Modern and hotel AU «Jeeves and Wooster»
The first chapter "The Flash Drive".
"Fill my heart with song," the girl in the shiny black dress stretched out softly, filling the half-empty restaurant room with her voice, "And let me sing forevermore." Bertram Wooster was clumsily hammering away at the notes on the piano, the tightness accumulating more and more in his chest with every word the singer, who had made a habit of stretching them out at the end of the lines. He had to take a break, or the visitors would be in for an unpleasant sight.
Puppy-eyed, Wooster turned to her, begging for a five-minute reprieve, but the girl didn't bat an eyebrow in his direction.
"All I worship and ado..." - Luckily for Bertie, the heartless "Fly me to the moon," which had bored him to tears during the month he'd been working at The Lucky Cabbage restaurant and was causing his brain to reject it, was cut short by a phone call that caught the owner's attention, vibrating and bouncing on the piano lid. Behind him, Bertie felt the baleful gazes of the saxophonist, singer, and violinist as he tore his fingers off the keys and, grabbing the phone, rose from the bench.
«Bertie...» The girl hissed irritably at him.
«I can't help it, Daphne dear. A call from Aunt Agatha....» he answered and slipped into the staff toilet.
The mere mention of Aunt Agatha always portended trouble and something wrong, especially if she decided to personally interrogate her nephew after eight weeks of total absence. Worcester pressed himself against the tiled wall, catching his breath from the long inhalation of cigarette smoke and before the promising conversation with his relative.
«Hello, Aunt Agatha.» he said with fake liveliness.
«Still working at the pub? I can hear the puffiness» she said unceremoniously from the hoarse speaker instead of a greeting.
«I am, actually. Why?»
»I have a wonderful offer for you. I will have to leave for a while to another hotel in Paris, it turned out to be more respectable and has a noticeable potential, but I think you are not interested in hearing about it. So I'll get to the point.» Aunt Agatha began.
«So, uh.»
«...My position as hotel manager remains empty.»
«So...»
«Bertie, don't be so stupid!» She barked, «I'm alluding to the fact that you should be the manager!»
«Me?» said Wooster incredulously.
«You!»

«Jeeves and Wooster» modern and hotel AU.
I wrote about this because I'm going to write a fanfiction with this au, which will be released on ao3 soon :D Almost all chapters will be based on Woodhouse's short stories. I hope you'll like it. I PROMISE THERE WILL BE JOOSTER HERE, IT'S JUST A REALLY LONG SLOWBURN.
Bertram Wooster
(24 y.o.)
Bertie lives on his aunt's allowance because he has asthma, but that doesn't stop him from working in establishments where he could play the piano to the singing of a pretty girl and other instrumentals. Suddenly, like snow in the middle of summer, the position of hotel manager fell on him, because Aunt Agatha was offered a job at a more promising hotel in Paris, where she urgently left.
Wooster is easygoing, silly, good-natured, tries to help, but makes things worse, so the employees do not take him seriously, tease him, blackmail and use him. Education - tourism, he studied this profession, considering it the easiest and most interesting.
Bertie knows how to play the piano, because he went to music school as a child, and he would like to build a career on it.
Wooster can't swim. In his free time he does sports, yoga, and sticks to a diet to keep healthy.
Reginald Jeeves
(30 y.o.)
Jeeves is a hidden man, nothing and no one knows about his relatives, personal life and interests. Everything known about him is on his resume. Reginald has vast experience in working in hotels, has many references from past employers and skills in various positions from waiter to chef.
The device in the hotel "Bristol" as a porter was carried out at the behest of Mrs. Gregson, so that Jeeves looked after her nephew, whom she does not trust completely, because everyone knows what Bertie is a slobberer, idler and irresponsible. Especially when the last porter was dismissed for numerous thefts of visitors' property.
In character he is reserved, quiet, erudite, not verbose, with respect for all. Reginald is erudite in part because of his studies in the philosophy department.
He has many skills, especially in cooking and drinking, but cannot ride a bicycle or rollerblade.
Florence Cray
(27 y.o.)
Florence Cray is a fashion magazine editor and is Bertie's future bride. Her father also owns the «Consul» Hotel, and it happens that Wooster's uncle Willoughby has written an unsatisfactory review of the Consul, which could lead to the downfall of its and her father's reputation. She intends to destroy the review before the world sees it, but not on her own, but with the help of Bertie.
She is fiery, domineering, and does not tolerate levity. Can match Jeeves' intellect. Interested in fashions of different time periods.
Studied marketing and worked at her father's hotel for a while in that profession. But Cray did not last long there, as she treated the waiters, maids, cleaners and other service staff with priggishness, cruelty and strictness.

Let's admit that BBC Irene Adler is really bad.
She's just a lovesick fool, even though lovesick fool should have been Sherlock.
There's nothing in her that's in the original Irene. In the book she tricked Sherlock in such a way that he didn't even notice, without bothering much. Nothing Interesting or noteworthy has been added to her in the series. She's a dummy. And moans are like a sound on notifications on Sherlock's phone...

Why does Mark really think that making Johnlock a canon would ruin the original source? Conan Doyle turns over in his grave with every new "film adaptation", so what can harm the first one?
