10 Filipino words you might not hear yet!
Our language is improving in many ways. In consequence with these improvements, observable changes happen in our language. For example, the original Filipino words are now shortened because people today are now used with its English terms. Also, our language is now influenced with new terms because maybe, the word was forgotten.
Here is a list of some words Filipinos don’t normally use:
1.Duyog (Eclipse)

Use in a sentence: Pinagmasdan namin ang duyog na naganap kaninang umaga.
2. Balintuna (Unbelievable)

Use in a sentence: Balintuna, at maaga na siyang pumapasok sa eskwelahan simula kahapon.
3. Halgambilang (Score)
Definition: To gain (as points or runs in a game) as credit towards one's total number of points (source: Merriam Webster Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Mataas ang halgambilang na nakuha niya sa paligsahang kanyang sinalihan.
4. Tsubibo (Carousel)
Definition: A merry-go-round (source: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/carousel)
Use in a sentence: Masayang sumakay ng tsubibo ang mga bata sa panlibangang parke.
5. Alimuson (Scent)
Definition: The quality of a thing that makes it perceptible to the sense organs in the nose (source: Merriam Webster Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Gusto kong naamoy ang alimuson niya araw-araw.
6. Payneta (Comb)
Definition: A strip of plastic, metal, or wood with a row of narrow teeth, used for untangling or arranging the hair. (source: Google Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Kulay puti ang gamit niyang payneta sa kanyang mahaba at makintab na buhok.
7. Pahimakas (Farewell)
Definition: Given, taken, or performed at parting (source: Merriam Webster Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Ito na ang huling sandali at pahimakas na sa mga masasakit na ala-ala.
8. Kabtol (Switch)
Definition: A device for making and breaking the connection in an electric circuit. (source: Google Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Nasira ang kabtol ng bumbilya kaya naman papalitan ito mamaya.
9. Pantablay (Charger)
Definition: A device for charging a battery or battery-powered equipment. (source: Google Dictionary)
Use in a sentence: Naiwan ko sa bahay ang pantablay ng cellphone ko kaya pahiram muna ng sa iyo.
10. Salongganisa (Brief underwear)
