//Welp, I spent the last two days getting the house into viewing condition. No one has come over to look yet, but I think there’s 2 weeks worth of viewings, so we have to maintain this level of clean for that long.

It shouldn’t be hard, I need to REMEMBER to do it.

So, I haven’t really felt like I’ve had a weekend. And then I decided to make Irish Cream Macrons to take to work Tuesday and... WHY DO AMERICANS HAVE SUCH DUMB NAMES FOR THINGS!

I’ve only made them once before, so I don’t have the instant memory and experience for them as I do with cupcakes and the like (which at this point I can do without a recipe in front of me). I was halfway through and the texture was just all wrong. Then it hit me.

Confectioner’s sugar.

We don’t call it that here in NZ. We have several types of sugar and my brain just jumped to the most logical conclusion of which one it was. I got the wrong one. I used caster sugar instead of icing sugar!

Now I’m going to have to start again after wasting 3 eggs (technically 4 since I’m clumsy AF), 120g of almond flour, and 250g of caster sugar. Plus clean and dry all the equipment before I try again.

My landlord is selling their house behind us and the two set of flats that I live in with it. So, whoever buys their house will be our new landlord. They WANT us to stay there continue being the tenants, but it’s not always guaranteed.

So, when I get home, I’m pretty much going to be spending today and tomorrow cleaning as much as I can to get the house as spotless as possible. The landlords are already advocating for us, telling people that we’re good tenants, but there’s an open house on Sunday and a few days next week,so the house looking as good as possible will hopefully boost that idea.

And I’ve been pretty busy in my craft room lately so that’s ahh... gonna take a bit.

But we literally went through this only this time last year and hunting for a flat is a nightmare! House prices keep rising, so I keep JUST having not enough to get a house of my own.

Pros of shipping with me: I will give our verse a dumb, probably sappy name, I will make random starters and send memes constantly, we will have about 3,572,957 threads, I will talk to you out of character all of the time about our babies, I might write you drabbles and/or make us graphics for/about our characters

Cons of shipping with me: Everything listed above, plus 96% of our stuff is angsty.

Which just makes the companions groan, roll their eyes, and decide to go out for chips, because clearly the Doctors are going to be a while and they don’t want to be a part of this. They all did a good job. They deserve chips. The Doctor doesn’t get any.

The Doctors finally get over themselves and come to some sort of agreement on the best way to fix the problem, only to find the companions sitting down to have tea and the problem already solved.

the temporary moment of pride that they both share over how capable their companions are before they start arguing over which of the companions solved the problem bc ‘well if it was bill then she’s the most capable’ ‘ah, but if it was jack then i win’

Sorry I haven’t really been on lately. My concentration has taken a massive hit and I haven’t been well for a little while. It’s kinda been one thing after the other.

I’ve had a migraine for the last 18 hours and I WANT to write, but I couldn’t even remember the word for ‘flyer’ this morning. And making flyers is a huge part of my job.

Hopefully tomorrow my brian will like me enough to do something. In the meantime, I’ve just been binging Critical Role.

I’ve been realizing that a lot of what I thought was my personality was not only ADHD, but all the precautions I took to hide it. I even do most of it without realizing! Masking ADHD is extremely exhausting and muddying my sense of self. I think it’s important to explore these little things we do, buried so deeply into our subconsciousness that we don’t even realize it anymore.
