three images that represent me

1. Artstation website - this is my portfolio. It shows mainly my artworks/illustrations. I draw in anime style. I’m a little shy with showing these to people in person.

2. Sketch - this shows the style I draw in when sketching analog/on paper. My favourite colour is red and I use it a lot. Whenever I try a new art product out I usually buy it in red to try it out and compare it to my other (red) art supplies. This sketch shows an original character of mine.

3. Artwork - this is a digital painting of mine. My main medium is digital illustration, I am far more comfortable painting digitally. This piece shows the same character as before, floating in the sky.

First class activity

We were asked to write down our pepeha on post-it notes - on each we write down three facts about our personal history. 

- I was born in NZ but my ethnicity is Chinese. Specific area of China is South China, Canton/Guangzhou

- In my family home, we speak both English and Cantonese. Though it’s mainly English. We speak Cantonese with our mother.

- I was born 31/7/1998.

- I’m the youngest of three children. My brother is eight years older than me, and my sister is six years older than me.

- I have relatives who live in China (my mum’s side of the family), and Australia (aunt, uncle, and their children/my cousins).

- I’ve been interested in art and creative stuff since I was in kindergarten. So long ago now!

- I like listening to music pretty much at all times.

- One of my current fascinations is with scenery, cityscapes, landscapes, etc.
