February 20, 2019
half working on my lab report, half staring at the fake flower my mom gave me to liven up my desk. i have a lot to do, but i think i’ll be fine? if i keep chipping away at the workload, i’ll finish in no time!
my desk is a mess when i’m doing work. this is not even half of what i see, but it’s my organized mess, i guess. hope y’all are well!

I haven’t written notes anywhere other than my iPad for a while so it actually felt nice to write on paper for once.. how strange! Today feels like it is flying by but thankfully I’ve gotten a lot of math homework done as well as gone to 2 classes. So right now I’m looking at wine tours in Oregon for spring break👀💦

Went to bed and woke up feeling less than ideal today, so I decided to stay home and study in bed. Today’s topic: upper airway obstruction

02/21/2019 - this week has been… a lot. I got rejected from the fellowship I really wanted, I’m having to rethink my entire thesis idea, and got some bad family news. but it’s so easy to focus on the negative things even though there are so many good things happening! I’m presenting at a conference in two days! i’m doing well in classes! thinking about all of the negative things has only stressed me out more, so time to let them go and get on with it

Reading up for my presentation on Althusser and Gramsci next week for my Lit Crit class :) I am excited, at the same time, hella nervous to tackle the vastness of “ideologies.”

it’s cloudy but warm - I’ve never been able to have the window open at this time of year like I can in Brighton.
Crossing many readings off my list today, some assigned and some in preparation of my first dissertation workshop tomorrow morning.

Day 27/100
Today I practised my handwriting, which I haven’t done since 4th grade. It was really calming, especially since I was writing down quotes from one of my favourite books (The Marvels). I also somehow managed to look artsy while drawing stuff for my math project.
Others: I finished my Pentel Energel 0.7 refill. Only the 0.5 is left, then I’ll go to my Mujis.
I ordered “Six of crows” and “Crooked Kingdom” at the recommendation of the lovely @soliloquy-studies . I’m now anxiously waiting for their arrival.
