Is it just me who gets excited about the prospect of amusement parks? The thought of having a wide range of rides, some of which are frightening while others are entertaining, makes me feel enthusiastic. It is always accompanied by a sense of adventure. A visit to an amusement park is a thrilling experience for everyone, but especially for me. We always go to amusement parks whenever there is a festival in our area. Because of the extreme rides, people's screams and shouts can be heard from a long distance away. When I see the rides in the amusement park, the first thing that comes to mind is the time when my friends and I tried riding three of the extreme rides in the amusement park.
Monday, 10th January 2022. That day was totally awesome. You know why? For my friends and I decided to hang out after a long time of not seeing each other. We went to various places such as malls, parks, stores, and other places where we could stroll. We chose to walk rather than take a vehicle to get from one place to another because it seemed more fun and exciting. We were walking and talking about various things, some of which were nonsense, but we were still able to talk about them. We were just walking around when we came to an unexpected place. The sweet scent of cotton candy and the buttery aroma of popcorn greeted me. The swoosh of the rides swinging up and down can be heard. I froze in my spot, and the screams of people on the rides distracted me until I was able to return to my senses. When I realized we were in an amusement park at the time, I felt a surge of excitement inside me. I was so excited that I told my friends that we were going to ride all of the rides at the amusement park. I assumed they were equally enthralled by the idea of that, but I was mistaken. When I told them we were going to try different rides, they all shook their heads because they were afraid of riding the park's extreme rides. Because I am a daring person who has tried those extreme rides numerous times, I was able to persuade them that it was not all that frightening to ride those extreme rides. However, it appeared that they were not persuaded in the least. I suddenly got sad about that.
Moments had passed and the sun had already begun to set; some of my friends needed to go home because it was getting late. In the amusement park, it was just me and two of my friends. We hadn't done anything but eat and walk around after that brief visit to the amusement park. I was all sad because they didn't want to ride even once. I just shrugged and accepted that we wouldn't be riding any of the park's rides. I was about to lose hope when one of my two friends invited us to ride the octopus. Finally, my excitement returned, only to fade when the staff informed us that two people could ride together. That meant one of us would have to be separated. I saw the fear on their faces, and since I was the one who wanted to ride these rides at first, I volunteered to ride separately from them. I thought I'd be the only one on the seat, but then a guy sat beside me and told me he'd been told to join me for the ride so I wouldn't be alone at the time. I'm not sure why my hands became suddenly cold and my heart beat so quickly compared to its normal rate when I heard the engine start. When the ride began, I suddenly tightened my grip on the steel bar that kept us from falling. Swearing and shouting came out of my mouth, as did my friends, because I could hear them from behind. I didn't expect to be scared because I thought I was a brave person in this kind of situation.
When the guy next to me noticed that I was getting scared and sick, he began talking to me in order to distract me and make me feel less fearful. I discovered that he is the grandson of the owner of the octopus ride, and we exchange information about ourselves. I told him that I could already feel the world spinning, and he advised me to do anything he could to make me feel better. Fortunately, the dizziness I was feeling subsided after I followed his advice. The ride was coming to an end, and passengers were exiting. My friends were the first to disembark, and they went straight to the comfort room. When it was time for me to get off, the guy next to me assisted me in getting out of my seat. We said our goodbyes after I got completely off, and I followed where my friends went.
When I entered the restroom, I noticed my friends who were on the verge of passing out. They were dizzy at the time, and I was standing behind them, smiling for no apparent reason. One of my friends jolted me back to reality when she noticed that I was smiling all by myself. She began teasing me, telling me that the guy was the reason for my smile. I flatly denied it because it was not, or was it? I hushed her and assisted our other friend because it appeared she wasn't finished yet. We had planned to ride another one, but it appeared that my friend was unable to do so, so we decided to eat instead.
It was completely dark outside when we emerged from the restroom, and a cold air breeze was already touching my skin. We decided to have some snacks because it was getting late. I can still taste the savory meat we were eating at the time. Time really does fly by, and we needed to get home. I was all overjoyed at the thought of what had occurred during that one particular ride, but there were still regrets after that moment. One of my regrets is that I did not get the name of the guy who was with me on the ride. It's a pity I didn't know his name. But happiness still reigns supreme, and that day will live on in my memory. Now you know why I love the idea of amusement parks.
