Inspiration for Dakota Nash.
From the start, Every idea I’ve gotten for Koda has come from shows and movie’s I adore. All featuring one common thing - strong women with flaws. The base of everything I do with her goes back to my childhood, to Sailor Moon. The original face of girl power. Girl power is the heart of who Dakota Avery Nash is. It is her core. But there’s also so many different aspects of her that branch from that. From Caroline Forbes, to Brooke Davis. From endless Degrassi characters, to Serena Van Der Woodsen. From Hanna Marin, to Maya Hart. And last but not least - from Kat Stratford, to Tiffany. They all have the strongest, most perfect aspects to draw inspiration from for my baby Koda. They’re strong, But they’re not perfect. They try as hard as they can in everything they do, but they fail sometimes. And most importantly, they love with their whole heart and have had their hearts broken time and time again because of it. Just like Koda. She is these women. Every one of them, in a big bowl of tangled pasta. ;p

"Are you really gonna leave without asking me the question you've been dying to ask me?" With a heavy sigh, Dakota glanced up at the male speaking. Her head shaking already, long before she spoke. “Anything I ask you only ends with lies and half-truths, so nah. I’m good.” She answered, picking her purse and camera up. “Besides, I have somewhere to be. So have fun with your little.. Whatever this is. And do me a favor, Lose my number.” She added, turning on her heel and leaving the residence long before the male could object or say anything to try and convince her to stay.
Did she need money? Yes. But she had her standards and morals. And what was in that home, stood against every single one of them. Therefore, She was done and long gone before anything could truly be explained. She didn’t want to know why someone had wanted a photographer for that kind of set up. With the things that laid out in the open around that home, it couldn’t have been anything good. All Koda knew was she didn’t want to know. No, She wasn’t pure or a prude. But that didn’t mean she was willing to put herself in such a bad place just for a little cash. No. Never. Instead, She’d ran the moment she could.
Turning down a street, one she didn’t know, Ko hoped for the best. She really didn’t know the Bronx that well. Hell, All she really and truly knew was Brooklyn - her new home - and Queens - her old home. All else, was still mostly a mystery to her. There were a few exceptions, of course. But other than those two areas, Koda really never ventured into places unknown. Especally not alone. But for jobs, she sometimes had to go out of her comfort zone on her own. And today had been one of those times. She kept trying to get her phone to help her with navigation, but after a while she knew it was pointless and just tried to figure it out herself. Retracing her entrance to the area would be an option, had she not gone and gotten herself lost in her little freak out leaving the place. But alas, she had. So it wasn’t. She was on her own to figure this out and get back home.
After twenty or so minutes, a frustrated Koda finally gave up and came to a stop outside a place called caffe latte. Maybe she could get directions, or at least get her phones gps to finally work while she got a little coffee and maybe a muffin. Getting out, she grabbed her bag then locked the car as she went inside and ordered. A little while later, only about five minutes, Ko finally had her coffee and a muffin and was sat in the left front corner of the cafe near the door. Her phone in hand as she tried to figure out her gps’ problem. Though it seemed pointless considering her phone just wanted to keep crashing. With a groan, the blonde smacked the phone down on the table and picked up her muffin. Stress stuffing her face, as she usually did when possible. All her surroundings, and any people passing by, all went unnoticed.

01. In relationships, are you more often the “heartbreaker” or the “heart broken”? Why? “As much as I wished it were the other way around.. I’m always the heart broken. Every relationship I’ve had, has ended in me being torn apart - no matter how long it was or what it was labeled. I really wish I knew why, just so I could fix it somehow. But I just, don’t.”
02. What’s missing in your life? What one thing would make your life complete? “True love. As cliche as that sounds. To me, it’s all that’s left that could make my life complete. I have my passions, my hobbies, my friends.. It’s all amazing. But that is the one thing I am missing. Maybe someday?”
03. What’s something about yourself that you hope will change but probably never will? “My ability to always be my own worst enemy. I know it’ll never change. I’ll never be able to fully love myself, but that’s okay.”
04. If you were stuck on an island with one other person, who would it be and why? “Does it have to be someone you know? Cause I’d so kill to be able to pick Thomas Rhett or Brendon Urie or Josh Ramsay or, well any tall dark and handsome singer. Just so I could learn from them, and have something nice to stare at besides nature. What? Don’t judge me. You know you’d want it to.”
05. Have you ever created fake social media accounts to talk/deceive someone? If so, why? “Yes. I made a few in high school, one in freshman year of NYU. The last time was to figure out if my then boyfriend really was going around flirting with other girls.. He was. The other times were to troll friends.”
06. What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done? “Trust a pathological liar.”
07. Do you believe in true love/soulmates? “As much as I act like I don’t. I do, completely.”
08. What’s your biggest turn on and turn off? “Turn on, as dumb as it sounds, is tattoos. I wish I knew why, but I don’t. Turn off, would be jerks or just anyone who doesn’t treat others with respect.”
09. Who or what inspires you to be a better person? Why? “My grandparents, for sure. They’ve believed in me from day one and continue to day after day, even if I mess up.”
10. Have you ever been in trouble/arrested by the police? If so, what for? “No, Never by the police. I’ve been in trouble plenty, but it’s never come to that.”
