1.

Currently, for the project I have decide to make an intranet web for a company knowledge base system. So far, I have designed the requirements for the knowledge base system. The knowledge base will have a customer relationship management, invoicing, contact form, service page, and landing page. Since this an intranet web knowledge base I have to make sure this knowledge base isn’t accessible for people that aren’t apart of the company, so this website will not be search engine optimized (searchable on the internet) workers will have to be connected on the company wifi or connected to the company pride VPN. Actively I’m going through wordpress theme that will best suit this project for the landing page of the site. The themes I’m currently checking out is Divi Builder and themes on themeforest. The theme requirements are to be optimize for multiplatform access (cellphones, tablets, and etc.), well documented, css customizable, browser compatible (IE11, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, Edge, etc.), compatible with bbPreess, WooCommerce, WPBaker Page Builder, high resolution, widget ready, recently updated, high rating, and comes PHP Files, CSS Files, and JS Files. A website that holding information needs to be secure so currently I’m researching ways to make sure this wordpress intranet web portal safe.

For this project to be done I have to make strict group policies that will not allow users from different to be able to see and access information for other groups. I have to test using mtilple testing applications and install a wfa to make sure the site stays secure and alert when the website has been breached.

HW2case

This case is from personal experience. When I worked in a warehouse, I had to pull orders and at the end of the shift I had to have a certain amount of cases that I pulled from the selves. At the end of the shift I had to pull 800 cases. I was only given orders that would have only 1 - 5 cases and others would have orders where there were 100 -150 cases, which I felt like it wasn’t fair at all because while I was there those 5 months, I only was given that amount once. So, my manger cut my hours and threaten to fire me f I couldn’t meet the goal.

Important Facts

·        Other workers where given orders with over 100 cases

·        A new worker started and was given bigger orders than I was gave

·        The other workers were full time and I was from a temp agency

·        I asked if I could get more cases I was told I get what I get

·        I spoke with HR and they didn’t do anything

·        After I spoke with HR my hours got cut

·        All of the workers from the temp agency got fired

·        Other workers felt like temp workers was discriminated against

Did you speak with your representative from the temp agency?

How many other workers where there from the temp agency?

How long were the other workers working there?

 Without proper computer security someone could disrupt our day to day job functions with a denial of service attack.

·        I’ve been researching tools that I can use to make a WordPress website without having to pay for WordPress Hosting.

·        I’m currently working on determine what is the purpose of my website. I know for certain this will not be a website for selling products.

·        This week I will be working on making a sitemap and list of requirements for my website.

·       A Paper – I’m a pretty decent writer so why not write a paper for my project? A minus is I don’t like writing a lot of long papers 😐

·       Web Site – I’m a freelance web designer this will be very easy for me to do and also, I like designing websites. It would take me a couple of days to make a website.

·       Video – Making animated video would be very easy and creative. May take longer to complete.

·       Prezi – Prezi would be a very easy to make and it’s quick. I’ve never made a prezi before.

·       Rap – This seems like a very fun tasks to do for a project. Why not showcase the good bars that I have? The only minus is I’m a terrible rapper.

·       Interview – I mean I am a professional or am? Hmm……. This would be a good opportunity to really get into the understanding of the project from someone that works in the field of my project topic. The only minus is finding someone who would be willing to get interviewed.

·       Story – I love writing poetry. I could totally make short poem. There’s no minus for this idea.

·       Poll – Instead of interview people of could make a poll on twitter. The only minus is getting people to participate.

·       Analytics Research – I think this would be very cool to do and it goes into what my major purpose. The only minus is this will be some hard work lol.

·       An individual I will say is better, because it allows each individual to showcase their full work. I’m in favor of individual project because I never had a got experience working in groups.

·       I’m not in favor of a group project, because I feel like it doesn’t fully showcase each individual full effort they put into the project because of time.
