Summery Hues: Get Summer Ready!!
With summer around the corner, it is important to plan for it as soon as possible. We are spoilt with a wide variety of patterns, attire, and embroidery to chose from with an assortment of colors that go along with this season. Warmer weather means it's time to turn to clothes that make you feel cooler, and in terms of cooler colors, it's time to start passing on black and navy.
With an expanding palette of summer hues, it's time to lighten up your closet. We offer you the must-have color of summer to flaunt this season.
Pink:
Pink is thought to be a calming color associated with love, kindness, and femininity. Any dress with a hint of vivid pink is a must-have this season and select earthier, more washed-out pinks than neon pinks for a more relaxed look.

Yellow:
Like subdued mustard, the color yellow fits better toned-down or if you choose to go for a lighter hue, go for shades of lemon yellow and dry canary offering yellow again its moment in the spotlight.

Peach:
For people who like to go for pastel and light colors, the best alternative for them is the peach. The color accentuates the hue of your Indian skin and looks so stylish.

Green:
For everything from white and navy to yellow and pink, Green matches well. And it's a lot smoother to slide into your closet because it's not as loud or as conventionally gendered as other tones, though the varieties of the color green can vary.

Nudes or Neutrals:
For those not able to become bright, neutrals are a good substitute. Nude shades include beige, stone, white and pale grey, which still offer a solid, outstanding quality to your outfit.

Maroon:
They bring charm, sophistication, and contrast well with the summer colors, whether it's maroon or other hues of red.

Orange:
The punchy orange has resurfaced this season. When clients want to be noticed and stand out in a crowd or on Instagram, unusual highlighter colors such as orange continue to trend. Choose yellow or light orange in the citrus shade.

Blue:
Since blue is a high-impact color, no complicated styling calculations are needed. For spring and summer, blue can raise looks without too much shaking the boat.

Bridal Wedding Collection
The outfit that the bride wears at a marriage is a bridal, wedding dress. The faith and culture of the wedding participants depend on the color, style, and meaning of the fabric. Wedding robes are mostly white in Western cultures and Queen Victoria made them famous during a marriage in 1840. In India, however, the bride wears the region-specific wedding sari or lehenga. Red is considered Hindus' most desirable color.
Ever since COVID-19 modern wedding formats have been adopted by Indian couples and families. Hygiene and protection are the highlights of the year and many families have taken on new concepts in order to safely execute the wedding celebration.
Bridal wear today is about luxury, taking the trend in fashion into account. The top bridal trend for the 2021 wedding season is all about focusing on personal style and versatility. From pearls and crystal-encrusted wedding wear to bold and playful prints, this year is all about cool tones and classy laces, all-over embellishments of crystals, and semi-precious stones adorned with classy embroidery to semi-sheer styles.
Choose pastels such as soft pink, lilac, mint, and champagne shades or violet, dull orange, ochre, and emerald green colors which look lovely when combined with contrasts. One can also opt for a hint of red in their wedding outfit. Designs that are unique with a lot of layering and a blend of new techniques and color combinations are in this wedding season.

Velvet
Velvet is a type of woven-tufted fabric with a short, dense pile in which the cut threads are evenly distributed, giving it a distinctive soft feel. Velvet can be made from a variety of fabrics, of which silk is traditionally the most expensive. Almost all of the velvet sold as "silk velvet" today is simply a blend of rayon and silk. To produce silk, cotton is often used, but this also results in a less luxurious fabric. Velvet can also be made from fibers such as linen, mohair, and wool
Types of Velvet:
Chiffon (or transparent) velvet: on a sheer silk or rayon chiffon base, a very lightweight velvet
Crushed: lustrous patterned velvet that is created either by pressing the fabric down in different directions or by twisting the fabric mechanically when wet.
Devoré or burnout: a velvet treated to dissolve areas of the pile with a caustic solution, forming a velvet pattern on a pure or lightweight base fabric
Embossed: velvet on which the fabric has been heat-stamped with a metal roller, creating a pattern
Hammered: with a crushed and dappled look, an exceptionally lustrous velvet
Lyons: a close-knit, rigid, heavier velvet pile used for hats, coat collars, and garments
Mirror: a type of incredibly soft and light crushed velvet
Nacré: velvet with a shot-like silk effect where the pile is woven in one or more colors and the base fabric is woven in another, creating a moving, iridescent effect
Panne: a type of crushed velvet created by the application of heavy pressure by pressing the pile in a single direction. Also known as called paon velvet
Pile-on-pile also called double velvet: to build a pattern, it is an especially luxurious type of velvet woven with piles of different heights. It is one of the oldest techniques of velvet weaving known.
Plain: velvet, generally made of cotton, with a strong hand
Ponson: a quite thick and very costly velvet made entirely of silk or with a pile of silk only, used at one stage for dresses and cloaks for women
Utrecht: a velvet synonymous with Utrecht, the Netherlands, pressed and crimped
Velveteen: a type of velvet imitation. It is usually made of cotton or a mixture of silk and cotton
Voided: intentionally woven velvet with areas of pile-free (usually satin) ground that forms a pattern
A wedding ring or ring velvet: another word for allegedly fine enough devoré and/or chiffon velvets to be drawn through a wedding ring

Use of Tassels in the fashion world: the introduction of tassels has opened up a small and growing industry. Adding a tassel to a simple outfit glams the overall look of the dress.
Various types of tassels:
Thread Tassels: using thinner fibers, such as silk or cotton embroidery floss, for smaller tassels. Embroidery floss can look relaxed or sophisticated depending on where the tassel is being used. One can also make use of the silk thread to give the tassel a royal look.
Mirror work Tassels: it is made of intricate embroidery decorating the work of the mirror.
Stone Work Tassels: these are made of beautiful stonework.
Pearl work Tassels: Tiny white beads, pearl-like ball particles uniformly distributed and suspended from a larger bead with a golden string.

Khadi or Khaddar is hand-woven, natural fiber fabric made mostly from cotton from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
Typically, the fabric is woven from cotton and may also include silk or wool, both of which are spun on a spinning wheel called a charkha into yarn. This fabric is flexible, warm in winter, and cool in summer. Khadi/ khaddar is always starched to improve the look, to give it a stiffer feel. Imagine a cloth 15 meters long but just 10gms in the weight that can only pass through an ordinary finger ring. This is the handspun, popularly known as khadi muslin wonder.
Khadi is also referred to as khaddar, is an Indian traditional cloth, and is more associated with a sense of patriotism. The fabric is currently gaining a worldwide spotlight. Khadi is a fabric that brings among Indians a sense of unity, nationalism, and simplicity. This fabric is also a symbol of the Indian handloom industry, closely connected with Mahatma Gandhi and the rebellion of liberty. In the later years, khadi cloth, an exclusive outfit synonymous with the Swadeshi revolutionists, underwent a fashion transformation.
Generally, khadi fabrics are hand spun and handwoven. But they differ in such a way that handloom fabrics are entirely handmade, whereas handloom fabrics are manufactured in mills. With a spinning wheel known as the charkha, yarns of khadi fabric are spun.
Khadi fabrics are predominantly made from woolen thread, cotton, and silk on a handle and are handspun. Initially, people who favored luxurious and soft fabrics did not mainly favor coarse and rough fabrics. But with the new wake of an environmentally friendly lifestyle, it is not enough for even an expanded number of employees participating in the spinning process to meet demand.Khadi fabrics have altered many things with more technical developments in fabric manufacturing and increased demand for customers both in India and abroad. To make Matka Khadi, Poly khadi, Tussar silk, and many other types, they are blended with other fabrics including silk and polyester. A dramatic change in the colors of the fabric was also brought on by fashion.
Khaddar stuff is both very warm and soothing during winter. Some people who have issues with allergies are unable to use other heavy items, so they choose to wear khaddar in the winter. Since winters in some cities of Pakistan are cold and chilly, Khaddar and Linen is the preferred fabric used for Pakistani winter fall dresses for women. Similarly, people tend to wear dark colors during the winter season, because dark colors reflect the cold season.
Maria. B, Crimson, Adan Libas, Gul Ahmed, Akbar Aslam, and many more are top Pakistani designer labels that work with khaddar fabric.âŠ

Dussehra - also known as Vijayadashami
Dussehra meaning: Vijayadashami, generally known as Dussehra, is one of the widely held festivals at the end of Navratri in India.
Going by the Hindu calendar this day falls in the Ashwin month, according to the English calendar are the September and October months.
For what reason is Dussehra celebrated?
In Hinduism, Dussehra, also called Vijayadashami, a holiday marking the victory of Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu, over the ten-headed demon king Ravana, who kidnapped Rama's wife Sita.
The name of the festival comes from the Sanskrit words Dasha ("ten"), and Hara ("defeat"). Dussehra coincides with the culmination of the nine-day Navratri festival.
Vijayadashami celebrations involve processions to a river or oceanfront involving the transportation of clay statues of Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha, and Kartikeya, accompanied by music and chants, after which the figures are submerged in the water for dissolution and farewell. Apart from that, on Dasara, Ravan's towering effigies, symbolizing evil, are burned with fireworks, signaling the destruction of evil.
The festival also begins preparations for Diwali, the important lights festival held 20 days after Vijayadashami.
With great fervor and fanfare, Dussehra, mainly a North Indian festival is celebrated. It includes Ram Lila, a dramatic gala performance of the story of Rama's creation.
Effigies of Ravanaâoften along with those of Meghnada (Ravanaâs son) and Kumbhkarana (Ravanaâs brother)âare stuffed with firecrackers and set ablaze at night in open fields.
This year Dussehra falls on Sunday, 25 October.

Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr sometimes also known as Eid ul-Fitr, also called the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
History of Eid-al-Fitr dates back to the Islamic era of prophet Muhammed. When the Prophet arrived in Medina he found people celebrating two specific days in which they entertained themselves with recreation and merriment. At this, the Prophet remarked that Almighty has fixed two days of festivity Eid al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha.
Traditionally, Eid al-Fitr begins at sunset on the night of the first sighting of the crescent moon. If the moon is not observed immediately after the 29th day of the previous lunar month (either because clouds block its view or because the western sky is still too bright when the moon sets), then the holiday is celebrated the following day. The Eid prayer is performed in congregation in open areas like fields, community centers, or mosques. But with the ongoing coronavirus lockdown restrictions, it is requested to perform prayers at your respective home. The Eid prayer is followed by the sermon and then a supplication asking for Allah's forgiveness, mercy, peace, and blessings for all living beings across the world. The sermon also instructs Muslims as to the performance of rituals of Eid, such as the zakat. As ritual dictates, Muslims praise Allah in a loud voice while going to the Eid prayer: AllÄhu Akbar, AllÄhu Akbar, AllÄhu Akbar. LÄ ilÄha illĂ l-LÄh wal-LÄhu Akbar, Allahu Akbar walil-LÄhi l-áž„amd. Recitation ceases when they get to the place of Eid or once the Imam commences activities.
Eid-al-Fitr is practiced differently by various countries worldwide. People in middle-east countries like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan decorate their homes and prepare sumptuous meals for family and friends.
African countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan spend the first day of Eid al-Fitr to gather all family members and celebrate the Eid at public gardens. For the next 3 days, families will then visit each other, extended family, neighbors, and close friends. In these short visits, the baked goods, chocolates, and sweets are served, and often large lunches are prepared for the visiting well-wishers. Children are given gifts, either in the form of toys or money.
In Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, and China markets and shopping malls become overwhelmed with people. Those who live away from their families for their job or livelihood, return to their home towns and villages to celebrate the festival with family members and relatives. In the Chaand Raat children gather at the open field to see the Hilal (crescent moon) of the month of Shawwal. Girls decorate their hands with mehendi. Eid is mainly enjoyed by the kids, as they mostly receive money in cash called Eidi(gift) as a gift from their relatives and elders. Special celebratory dishes in India include Lachcha or sewaiyan, a dish of fine, toasted sweet vermicilli noodles with milk, and dried fruit (known as Sheer khurma).
Countries like Europe & United States Eid al-Fitr is not a recognized public holiday but many schools, businesses, and organizations allow for at least a day's leave to be taken for religious celebrations.
Although the date of Eid al-Fitr is always the same in the Islamic calendar, the date in the Gregorian calendar falls approximately 11 days earlier each successive year.
With the ongoing coronavirus lockdown restrictions, here's how you can celebrate Eid-al-Fitr at home amid lockdown:
Apply basics henna designs to yourself and your loved ones, so what if this year you couldnât hire the best henna artist, channel your inner artist and brighten up the spirits of Eid
Organize your own virtual Eid family get together on a video call
The Indian Government and most leading Islamic organizations across the world have directed people to pray at home and not congregate at mosques. Stay home stay safe is the norm to be followed to ensure the safety of you and your loved ones
Ramadan is all about charity (zakat), donate rations, clothes, toys, food, and more to those around you who seem like they are in need. Always remember sharing is caring.
And last but not the least dress up and binge on your favorite bowl of Sheer khurma
Happy Eid-al-Fitr - from the team of The Fashion Station
