Bringing this back now that the Battle Planet series (G2) has come to a close:

Revisiting this now that I remember I used to post here, and with another short-lived reboot taking its place!

-Anime doesn't follow the real-life rules --The show never followed any version of the irl game rules, once again we got monster dogfighting

-Gameplay isn't the same in all regions --I think the turn order procedure was slightly different in Japan? But otherwise it was pretty much the same deal

-People still call it a Pokémon knock-off (Tbh the real-life game really never was, never will be) --Again, show is monster dogfighting from the get-go. Doesn't help the argument

-People still misread Dan's last name as "Shit", to which IT NEVER MEANT "SHIT" TO BEGIN WITH --They changed Dan's last name to be Kouzo, someone definitely wanted to avoid the "Shit" allegations

-Writers still trying too hard in having a main brawler for each Attribute --We didn't initially get a dedicated Aurelus brawler until Ajit's introduction, but the cast at least stayed constant and consistent between seasons

-Speaking of which, writers still don't care after Seasons 1/2 --Yea uhhhh....

-No cards from the anime printed in real-life --The best we got were some attack names printed as Action cards in the TCG.

-Bakutech taught the game's rules fine. I don't get why Battle Brawlers couldn't for the later seasons. --Again, monster dogfight

-Actually there’s a whole lot of things Bakutech did right and I just wanna see it all again -Heck, will we ever get Bakutech or really any Japan-exclusives internationally? --Jokes on me, Japan pretty much got no exclusives! AND THEIR TOYLINE + MERCH STUFF DISCONTINUED AFTER SEASON 1

-Support Pieces (if it ever gets brought back) still being essentially recycleable, sometimes game-breaking resources --BakuGear and Geogans were implemented as main deck Ability Cards now, permanent field "additions" that go to discard when removed from the field. Like any other card played!

-Mechtogan (again if it ever gets brought back) still are a big inconvenience to carry around, ESPECIALLY the Titans --Geogans required the actual toy mold to be played, but otherwise that's really it

-Attribute strengths being "equalized" like in Season 4 where everyone can do the same thing, making gameplay literally balanced but stale quick --TCG game was effectively discontinued towards end of Season 2 with the Season 3 sets going unreleased. And any deck able to use Howling Shell Bomb + Sync shenanigans was certainly the deck of all time :^)

-Big jumps in average G-Powers between seasons (Looking at you, Seasons 3 and 4) --Instead of 150+ between seasons, we go 100+ and with consistent core-snatching manipulation effects!

-Packaging still takes up unneeded space, not storage efficient in the slightest --Seems to have somewhat alleviated for Evolutions/Legends, but overall I've since learned each product is supposed to take up as much shelf space as their price point requires. So pass i guess?

-Special Treatments having additional rulings because why not --Good news, Diamond and Elemental toys do not have any additional gameplay benefits from regular variants as it always should've!

-I STILL GET DING'ED AT THE AIRPORT FOR BRINGING IT (Probably won't ever change but I can still hope) --Haven't tried flying out with a box full of Bakugan recently, wouldn't know

-Quality Drops are still a thing --Ahahahahahaaa, it's been downhill since after Geogan Rising ended and continuing to be even worse in Gen 3 wooooooo

-Please, us United States players have no need for an extra French language on our cards. Let there be more space for cool effects to be printed. --Jokes on the rest of the world, cards basically don't exist outside the big North Americas! and the BP vol. stuff released in Japan i guess (Pouring one out for the Canadians and any Europeans who got doomed with International Print, if they even got cards, because they got forced with three! languages crammed in a single textbox)

-ANIME STILL DOESN'T FOLLOW THE REAL-LIFE RULES AND PEOPLE STILL CALL IT A POKÉMON KNOCK-OFF WHEN THE GAME ITSELF NEVER HECKING WAS --IT'S STILL MONSTER DOGFIGHTING AND ITS ALL MONSTER DOGFIGHTING IN GEN 3 WAHOOOO

-They don't keep the Japanese soundtrack for the English dub --Yep, happened again. And once again, the Japanese soundtrack for Battle Planet SLAPSSS so much so that G3's JP dub apparently would've reused it had its full run been greenlit and toootally not because that show had no real budget :^)

Actually, you know what? Keep the entirety of the Japanese soundtrack while you're at it. Two Worlds Collide sounds bleugh in comparison to pretty much all of Japan's opening songs. And don't get me started on how amazing Japan's soundtrack is compared to the English dub.
