Design*Sponge, run by goddess Grace Bonney, is one of my absolute favorite websites of all time and my favorite ever blog. Recently they featured a Guide to Fort Collins which highlights some of the best places I've grown to love since moving here 2 years ago. They feautre ones from across the nation, including Boulder, CO, and Santa Fe, NM. I love the idea of gathering information from the community this way to enhance travel experiences for everyone!

My momma's birthday was yesterday, so I bought her a pair of Gold Pompom Stud Earrings from Israeli shop Peshka and a Gold Lotus Bracelet from South Korean jewelers BK & JIO. Just a gorgeous set of jewelry for the one I love and who loved me for the last 21 years. Happy Birthday, Mom!

This project from Zim and Zou (via Behance.net) is a lovely tribute to the classic art of origami. These paper meals, featured as Fricote issue #14 magazine cover shots for an article discussing Japanese ingredients in European cooking, look deliciously bold and have incredible detailing. These images from Manal Rachdi OXO architects and Nicolas Laisne architect are part of a project in Paris to revitalize older "ghost" underground stations by turning them into different attractions (pictured here: swimming pool, nightclub, and garden). Sounds good to me! All I need is a few thousand and I'll be there in a quick minute. See Wired's write up about it here.

El Ten Eleven is a Los-Angeles-based duo (really! they're just two!) which play post-rock for all your studying, relaxing, looped double-neck guitar needs. I've been listening to their most recent album lately and couldn't help but share.

Brazilian digital artist Breno Bitencourt released this series of Low Poly Studies (via Behance.net) which depict birds, famous people, and even Santa Claus, all in polygons. If you ask me, this is the new impressionism. Bitencourt says he has more in the works, and I can't wait to see what they are!

Worley's Lighting (via Etsy) provides what they aptly describe as 'modern, rustic lighting for the home,' With a large collection that maintains both variety and consistency, Worley's showcases excellent work-working with simple highlights. Some of my favorite pieces are shown, but it's certainly worth checking out more of their collection at their Etsy shop (link above).

Spanish studio Brosmind produced this pack of cartoon playing cards for Bicycle, and as a try-hard "collector" of rad packs of cards, I can't pass this up. This 2014 Minerals Calendar from Lindsay Jones (via Etsy) is simple but colorful and fun. I love the type choices as well as the mineral illustrations, and the dimensions make me swoon. The quirkiness and understated loveliness makes this the sort of calendar I'd be proud to display anywhere, anytime.

Bring in the New Year a little differently with a 2014 Moon Phases Calendar from Little Lark (via Etsy). I like the different feels of the three printings, and since they're handmade, they feel authentic and have a nice air about them.
