New Summer 2025 Event: Spirk in a Cave

WHAT IS IT? 

The people who brought you Live Long and Pinup and the Zine O’Biology are back with a Shiny new Summer Spirk Event!

Welcome to the tropiest of tropes - our beloved Space Husbands are trapped in a cave! Why are they there? How long will they be alone? What will they do with this precious time? That’s entirely up to you! 

We’re looking for writers and artists to show us your version of Spirk in a Cave. You’re welcome to use any iteration of Spirk: TOS, TAS, TOS Movies, AOS Movies, or SNW. They all deserve some quality cave time.

HOW WILL IT WORK?

Pick a date from the list below. We’ll update it as the dates fill up. Right now we're booking two people per day. If every date gets taken we’ll do a third round of signups.

Send an Ask to this very blog including your chosen date and whether you are an artist, a writer, or some other exciting sort of fan creator.

We will send you an invite to join the Spirk Events Server (a fantastic community of Spirk writers and artists)

When your chosen posting date rolls around, post your fic/art/creation on AO3 and Tumblr.

Add your work to the Spirk in a Cave AO3 collection

In addition to your own descriptions, also add these tags: # spirk in a cave # spirk events 

Once your work is posted on AO3, feel free to share it far and wide!

We can’t wait to see the fics and works of art you’ll create around the theme “Spirk in a Cave” 

Fine Print: 

Fic minimum length is 2000 words. No max, but know yourself and be realistic about how much you can write in the next 14 weeks.

All art should depict Spirk in a Cave. Fic doesn't have to take place exclusively in the cave, but your cave scene should be important.

This is an 18+ event. Sorry, youths!

Since it’s an 18+ event your fanwork can be any rating you’d like! Have fun!

You need an AO3 account to participate. If you don’t have one yet, they’re free! 

Admission to the server is provisional. If you post your fanwork then great! You’re in! If not, we’ll regretfully ask you to leave. However, that’s not a perma-ban. You’re welcome to join up again the next time we have an open event! 

Please let us know in advance if you won’t be able to post your work. We won't be mad! Real life happens. The sooner we know the sooner we can open up that slot for other people.

Hours of work in just 30 seconds :')

I did not expect this artwork to be so realistic as I had used an anime base that was sent to me on discord. I've also never drawn people with such realism in the past. Usually people were the thing I was worst at. Which is why I usually like to draw animals.

But would you look at that! It's my favorite vintage space gays! :‍D

Also I didn't even try on the hands but I structured it so their faces pull your attention so it doesn't matter

Dream Spock leaned over and placed an open mouth kiss to the underside of his neck. Kirk violently shivered. He should push him away, define clear boundaries until he could figure out what to do. But instead his eyes slid closed and he swallowed his body flooding with leniency. He hated to admit how good it felt. He had come to… care about this version of Spock.

True Logic To The Universe

Who’s to say we can’t go one more round？By the last tally, only twenty five percent of the galaxy’s been chartered… I’d call that negligent. Criminal even —an invitation.

You once said being a starship captain was my first, best destiny… if that’s true, then yours is to be by my side. If there’s any true logic to the universe… we’ll end up on that bridge again someday.
