Dick: ok i think that's our guy. you ready to- *pause* Hood.

Jason: *distracted questioning hum*

Dick: who are you texting right now? we're supposed to be working.

Jason: yeah, yeah- i'm paying attention, i am, it's just the demon brat.

Dick: wait- you're texting Damian?!

Jason, casual: yeah, he's still pissed that Bruce's made him go on that overnight fieldtrip. been complaining to me all day about it.

Dick: *incredulous noise* i text him once to ask how it was going and he told me if i kept 'hovering' he'd block my number! how come you can text him all day and i get banned instantly?!

Jason: because i'm the fun brother?

Dick: you are not the-

*distant ping* *a snort*

Dick: -wait what'd he say?

Jason: uh, 'this is fucking stupid, i should have stayed in the desert'. hold on, let me voice message him back a sec and then we can go jump our target.

Jason: *throat clear* you should just shoot up the school, it would solve all your problems instantly.

Dick: JASON JESUS CHRIST-

Jason: don't fuckin' yell in my ear! and don't yell my goddamn identity, what's your problem?!

Dick: you can't say that shit to him!

Jason: see this is why i'm the fun brother. Damian'l find that funny, you guys are all just cowards.

Dick: you both scare me so much.

okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the "personal life" part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you'll either find a major tragedy he didn't recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she's not there anymore.

I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he's done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.

so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn't work in history, or, women aren't auteurs, or, there just aren't as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.

this is dean locking sam in the panic room to forcibly 'detox' him, and stalking him when sam escaped / this is sam letting dean out of the panic room because he has faith in him.

this is dean not wanting to become some kind of frankenstein monster so he could be immortal, and sam respecting his decision / this is soulless sam not wanting to get his soul back with his memories about hell, and dean forcing his soul back into his body without his consent.
