After finishing a bounty job given to me by a member of the Gek, I was directed to a trading post on a nearby undiscovered planet to receive my rewards. The planet the base was settled on was a cold, desolate, rocky planet that had an average temperature of about 100 degrees below 0 Fahrenheit! While there was some flora scattered around, I didn’t see any fauna. Although, I didn’t stick to that planet for long until I was onto my next task.

More discoveries from this lush desert planet! In this photo, a small deer-like creature gazes at the passing starships overhead. Although not shown in the image, this animal’s offspring trots not far behind in the tall grasses.

This small herd was one of the many animals I had discovered on the dry, orange planet. The family would appear to be a male, female, and faun. But with alien species varying so much, the relations between these creatures could be much more different. At this time, it looked like the farthest one was surveying the area for dangers as the small one was prancing around, and the closest was sniffing and pounding at the dirt with it’s hooves.

I’ve recently made much progress in my journey. The captain of a freighter, a member of the Gek race, messaged me through my starship. He was asking for help, as he was being attacked by pirates. I fought hard, and once the pirates were gone, the Gek commander offered me his freighter. I knew a new and incredible journey would be underway as I was offered this giant vessel. 

Later on, I discovered this desert-like planet. The temperature was very moderate with only slight toxicity. The fauna populated the whole planet ( I’ll post pictures of some of the species soon ), and while some were friendly, others attacked me on sight. I noticed some species had similar characteristics to animals I had seen in other systems, perhaps an alien race was implementing them on multiple planets for experiments? Either way, my adventure is only just beginning, and I’m excited to share more of it in the future!
