i unironically think that the resurgence of mustache culture has brought about a male slut era that is in many ways still in its infancy but is growing day by day. hemlines are getting shorter, chest hair is growing back, tops are cropped. gone are the dark, dark days when the sluttiest thing a man could do was roll up the sleeves of his button up office shirt. we are returning to the light of mustache rides and teeny tiny swim shorts. amen.

Hi I just have to say thank you so so much for teaching me the term art nouveau today!!!! I really struggle to find words to describe aesthetic elements I like and it makes it impossible to explain other than “I’ll know if I like it when I see it” or to actually seek out things I like rather than happen across them.
Art Nouveau and Gothic Revival are the PINNACLE of human design tbh.
Go look up some of the utterly astounding art nouveau art and architecture out there and enjoy! There's so much utterly beautiful stuff from that aesthetic movement it's SO good. Architecture, art, jewelry, all of it is gorgeous.
If you want a place to start, Alphonse Mucha is a famous Czech Art Nouveau artist and probably one of my favorite artists. I had a poster of his four seasons in my bedroom growing up, and I still have it in my living room today.

Lalique is, in my entirely subjective opinion, the greatest jeweler to ever live
Tumblr media
He also did utterly beautiful astounding glass art
Tumblr media
For architecture, Victor Horta is probably the most famous

Enjoy!

why bother caring about the environment when 1. It’s so obviously a lost cause and 2. There’s definitely going to be a nuclear war?
And what are you doing about it Anon? Learn about ecological restoration or get out of my way.

If tomorrow I won the lottery or some elderly billionare relative died and left me their fortune and I had a massive pile of cash, I would immediately buy a lot someplace more habitable and then build a next level Art Nouveau castle.
I see billionaire mansions or luxury houses and they're all so fucking boring. What's even the point. You have all this money and everything is white and looks like a dentist's office waiting room? The fuck is wrong with you. Install a two story stained glass window. Live a little.

Absolutely insane lines to just drop in the middle of an academic text btw. Feeling so normal about this.
