I don't want to take away from the poor families in Texas. This was horrible. But as a dad that has been worrying about mental health and drug abuse right on the school property, I find this email and message disgusting. 19 children and 2 adults dead at an elementary school, and DPS says for 2 weeks they will protect our children. Let me remind you all, Monday morning there was a triple shooting at a homeless shelter a few blocks from my son's elementary school. I have been on 2 news channels and made countless calls. Nothing, 9 days it took them to remove vagrants from across the school, but they left the rest of the camps, including the site of the Monday triple shooting. You politicians cry your crocodile tears and have your moment of fake sympathy. In 2 weeks, it's back to business as usual. God will not be able to help you if this happens to my son. Stop prioritizing sweet words and fake sympathy over the safety of our children. Clean our streets.
