fate series. While the story is pretty interesting war wise, the character development felt slopy, the fights were poorly animated (til episode 22-23 those were pretty rad), and overall just felt bad. It’s a shame ufotable doesn’t have exclusive rights to fate adaptations, but oh well, it was okay. Hopefully Shaft does better with Fate Extra, but I doubt it.
Gin no Guardian

Normally if a series gets a second season announced and I watched the first season, I watch the new season. Like I watched Samurai Girls, then tried to watch Samurai Bride and realized it was god awful. Well with Gin no Guardian, I watched the first season and will not be giving its second season a watch because it was very boring, slow paced, and scattered about. I don’t see how it got a second season, but I guess some people might have liked it, or maybe since its shorter episodes it was worth finishing up another season? I don’t understand really.
Hajimete no Gal

The boobs in this series were fucking absurd. Who was the character designer for this and the manga? They need to go look at some real women to understand how boobs function. Holy shit was that a problem in this series. Unless the designers only watched porn with very fake breasts, they should have realized something was awry with their boob design. Holy fuck have I been waiting to complain about that for a while. Besides the boobs, pretty good anime, I laughed pretty hard actually, when the boobs were functioning like human boobs.
Hand Shakers

Now, the art style alone was a bit of a departure for me, but it also caught me attention so I gave it a shot. Hand Shakers story was rocky at best, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t actually bad. The concept of not being able to let go of her hand got real old fast, like come on that’s a horrible life flaw to force on someone, even anime wise. But oh well, I didn’t hate the anime, I found it enjoyable at least.
Juuni Taisen

Some people really loved Juuni Taisen, I was not one of those people. Don't get me wrong, it was actually pretty interesting; I enjoy that battle royal genre a lot. But I just couldn’t get behind the predictable episode structure and most unlikable characters. I was glad when I started to like people, but then they’d die off and make me feel like I wasted my joy. So, that was rough going, even if it was predictable in the end it was a fun watch.
Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - The Animated Series

Oh my god, Kino is a wonderful anime, but I couldn't make myself drop one of the other 12 down. So no don't think I didn't love this anime, I did, I adored it. The visuals were beautiful, the music was great, and each individual story was amazing. Episode 11 was incredible in my opinion, and a satisfying watch to realize how Kino came to be.
Konohana Kitan

I might be a bit slow, but I did NOT realize that the hotel was a kind of limbo til very late in the series. Did I miss some key dialogue? Maybe, someone let me know. But holy hell has this been an amusing watch. Its been beautifully animated, and on top of that the stories are all heartwarming.
Kuzu no Honkai

This fucking anime, holy shit this anime. I had some issues here. First of all, our two protagonists, like fuck, why didn't you end up together? Like, are you that childish that you can’t accept that you’ve made mistakes but are essentially good for each other? Also; Ecchan; can really go fuck off, her attitude drove me up a wall the entire series. What a horrible personality. God, I think I only made it through this because I was hoping for a happier ending and man did I not get that.
Little Witch Academia (TV)

Very unpopular opinion incoming. This should have stayed a movie. There, I said it. I didn't think it needed to be adapted into a full length anime. It felt like every episode dragged on and on and only felt like it reached a proper pacing structure towards the end when everything started to go down. Had the series been condensed to 12 episodes I get a feeling I may have been fonder of it.
Masamune-kun no Revenge

Masamune really needs his revenge; he went from tubby to abs in a few years. He needs to get vengeance for starving and working out to be healthy. Wait that sounds wrong, shouldn't he be thanking her for making him realize that he needed to get healthy and that she was kind of a bitch? That would be the logical outcome, but no, we get led into a lengthy hell. The manga has started to move towards the conclusion, which I think might satisfy me more than the anime did, but we'll see what happens.
New Game!!

More of the same and that's okay with me! Watching the game development process is fascinating! And the characters are all adorable and relatable! And so well drawn and animated. I really do love this series so much, even though it broke my heart with the last episodes. Oh well, I trust the writers!
Princess Principal

I really liked the series. But, I felt like I was watching the episodes out of order a lot of the time. That really threw the pacing through a loop in my opinion. I thought it was a lot more mature than I initially gave it credit for though, so that was good overall. I'm glad I watched it.
Re:Creators

This on the other hand, I regret bothering with. But I was so many episodes in by the time I regretted it that I couldn't just stop anymore. Man, this was not a good anime.
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2

If you'e watched season 1, you know what season 2 is all about. Death, glory, fighting, WOO! While we do make some plot progress in season 2, we haven’t gotten to the real meat of the plot just yet, so hopefully another season and we'll get to the nice dark conspiracies!
Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale

I loved the Ordinal Scale movie. I was able to go see it in theaters and it was fantastic. While original content, it fit so well with the world that Sword Art Online has built. And the magnificent tease at the end. We will see Alicization soon enough boys!
Trinity Seven Movie: Eternity Library to Alchemic Girl

A shame I didn't get to see this in theaters, but man it was good. While not canon to the manga's story it held its own with a very interesting take on the series. I enjoyed it quite a lot.
UQ Holder!: Mahou Sensei Negima! 2

Oh god what a fucking train wreck. Why can't they make a good Negima anime? Is it really that hard to get it right? It was so fucking bad. Why can't you stick to the source material? Why must you skip so much? God fucking damn it.
Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e (TV)

At least we end on a high note. This was one hell of a trip. The concept was cool and the animation was decent. They had some issues with slow pacing to start, but once the politics and drama began it just kept rolling. I wish it had had more episodes to give us more plot because with how it ended, you really are left wondering what the intentions of the main character are and where the story is leading. Oh well, hopefully it gets another season or if not I'll have to read the light novel.
And with that we come to a close, yet another year of anime. While I watched significantly less this year, it was still a lot I think. I hope this helps you if you are on the edge about some of these, if not, well, sorry I like to ramble. I';m always open to discussion, so if you have opinions that clash, let us have a duel of words. Til next time!
Edit: Apparently my formatting freaked out a bit and I had to fix it, hopefully I got everything, if not let em know!

2016 Anime in Review
Holy hell, if I’m right, this is now my fourth year writing up one of these bad boys. Yep you read that right, I’ve been putting myself through this ritual for four years. Man time flies doesn’t it. You’d think after all this time I’d ask someone to proof read these to make sure I don’t get any silly mistakes in here like usual, but I won’t, cause that’s part of my charm. Lol. Anyways, sorry its a day late, New Years Eve got the better of me.But now, time for the anime! Here are my top 12 in alphabetical order!
Boku dake ga Inai Machi

Oh man, while I did come into this anime late and watched it all in one sitting it was still a wonderfully suspense ride. It was stressful as the episodes went on, but the mystery wasn’t very deep. My assumptions slowly proved correct and how horrible it was to be proven right. While it comes to a relatively peaceful conclusion, it was still tense up to the end, but it was a great ride all the same.
D.Gray-man Hallow

A long awaited sequel to D.Gray-Man. If you had been reading the manga, you were not surprised by the anime at all, and were more than likely pleased that they followed it to the letter. The only real tragic part is that the anime and manga are basically caught up and we have no more of this wonderful series to watch or read. Its terrible considering where we are is the most intense and suspenseful part of the series yet and so many questions are open that need answers.
Dimension W

A sleeper hit for me, but one I am glade I watched. It was a thrilling ride, packed with action, story telling, and beautiful visuals. If you are into action and conspiracy with a twist of sci-fi and retro-fitting, you are in luck since that is what this series literally is all about. If the art isn’t your cup of tea give it a few episodes before you give it up, because beneath that is an amazing world and narrative that leads up to a relatively satisfying end.
Durarara!!x2 Ketsu

Now, last year I wasn’t able to give a spot to Durarara because it wasn’t that great the first two seasons, but its final season this year was the climax to those two seasons and man oh man was it a wonderful showing. Everything wraps up, the action kicks off into high gear, all the psychopaths in this show start clashing, and good ol’ Mikado is far off the deep end. It was a wonderfully twisted season that redeemed the rough start of the two first seasons, by showing us why all the set up was needed in the end to understand everything.
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

Oh Grimgar, you brutal mistress, you made death such a real and painful threat real quickly. You were hated for your slow pacing and the fact that the characters were “weak”. But in reality Grimgar was a much more real interpretation on if you drop someone into a “game” world; they will not quickly pick up fighting. It will take time and effort to become competent enough to survive and make a living as a “monster” slayer. I for one found this approach to the genre very refreshing, and while it started to show that old trope of “here’s the limit break” at the end, it wasn’t in an overtly obvious fashion. So while many scorned you, I enjoyed you to the fullest Grimgar.
Kiznaiver

Here’s the thing, Kiznaiver was a great anime. The story was fantastic, the music was grand, the animation and art direction was top notch, it was all very good. But the problem I still have with it is that they crammed this new girl bullshit down our throats. Now I got some shit for saying that in my prior review on the series, since Agata knew Sonozaki for longer since they knew each other as kids. But that was a short period during the Kizna beginning trials. It’s shown that Chidori has known Agata longer. God damn it. I’m tangenting again. Kiznaiver, great anime, hated the pairing finale.
Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!

KonoBitsu is honestly one of my favorite animes this year, if not my favorite, normally the bias isn’t so clear, but this was just a really fun anime for me to watch. The art was beautiful, the story was nice and lighthearted, and the characters were all well written and executed. Sure they tug us around with if the two mains will get together, but it’s a short anime, it wasn’t gonna give us a resolution when the manga itself hasn’t either. (Though I want that resolution so bad, come on Usa-chan deserves it.)
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!

Man, KonoSuba… What a shit show. Not a bad shit show mind you! It was just a chaotic ride of glory. While I just thought it was neet going to op savior of fantasy world, it quickly goes to neet goes to neet with adventurer title, level up nerd. This gave it such a unique flavor to this dense genre that it stood out as a shining beacon of glory and hilarity. I swear the sobs this anime brought out from me due to oxygen deprivation are the closest I ever came to fainting from laughter. Thanks KonoSuba, you were great.
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?

I knew from the moment I started watching this anime that it was gonna be good. The premise was hilarious. I love the MMO scene personally. Art style was also right down my strike zone. Story might have seemed to go nowhere but that’s slice of life for you.
New Game!

New Game was a great anime series. As a manga adaptation it can be a scary time waiting for it to come out. But it came out and was a very faithful adaptation; the art style was perfectly in sync with the manga style, overall a wonderful slice of life experience.
Occultic;Nine

I just talked about Occultic;Nine in my fall roundup, but that series was a wonderful brain twister. Most people say it had pacing issues. And I’ll agree that it would have probably benefited from getting two cours, it was still a great series that was expecting you to keep up. I’m glad to have watched it and hope the cold reception toward it changes.
Rewrite

As I’ve said before, I haven’t played the visual novels so to me Rewrite seemed fine, especially since it is getting another season which I expect will clarify some of the outstanding questions that season 1 left. And if not, well my opinion my change on the series after that. But as it stands, I enjoyed what I got.
HONORABLE MENTIONS- We are going back to honorable mentions this year instead of just me rambling about the rest of the anime I watched this year because I have been doing the quarterly reviews per season of anime and rounding up my impressions on everything I watch there. So if you want a bit more depth or whining look for those on my tumblr by looking for the anime roundups.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Ilya 3rei!!

As I’ve said before, Ilya was a glorious seasonal anime this year. It struck hard and fast and it was quite a brutal story as it made a little girl decide between the world or her friend. Not cool world. Reason it didn’t make it to the top anime of the year was because it was a sequel and other things seemed more worthy
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk 2nd Season

In all senses the second season of Gakusen was better than the first. It got rid of the handicaps the first season was full of and it made for a great watch. That being said, it wasn’t revolutionarily different from season 1.
Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri 2nd Season

Less humor, more action, more drama. It goes from a funny journey in a fantasy world to a harsh reality of what would happen if earth got their hands on another planet or world and had to dispute how to divide said place and how to deal with the inhabitants. Same reason as Gakusen for being here, just a sequel and other things were better or more deserving.
World Trigger

World Trigger was almost in the top 12 list, but then fucking that anime original arc struck and it was very very bad and soured the entire anime series for me. Other than that the anime was okay.
And there you have it. Another year, another list. I have absolutely no clue what I’m watching in a few weeks, been too busy with the holidays too look. I think Rewrite season 2 hits this Jan so I’ll be watching that for sure. Otherwise I gotta go look. Maybe I’ll do that now! Anyways, see you around March-April when the season ends!

Fall Anime Roundup
Mother fucker, the holidays are a busy time. I’m literally writing this for the first time on the day I’m posting it. God damn, here we go, this was a short season for me since nothing really caught my eye, though I heard of some good shit I might go watch in my free time later.
Gi(a)rlish Number

So this anime was.. unenjoyable to say the least. I kept watching cause I thought, I’m only watching four anime this season, if I stop this I’m down to 3 and Sousei and that anime is an even bigger turd. So I kept watching. I regret that to an extent since the main character is a turd of a character, if her personality was likable to anyone I am surprised. I enjoyed this the most when we went an episode without her in it, it was great, the side characters are actually wonderfully written.
Occultic;Nine

Oh man, now I know this is a very polarizing anime since some think it was rushed. But I think that is what made it such a fucking thrill. You have to be able to keep up with the insanity presented to you about as fast as the characters in the show are dealing with it. And I think people forget that Steins;Gate and the such were shows that made you go WTF are you doing what the fuck am I watching, what is happening, and then it all kinda clicks at the end with help from the community piecing together the bombardment of information. I thought it was a wonderful cluster fuck of glory and would watch again in a heartbeat if I had the time.
Okusama ga Seitokaichou!+

Man, I won’t even defend this. Its a guilty pleasure due to the first season being so hilarious. This is not a great anime, if it even counts as one. Its pretty close to hentai. Don’t watch without prior season knowledge. And a lock on your door. And headphones. And a defibrillator for your heart.
Shuumatsu no Izetta

While it had its ups and downs, I think Izetta was a beautiful anime and had a nice story to go along with it. It tried hard to be very serious and did a wonderful job and keeping suspense, but at the end of the day it was a little too adorable and you knew everything would work out somehow. While some may disagree, due to how bleak parts of the show are and how real death was in the show. We all knew how it was going to end and the changes that would have to take place. While predictable, I enjoyed Izetta through and through and I think many people did as well.
Well, this was much shorter than prior seasons, but I’ll make up for it. I’ll be posting my top 12 anime of the year tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. That takes a bit more work, since I have to decide. And... well that always is hard. But yea, look forward to that! See ya soon!

Summer Anime Roundup
Fuck, so, my last anime for the summer just ended and I was not prepared at all! So, let’s get to it!
Active Raid Season 2

So the second season of Active Raid huh, I wasn’t sure how to feel about this anime in season 1, but I felt I enjoyed season 2 more. I’m not sure if it grew on me or if it got better. The action was pretty good time and time again, but I did find some of the story a little out there as I did in season 1. I also do wonder why they gave Asami her own unit to command, but whatever, it was a good ride nonetheless.
Ange Vierge

I powered through this one, I did not enjoy it much. It was a dull plot, they introduced characters and then made them vanish/explained them via pure flashbacks. I feel like it was a mess of story telling. That and I guess personally flashbacks aren’t something I consider proper to use the entire fucking series. At least the fights were kinda cool. But it was pretty typical beyond that.
D.Gray-man Hallow

A continuation of one of my favorite series of all time. It stayed true to the manga and the animation quality went up nicely with this new season. I do wish they had animated just a bit more, but I understand there isn’t enough source material to keep going, so I’ll take what I can get. I will say if you didn’t see the original anime or read the manga, you may be wary of watching this since there is no set up at all, you are expected to understand what is going on when you start watching without explanation.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Ilya 3rei!!

What season of Ilya is this? I don’t know. Whatever it is, its been great. The fights were beautiful as always, the comedy was there even with as heavy as the subject matter started to turn. And then fucking bombshell dropped toward the end with Miyu’s brother appearing, but I won’t ruin that. Just be prepared for glory. Also mini-Gil is glory.

Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!

I love the manga for this series. it is absolutely pure slice of life, but the art is cute, the characters are funny, and I found bliss in watching this episode after episode. It was a great time for me and if you want a fun anime to watch from this season this is the one I’d suggest. Also comedic gold like this is rare:

New Game!

As with KonoBitsu, I came in having read the manga so I had high hopes. When I saw the preview art for the series I got very excited since it matched the manga style so well. And I was not disappointed, it was a great series and I’m glad it got animated. It is also heavily slice of life, but it does give some bits of insight into game development cycles and how that works. I hope it gets another season in the future.
ReLIFE

Now this was a rare one, it aired all the episodes at once at the beginning of the season. That startled me and many others I think. It was a very good series, I wish it had had more episodes since I felt a bit disappointed to not get more info on the situation and how it was going to get resolved in the end. Not to mention that fucking cliff hanger at the end.
Rewrite

Let me preface this by saying I have not played the visual novels, I have not read up on the scenarios, so I only know this from the anime standpoint. It was very slice of life in the beginning and steadily grew more serious toward the end. I feel this must be rushed since some plot elements came out of nowhere. Regardless of this, it was still a fun anime to watch and I enjoyed the ride. The ending was kinda startling, to say the least, but it was good and we are getting another season so that is good. And I’ll remind all naysayers for this anime, most of you said Little Busters was an awful adaptation, but after Refrain came out most of you shut up because Refrain was good and made you see the first half in a better light since it made more sense as to why the studio did the anime as they did.
Man, I didn’t watch much this season, and next season is even worse, I think I’m watching 3 things only beyond the one show that I’m watching from Spring. Maybe something will be a sleeper hit or something. Anyways, the fall roundup will be clumped together with the year review instead of being separate, so see you around, mm December 27th or so!

Spring Anime Roundup
So, found out one my spring anime’s is 2-cour, so I actually have to write this now so this is ultimately a speed write up cause I thought I had til Wednesday to start this. Crud. ANYWAYS! HERE WE GO!
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk 2nd Season

So season 2 of Gakusen, also known as when it gets good. Obviously there are plenty of people that think this show is generic and boring, but I found the fights to be enjoyable. Our protagonist finally breaks his limits and is able to fight for prolonged periods of times this season and gains access to new (locked) abilities. His strongest ability being his cognition ability that he learned as a child, letting him essentially read the flow of battle and allowing for greater counter attacks. So fighting wise I felt this season was superior hands down to season 1. The story kinda stumbled after the phoenix festival, but its mostly set up for another season, which hasn’t been announced. Hopefully it does get announced as this was the beginning of what I feel the real story is, with Ayato’s and Julis’ stories finally beginning to get more background and traction, along with the other characters stories coming to light, such as Claudia’s in the last episodes.
Hundred

Heehh.... this was unmemorable for me. It was so-so animation and fights, but overall the story wasn’t able to make up for the lack of good fight and animations. Obviously it could also be that the art style didn’t suit me so I didn’t like it purely on that. I also didn’t like the deus ex machina of SONG IS POWER bs, but at least they tried to cover that up by saying the frequencies jammed each other out. I dunno, I guess this school life fight genre has gotten saturated as they say and being a late comer to the genre makes it harder to live up to expectations of previous season like Rakudai, Infinite Stratos, Gakusen, etc.
Kiznaiver

Studio Trigger out did themselves again. This anime was riveting from day one and was the one I desired to watch week by week. I wish it had gone a bit longer, but the story was solid, the emotions were pretty real, and it had a good mix of humor throughout. It went from lighthearted to serious very well, but it had a bit of a rushed ending I feel that needed a few more episodes to seem a bit more genuine than “OH NO GIRLS IN TROUBLE TIME TO SPEED THINGS ALONG”. I feel it was tragic that Chidori lost, I wish she had won, but anime’s like this and all anime really hate the childhood friend. So, fuck all anime to be honest, cause the childhood friend is normally the best option but they cram the “NEW GIRL” shit down our throats. (Looking at Nisekoi and To Love Ru as examples of the NEW GIRL fanaticism.) Regardless, the Kizna system made for a great way to force these kids to interact with each other, and it also bonded them past the system to becoming true friends, regardless of their poor romantic interests.
Mayoiga

What the fuck was I watching? Send help. Too many characters, conflicting interests, random supernatural shit escalating to scientific shit that never gets explained fully. It was a cluster fuck that barely made any sense. But that’s what makes shows like Mayoiga so fun to watch. While I’d never recommend it to anyone as a first pick, I’d definitely be like, “Hey, you wanna get mind fucked a bit? Go watch this.” Maybe I don’t think deeply enough to get what Mayoiga was trying to drill down to, but what I did get out of it was the general lesson of, while shit might happen, you can’t run away from it, you gotta look forward to the future and learn to cope with the pain instead of running away.
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?

Man, Netoge was great. Ako is the best waifu we’ve seen in ages. Nishimura’s past trauma made it so he had to be reserved and not nutso about a girl, which gave a refreshing pace to their relationship. The support cast was great, in particular I fell in love with Segawa because while she was tsundere supreme she actually deeply cared for her friendship with her guildmates and sincerely wondered at one point if her mean act was going to far with Nishimura. I find that a tsundere is best employed when she isn’t overly trying to hide her feelings, just her outward image. Honesty is the best policy! Regardless, the story was great, it showed some of the more amusing aspects of guild play like having to deal with a crappy healer or trying raiding and failing and Pay2Win schemes. Kinda hoping they get another season greenlit.
Seisen Ceberus: Ryuukoku no Fatalites

So this anime... how am I supposed to feel about this one? I’m not sure. I wish it could be positive, but I felt the story dragged on, and they repeated the same plot arc twice at least, where they make some progress, they get attacked, and Giruu gets fucked up somehow. That’s not progress, that’s having no idea what you’re doing and trying to get feels out of an audience that is bored. Its a shame it was such a poorly executed story because under all that a guy having a dark demon dragon in his body seemed like a cool idea and done well they coulda either gone the I’ll master the dragon powers or the I’ll find a way to exorcise this thing and kill it to avenge my parents! Which they might later on, but atm it seems like they had no plan whatsoever in the anime.
And with that, my spring round up is done. I am watching Twin Star Exorcists, but that apparently isn’t ending yet so that will be talked about in summer if that’s when it ends. I hope it goes long cause the manga is fantastic and I want more of what I read. Anyways, see you guys around what, September I think, for the Summer Roundup!

Winter Anime Roundup
So here I am, astoundingly talking about anime on another occasion that isn’t the end of the year. You must be thinking, why is this asshole blogging actively? Simple! An anon seemed to enjoy my yearly anime in review, complimented me and got me thinking about reviewing stuff again. So after little thought and some boredom I thought, what the hell, a seasonal roundup review isn’t that time consuming, I can do this!
Format is simple, I’ll go a bit more in depth than during the yearly review and I’ll talk about all the things I watched. Now let’s get started!
Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari

So first we have the first half of Active Raid, the cop action anime of the season. I was hesitant to watch Active Raid because the art style was a bit outside my strike zone, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. While the series was mostly predictable and episodic it was a very solid anime with good animation and music. I particularly enjoyed the final two episodes, particularly the twists at the end. Overall, I’m happy with the outcome and am pleased to see it get a second cour in the summer.
Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm

And contrary to Active Raid, Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm got me purely on its art style. I liked how the girls were designed, the animation looked silky smooth and with a focus on sky scenes (I’m a fanatic for anime with good sky art) I was suckered in. The story was slice of lifey, which I’m a fan of, and the characters were mostly written well, with few exceptions here and there throughout the season. They added strife and trial to the two main girls, which I understand comes with the territory of a “sport” anime which it somewhat is, but it seemed a bit forced at times, which was off putting, but their resurrections after their tribulations were magnificent which allows you to turn a blind eye to the poor character development. While I hoped to see the male protagonist take the skies in a match and not just briefly, I’m satsifed with what I got from this anime at least, unlike a certain anime toward the bottom of this list... -glares at phantom world-
Boku dake ga Inai Machi

Let me start by saying I binge watched this a day after it finished airing, and boy oh boy I think that was the wrong way to watch this anime since everything felt predictable and not tense at all. Had it been weekly I might have been plagued by doubt of what was going to happen and been more excited to have my theories proven right, but watching it all at once made me feel a little disillusioned. NOW, this isn’t to say I didn’t love Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, it was a fantastic story, riveting characters, painful moments, and gut wrenching family connections. It made me cry at least once and it was very well written. I just feel that either I lost some of that mystique watching it all at once or people may have over hyped it.
Dimension W

I will be the first to say I didn’t like the art in Dimension W. I don’t know WHAT I didn’t like, but it just wasn’t in my sweet spot for the art. So that was a no-no for me. What I did love was Kyoma’s character, he was very well written, strong, and resilient with a touch of sensitivity shown throughout the series. It can be rare for those strong silent types to be written well, so it was a sigh of relief for Kyoma to be. I also like Mira because she was just so many levels of adorable. I do hope we get more of Dimension W because I feel there's a lot more they can do in the world and the characters were all likable.
Divine Gate

Man... this anime huh... I literally only kept watching for two reasons. I love the opening with a passion and I hoped that Aoto would get some glorious final battle with amazing animation that would make me feel justified in watching the series as a whole. I was disappointed with a lackluster finale and vague memories of what happen in the anime as a whole. Its a shame that such a pretty anime was just a cluster fuck of story and pretty characters with no real plot or direction.
Durarara!!x2 Ketsu

AND THIS IS WHERE DURARARA REDEEMED ITSELF! The final season was a magnificent work of art and story telling. It made me feel what I felt during the original Durarara! It was a wonderful finale for the series and I’m happy to see all the plot lines mostly closed up and finalized. For those that gave up on the series during the first or second part, power through and make it to this season. Everything starts coming full circle and people start making their moves that they’ve been plotting the entire season. Its a beautiful conclusion to a wonderful series, it makes me glad I powered through the first two parts.
Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri 2nd Season

Gate season 2 does not need an introduction if you watched season 1. If you liked the characters and the action and the JSDF in season 1, you’ll love them even more in season 2. The story and the stakes get higher this season, the darker sides of war and politics rear their ugly heads and we begin to see the more horrendous part of war tactics. While the JSDF retains glory, they are crippled throughout the season be it by their own government or by the locals. It was a wonderful second season and I couldn’t have asked for more. Also Leilei besto-girl, waifu #1, Itami confirmed husbando during this season.
God Eater

And the final episodes of this series is what the series should have been to begin with. Action action action nonstop slaughter and chaos with conspiracies in the background. I loved the final episodes of God Eater, which they followed the games slightly closer and made strides to connect to the game so they could make a season 2 should they ever be inclined. Though Super Saiyan Lenka with transformer master God Arc is bullshit, had I had an arc that had fucking millions of final forms the game woulda been laughably easy.
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

You either loved or hated Grimgar. You either loved that it took time to build a world or bitched that it was going too slow and that them being scrubs and not being able to kill a gobo was pathetic. I, am of the party who believes this was a magnificent anime with perfect pacing showing how REAL people would have to adjust to becoming monster slayers in a new world and the struggles. I could go on for pages, but I’ll try to contain myself. I loved the characters in the series, I adored how beautiful the art was, though the opening and the ending took the cake for best art sequences of this season I think. The story while some say slow, I thought was well paced since it showed growth of the characters without bullshit power ups (though some say Haruhiros final attack of the season might be one, I say its fine). The music was great, if a little overused. And the series was not afraid to make death a very real threat, as shown early in the series. (I still hurt from that first death.) I sincerely hope we get another season since I’ve caught up to the light novels and volume 3-8 are where the story really picks up for you action and speed seekers. And I have to say that volume 3 is one of the most powerful moments this series can offer and I would love to see that in anime form. (Disclaimer: no they aren’t translated, I can read very very slowly in Japanese with the help of google and my very very rudimentary understanding of the language.)
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!

Fuck man, this was a sleeper hit of the most magnificent kind. The otaku hikamori continues to be a loser but becomes a competent loser in this new fantastical world? Fucking hell that’s new, normally they get overpowered or stay shit, there's never a middle ground is there!? FUCK!? Why was this so good you may ask? Because of this one reason. I loved all the characters besides Aqua, and Kazuma was glorious with his odd ball set of skills. I must admit I never expected to love this series as much as I did, but it was hilarious, action packed, and the small amount of fan service was pretty good. 10/10 would ROFL again.
Musaigen no Phantom World

Guuuh. This series was a disappointment til the final episode with Hachiko’s HARUHIKO’S super summon. I went in thinking, this can’t go wrong, its from the same studio that did Hyouka, Chuunibyou, Haruhi, and Clannad! Fuck was I wrong, I was crying bitter tears by episode 4 when the story was everywhere, the characters were written all over the place, my hatred for Ruru was escalating along with my disdain for Kurumi. I hear they were both anime original and that only Reina, Mai and Koito were in the light novels, and I wonder why they though this loli and fairy were worth adding. The three girls I just mentioned along with Haruhiko were fine in my opinion, but adding these extra elements seemed to throw everything out of balance and make this series a clusterfuck. God damn. GOD DAMN IT! I wanted to love this series, the music was top notch, I love Kyoto Animations art work and it looked beautiful, but it was just so awful. God damn it...
Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

At least this disappointment I saw coming a mile away... At least I wasn’t hoping it was good. This was harem laced fan service with a story I couldn’t quite comprehend. Maybe my negative feelings to start with blinded me to the story and I should give it another chance later on. I liked the male protagonist at least. He didn’t seem to be a pushover to his harem and seemed a little more aware of it growing into a harem. Maybe I do need to rewatch this later with a more open mind. Or maybe it is bad and I just need to stop myself from watching shit like this (not happening since I think 3 this season are similar).
World Trigger

Fuck this was longer than I expected it to be two years ago. I picked this up thinking, “Oh this looks cool, it will get a cour or two and that’ll be swell.” 73 episodes later and that cour was not a cour and man oh man was this a great anime. Minus the fucking anime original filler which was trash. The first half of the anime was a wonderful build up to the first war/invasion. All the fights were rad. The animation was generally very smooth. The plot and story seem to be on a steady path. The characters are all likable and I could name at least a vast majority with confidence, which proves that they are memorable and likable. The second half was trash and if you need to know it starts around 47 and ends around 64. You’re welcome. The third half is very good as well as it follows the manga, with the rank wars escalating further. I hope to see more World Trigger some day in the future.
And that’s the Winter roundup, overall, quality season with a few stinkers, though I guess I’m getting a bit pickier with what I pick up. Hopefully this is an enjoyable read! Season you around June for the Spring roundup!

I like your annual anime in review, because it helps me to pick the shows to watch (and not watch!) I wonder what you think of the Japanophile's Handbook that just came out? I saw it posted on a few anime reviewers sites (like misty chronexia) and maybe it's something you can post about if you're looking for ideas since I enjoyed it as a general reference for Otakus. But I'm sure youg et more than enough ideas. ^_^ Keep up the good work!
That is the book by Alexi Maxim Russell if I remember correctly? I did read it and I thought it was a pretty colorful read. It delves more into the Japanese culture and customs than I ever do in my reviews so that’s interesting. I honestly just started watching anime as a kid in America so I never had a guide on how to watch or understand lingo, it was just kinda learn as you go. Like in the very begin of my anime days, I’d have to pause, go to google, drop the term in and read either a yahoo answers response on the term or the rare wikipedia entry on it. So, I personally just kinda learned what I know about the industry of anime by assimilation, that being I immersed myself in various anime over the years and picked up things here and there. Now a days its so much easier to get into anime, ontop of everything being a quick search away, there’s books like Russell’s to give you a crash course on lingo and the such. So I always say to people there is no time like the present to get into anime. I do think I learned a bit in my read, but as its not my style to delve deep into anime generally (There are exceptions, in my earlier blogging days I delved a bit deeper due to episodic nature of my reviewing.). I try to keep my reviews short and to the point now a days just cause I know people are busy and its also easier to read a review with minimal lingo but honest opinions on the content. I do at times wish I delved a bit deeper on the story side of anime, but those posts generally got my least notes so I feel people didn’t like blocks of text (Like this lol), so they got fazed out for shorter reviews. Anyways, thanks for the question, I love doing the annual review so that will never go away as long as I can keep making time for it (I generally try to start compiling the post in early December to make sure I get it done lol). Glad you enjoy those, here’s hoping time allows me to post a bit more, maybe seasonal reviews in the future!

So today I took it upon myself to rewatch Sakurasou while I was gaming. I ended up putting my 3ds down and bawling along with the anime instead. This anime will never cease to punch me in the feels.
tumblr
So yesterday I finished watching Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. It is probably one of the animes that slipped by my radar that I’ve come to truly regret with how incredible that series was. I was gripped from beginning to end with how well produced the entire anime was, the story was riveting compared to most slice of life anime, and the characters were very well done. I’m very glad that I finally got a chance to watch this series.

2015 Anime in Review
Lord have mercy on my soul, its that time of the year again, feels like just yesterday I put myself through this task. Fuck. Anyways, even though I’m lazy posting on tumblr as of late, I feel obligated to do this post, cause you know, I’m a fucking no life loser around December anyways. As always, my top 12, followed by my bitching about the rest of the anime I watched that didn’t make the cut. And disclaimer, if “season 2″ of a series aired this year, its lumped together.
Dog Days''

Man oh man Dog Days season 3, I was hyped as soon as the announcement hit. Was it as satisfying as season 1? No, the rom-com elements are too strong and it didn’t match the glory of season 1. But man, it surpassed season 2 and its animation was beautiful and that was good enough for my fanboy ass.
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka

Oh man, I did not think i was going to love DanMachi as much as I did, but it was an incredible ride for me. People thought it was a bit cliche at times, but watching Bell become wimpy ass newb to heroic newb was a great ride. Plus the battle sequences were really well done and the choreography was good too, something that is rare at times.
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season

Season 2 of Fate, in other words, the good stuff. The action was top class the entire way at the end, the epic battle between Shirou and Gilgamesh done ufotable style was glorious, overall a great ending, even if the hardcore fate fans hated it, I loved it.
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk

Gakusen was a hype train for me, I’m a fan of the light novel and was excited to see it come to anime screens. We got the warm up for the series this season and I can’t wait for season 2 to strike cause its just getting started with what we got this season.
Gate: Jietai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

Fuck, this was a sleeper hit for me, I almost didn’t pick it up when it aired and would have been filled with regret had I not. It was a very real experience watching this anime unfold, with the bureaucracy of dealing with a fantastical world and that fantastical world being underdeveloped and inferior, it was a new light on the scenario, which I enjoyed.
Nisekoi:

More Nisekoi is never a bad thing. It was a great season for the series, with its fantastic animation, great source material, and awesome comedy. Its kinda sad its going nowhere both in the manga and anime, but at least its going nowhere in style. Though recently the manga is making some strides to what seems to be a conclusion, but its done that before in the past to no results.
Noragami Argoto

Season 2 of Noragami illustrated what I feel is the real beginning of the series, with Yato finding himself towards the end of the season and learning what he really wants to do with himself while the true enemy of the series starts to make its appearance. Overall a great year for this series.
Owari no Seraph Season 1 & Season 2

Vampires, a genre that has beaten to hell. At first, I was weary of watching this due to that reason, but it stands to be one of the best series of the season with great plot and action, though a lot of fucking unanswered questions. Here’s hoping for another season.
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry

(Yes I did dig through the bowels of the internet to find a picture with Ikki being more prominent, this was the best I could find that looked rad.)
I almost didn’t watch this either cause I got it confused with another light novel I didn’t like. I’m very glad I checked because Ikki is hands down the best protagonist I’ve seen in a long time, with a clear goal, strong heart, and is actually broken the harem trope and is in a fucking relationship. GG Ikki, GG.
Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata

Man oh man, this series spoke to me, it made me feel things anime hasn’t made me feel in a long time. Thank you Aki for being an oblivious otaku with only one thing in mind, it was refreshing to see a protagonist not lose his shit around cute girls. Also, that talent you found for your game, just, what luck.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso

Okay, its no fucking surprise to anyone that read last years post that this is on here, I literally raved about it more than the rest of my top 12 from last year. Kinda. I really fucking liked this anime, the visuals were gorgeous, the music was astounding, the story while predictable was painfully beautiful to watch unfold. Fuck man, I’m tearing up, why was this anime so riveting to me!?
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru Zoku

Now, this speaks to me too, but it speaks to the awful human nature in my personality. Hachiman is literally the best at being the worst type of human being, and that’s what makes this series great. That and Yui is pretty cute, though Iroha tried to steal the show this season.
Now, this section here, is the rest of the crap (metaphorical) that didn’t make the top 12. Either it wasn’t good, or it didn’t strike me as much, as such its less of a review and more of a explanation as to why I didn’t put em in the top 12.
Absolute Duo

I didn’t really look forward to watching this series. It was more of a slog to get through it since I was suddenly six episodes in and had to finish it at least. The action was okay, the plot was... there, but it never pulled me in.
Charlotte

This... should be in my top 12 had it not felt so rushed at the end. This was 12 episodes while to really expand on the universe and situation it need 24-26 at least. I’m devastated that such an incredible anime seems to have been stymied by the fact it only had 12 episodes to tell its story. So, while I loved what I got, it felt like I need dlc to feel completion from this series.
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2 Sure-me

I watched this and season 1 in one go, while it was a very sweet series, I really wished it had been full episodes, the series felt like it had a lot more to show and tell me, so thus its placement here.
Durarara!!x2 Shou & Ten

Guh, Durarara... I wish I were more excited about this series. I loved season 1, so it would stand to reason that I would love these, but something just feels, wrong. Maybe its the fact Ryuugamine’s character has been twisted so far that it feels like a different person, or maybe its just too many characters at this point and I feel weighed down by the series. Whatever the case maybe, I didn’t enjoy watching it as much as I should have.
Grisaia Series

This is a sticky situation, the series was good, but it lacked a certain push, or maybe having it split into three parts made it drag on or left enough time for me to think, “Was this really good or not?” I feel odd about the series in general.
Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation
Man fuck this series, no picture treatment again. The premise sounded cool but it was a pain to watch by the end. The animation was clunky and the story made little to no sense. Why do I put myself through this shit sometimes I don’t know.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!

What started off as a fucking slog, turned into a great ending for Ilya with a fucking incredible battle sequence at the end, but the worst cliff hanger ever. Here’s hoping season 3? (Is it 3, I’ve lost track.) is better.
Isuca
Guh, this was something I regret finishing, I can’t even remember the plot, I just know I didn’t like the female protagonist and the male protagonist was forgettable. What a mess this turned out to be. If someone enjoyed this one, pleased enlighten me as to how you did so.
Juuou Mujin no Fafnir

Man, a lot of the dull ones clumped together, though at least this one will be granted a picture. God, was this year bad for anime? Or did I just pick stinkers, is my taste turning to shit? Who am I kidding I never had taste to begin with.
Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan

Christ almighty another one, even the great Kirito’s VA wasn’t enough to save this one. The girls were all annoying except for Lecty and Kirito’s VA’s character was supposedly awesome but crippled somehow or someway in an off screen battle, so he was lame comic relief with an occasional burst of awesome. What a bust.
Log Horizon 2nd Season

Fuck me the art style change was brutal on me, I couldn’t enjoy the second season even though it was some great material they covered. God, this should be in the top 12 but I can’t make myself do it.
Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu

I though I’d enjoy this, I didn’t really beyond Kyon. That’s really it. Bah.
Plastic Memories

This series made me cry every episode, but that was about it, I didn’t feel anything else. Its hard to call it a great anime when all it did was make me cry. So while I know this is on some peoples favs for this year, it just didn’t cut it for me.
Seiken Tsukai no World Break

This was a mess of story telling and the protagonist development was awful, but I enjoyed it. Mostly and only really for the limit breaks.
Shinmai Maou no Testament Season 1 & Season 2

Good fucking god, I’m not sure how I stomached this one guys. It was mostly hentai with some action sprinkled into it. Why do I put myself through this crap year after year? I’m not sure, but this was one of the worst.
Taimadou Gakuen 25 Shiken Shoutai

This was actually a really good series, the only reason it didn’t make the top 12 was because I couldn't justify taking any of the other top 12 off the list for it. Sad but truthfully the only reason its not up there, great fights, decent story, it had the makings of a favorite for me.
The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls 1 & Season 2

Okay, now anyone that has been on my blog or has seen the previous years postings knows that I love iM@S. That’s why I tried this series, but man oh man the girls are so damn dull in this series. I was done by the first season but I kept trying to give it a chance and stomached both seasons, to come to the conclusion that you can’t recapture the magic the original iM@S. I tried to love this series, I failed.
To LOVE-Ru Darkness 2nd

Man oh man, TLR is essentially just series loyalty for me at this point, I’ve seen the rest so I’m watching this one and any others that come out. I don’t know what else to do but watch the damn thing. Oh well, the humor never dies, the ecchi is just hard to swallow at times. Don’t you fucking dare make a joke or so help me god.
Anyways, final notes, I’m still watching anime loyally every season, I just don’t have any clue what the fuck I’m actually watching start January, I haven’t sorted that out yet. I’m just freshly graduated from college, so I’m busy looking for work plus the holidays are always busy as a hispanic lol. Anyways, if I don’t post again, see you next December!

What if aliens visited Earth during the Jurassic Period, found it to be occupied with a bunch of mean, giant lizards and thought “Well, fuck this planet” and never came back?
