Another family barbecue, you think. You've been going to alot of these lately. Noisy children, hot sun, cheesy outdoor games. It was the same stuff each year. You sighed to yourself, taking a seat at a picnic table. 

You were parched, and rather hungry at the moment. Your eyes scanned over the table of food, finding nothing to satisfy you at the moment. At the end of the table, something caught your attention. You scooted over as your gaze fell upon a pile of- what? What was that? 

You picked up one of the red spheres, sugar falling off the bottom. You sniffed it and took a lick, tasting only the grease. With a shrug, you took a bite and made a face. A familiar grainy feeling sat on your tongue, melting into your taste buds. It was kool-aid. Deep fried kool-aid. 

"Make that face again and I'll make sure you'll choke," the kool-aid ball spat in a bratty teenaged nasally tone.

You glared at it, dropping it back in the basket and walking off to rinse the cheap taste away with a hose.
