PSA: Stress

Hey guys I would like to warn you about stress. I recently realized how damaging extreme stress can really be, and I was in denial about how stressed I actually was. Stress made me lose chunks of hair and have it thin out considerably, lose 4 pounds, and I actually lost my period for this month because of stress.

So let me be the one to tell you stress is no joke. If you’re feeling stressed because of school, reach out, if you’re stressed because of things at home, tell someone. Do not deal with your stress alone and do not try to minimize it until you physically cannot.

Stress is damaging and I’m here for anyone that needs help dealing with it or dealing with anything.

on the topic of both english & roommates, in jeunguks live the other night he said he was rooming with cory as well so its probably safe to assume they normally room together??? also he understood all the english comments and responded to them in english really well!!

That’s true! I think Jeonguk and all the members really, try their best and tend to do well with English! Thank you for mentioning this!!

I went to the one in Dallas and they’re super nice, everyone except Cory and kisu are quiet until you say something then they’re super talkative! They will understand you and even if they don’t they will try to respond regardless and hold your hand after they’ve signed your album for you~

Hi! This is probably a weird question but I was just wondering what the 24K members usually say at their fansigns? I'm going to the one in NYC and I wanted to know whether I should try to speak to them in Korean, English, or both. So to any 24Us out there that run this blog or follow it that have went to their fansign, what did they say to you all?

Unfortunately, I’ve never been to a 24k fansign so I can’t tell you what to expect or be much help… but as far as speaking goes, it’s up to you, maybe try both! Or use the language you’re most comfortable/confident in? All of the members do have some level of understanding of English! 

If anyone who has been to one of their fansigns has anything to add feel free to reply!

to be honest, those help lines posts never help me because there's never my country. but, I wish it could help others so I always reblog it.

I’m happy to hear you still share them, but there are help hotline chatrooms for people like you, and people who are scared to call or scared their parents will see the number or for people who just feel alone and want to talk to someone, anyone.

i can’t believe there are still people wondering why jonghyun did what he did just because “he’s talented and rich”. guess what, talent and money do not cure depression.

just because your idols may be smiling for the cameras and laughing on broadcasts, earning well and dressing well, does NOT mean they’re okay.

just because your idols don’t talk about their struggles or break down in front of you, does NOT mean they’re okay.

people can portray themselves to be happy and perfectly alright, even if they’re battling their own demons every single day. this is why it is so important to be kind, and to reach out to anyone you think may be having a hard time, or simply talk to your trusted loved ones about your feelings.

i sincerely hope this feels like a slap across the face to people who still think mental illness is a joke, because your seemingly unharmful words can end someone’s life. your insensitive words can end someone’s life.

Mental health is so important and the Korean music industry will just never realize that. Idols may always show happiness to fans, but once they’re by themselves the mask falls apart.

These companies better open their eyes, start treating idols right, and make sure that they are healthy and always doing okay. Because what just happened is certainly not okay.

We all have our own internal battles and demons to face, but we won’t always win. If any of you need someone to talk to or just wants a new friend, please don’t be afraid to dm me.

let’s cut all this “I don’t even stan SHINee”- crap. This is about a real person, not just a kpop idol, dying because of reportedly suicide. I think this is a good time for us to reflect upon not only how the entertainment industry influences idols but also on how depression and suicidal thoughts that come from mental illnesses are real and happening. I want to comfort and wish the best to anyone who’s affected by Jonghyun’s death. May he rest in peace.
