Other Mother Second Chance A.U. Writing ------------------------------------------------ Coraline goes to the grocery store

Seven o'clock, every morning once a weekend, Coraline heads outside. Outside is always different. Either it's the people, it's the buildings, it's the cars, or it's the weather. ... Cloudy, looks like it's going to rain soon. That was the only thing different today. Coraline always crosses the street to go to her favourite grocery store. She even enjoys the workers there, chatting to them like they've been friends since middle school. Nothing was out of the ordinary, the same pattern like the week before. "Hey Cor!" "Hey Carol!" "What'cha up to?" "The usual. You?" "Same thing." Coraline doesn't mind the pattern, even if it's boring. ... Getting her groceries---at least *that's* not the one stuck in the pattern---she heads back home. Rain pours on her, she doesn't mind. Crossing back to the street, another row of people across from her cross the street. Looking over the other side, getting a bit bored, she saw it. There was a woman, almost towering the men, all in black. The hair was faded, with an outfit all black; the only thing is the shirt underneath the trenchcoat. There was something about her...

Something that was... Familiar... Coraline must've seen her before at some point.. But where? She got home, soaked from the rain. Familiar....

Possibly the best art I've seen of a Coraline adaptation. From what the artist mentions, it reminded them of Spirited Away, so they made this rendition of it! It's amazing! I wonder how this would mix with Rovina Cai's illustrative take on the book?

Hmm.... That's a tough one... Well, he's definitely a Facebook and insta person than just a Tumblr person. There's always tension with his Other counterpart, although they do have their bonding moments. He knows about the fourth wall, and can break it whenever he wants to. Most of the time, he doesn't. He does know about The Other World, but he only takes it as an urban legend than a real place. He's acquaintances with The Cat, while the cat and the mice are friends. I think he wants to be more than just a circus ringleader. He's definitely a collector---not a hoarder, just a collector---but what he collects is pretty obscure, he doesn't mention it to anyone but his mice. (Psst! It's actually toys he grew up with!) ... I think that's all I can think of at the moment.

EXTRA!! EXTRA!! NEW CCPAU COMIC DROPPED!! This comic isn't canon, but I wanted to make one since I've thought of many interactions with Coraline and BEL:G.E.-09! So! You get this! Besides, the story relies on comics to tell the story (There's 3 forms of storytelling I've picked out to tell the story! It's weird, I know, but I wanted to get better at those! You'll figure them out in due time!)

The reprise from the comic concept last year (1st image) to the non-canon comic test you'll get soon (2nd image) is immaculate. Seriously, her design has come a long way.
