Zampano
This piece was made as a memorial to honor a dearly loved German shepherd. He’s a little over 7 inches long and contains some of the ashes from his namesake’s cremation, as well as a magnet to let him play with miniature versions of his favorite toys. I’m always honored to work on these kinds of projects, and am really proud of how he came out!
This was a commissioned piece and is not for sale, but my next convention is Anthro New England, January 19-21 and I’ll have lots of felted friends available there!

"On Thursday, August 24, Blendon Township Police murdered 21-year-old Ta’Kiya Young, a pregnant, Black mother of two. The state is conveniently leaving her family and community in the dark. One thing is clear: this is a state-sanctioned execution where the police officer appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner. Alleged petty theft (with no evidence presented) does not justify shooting someone point-blank and murdering them as they attempt to flee. The officers involved get paid administrative leave while two children are without their mother and would-be sibling. This criminalization and dehumanization of Black folks just trying to survive must end." "Ta’Kiya was a daughter. She was a mother. She was a person. She should still be here. Ta’Kiya deserved, at least, what we all deserve: due process, safety, and life. The community demands justice for Ta’Kiya Young!" via JUST

I didn't find any info on this, so just wanted to put it out there-- with no apparent issues, I got through the prologue of Restoration Queen (full .gba rom) on original GBA hardware with Everdrive x5 mini. I probably won't get a chance to test the whole game (I hope I do!) but regardless definitely want it in my collection after reading about it. (Who Are You?: Nintendo's Game Boy Advance Platform by Alex Custodio)
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones: Restoration Queen DOWNLOAD v1.1: full .gba rom / smaller .ups patch
What is this?
Restoration Queen is a Fire Emblem 8 script edit focused on bringing Eirika and other female characters to the forefront of the story. We have reworked much of the main script and many of the support conversations in order to create a game that allows Eirika’s story to be fully realized in a way that the original game never did. We’ve also tweaked a few other small aspects of the game. In many ways, they are the sorts of changes that we hope you won’t even notice, but will simply enjoy as you play.
At its core, Restoration Queen is a way to re-experience Sacred Stones in a more actively female (and queer) positive manner.
What’s changed?
The script of Eirika’s route, the content of many supports, and some of the solo and paired endings of the characters. All possible female/female supports now have paired endings, with some explicitly romantic! We also added in a few other paired endings, but we won’t spoil the fun of a good surprise by telling you what they are*. Please play Restoration Queen by following Eirika when the twins split up to get the best experience.
EDIT: 3 ½ years later, we’ve finally released the Support Log! If you want to read all the supports, or just poke your head in and see what the pairing options are, go ahead:
Restoration Queen Support Logs
Please note that there is one known big bug. Sometimes, during fade-in transitions, the background looks glitchy. We don’t know how to fix it. But, it only shows up a few times during gameplay, it doesn’t last very long, and it doesn’t break the game. It should be alright!
Why?
We (Liz and Glitz) love Sacred Stones, but we don’t love a lot of the sexist writing and content that went into its making. In particular, Eirika was our inspiration, as we felt she was short-handed by her route. We didn’t want to change the heart of the plot or the characters; they’re what we fell in love with in the first place. But we saw a lot of room for improvement, and chased it.
How can I play this?
Download an emulator! Liz recommends Visual Boy Advance for Windows and GBA4iOS for iOS. One of our demo users suggested for OpenEmu for Macs. We haven’t tested it ourselves, but it looks good!
Then, either directly download the Restoration Queen .gba rom, or download the .ups patch (a much smaller file) and use Nintenlord’s UPS tool to apply it to an unaltered FE8 .gba rom (cough use the alternate download link cough). Open the .gba file in your emulator of choice and you should be all set to play FE8: Restoration Queen!
Please note that if you played the demo version of RQ, you can use your demo save file if you rename it to the same name as the .gba file. :)
Anything else?
We encourage you to make text posts and post screenshots to the tag #Restoration Queen! We’d love to hear your feedback!
Check #Restoration Queen on lizzledpink’s tumblr for official posts and announcements about RQ, such as bug fixes and new versions! Check #Restoration Queen on glitteringworlds’ tumblr for all the fun updates - if RQ gets a lot of attention, we may post the full transcripts for all the supports, or other goodies!

When it comes to pronouns, I am not picky. You will not get them wrong or cause distress by getting them "wrong". But if you've ever wanted more details on what I feel personally about specific gendered terms, this website has made building a reference more convenient.
I only ask you make an attempt to read the room and don't intentionally out me to a phobe. In LGBTQ+ friendly spaces I would accept and enjoy trying weird, obscure, less normative neopronouns... but would be reluctant to appreciate this in a vulnerable highly normative situation such as a customer-facing workplace, for example.

A year ago in April 22, I got my own bilateral salpingectomy :) See the entire comic: Bilateral Salpingectomy by Rosalarian is just a few pages longer, but here's the most info-packed panels.
This was a relatively simple procedure for an outpatient surgery, but a vasectomy is way easier! If you have a penis, no need for any/more kids, and have partners who could possibly get pregnant, please consider getting yourself fixed to protect them from an unwanted pregnancy! More people with penises taking responsibility for birth control can have an incredibly positive impact in these troubled times.
I was lucky to be covered by insurance so I don't know the value of my own salpingectomy. According to some comments and the full-length comic, you can expect the cost in dollars to be like $22,000. Vasectomies on the other hand, I have heard anecdotes for as little as $750 out of pocket.

Help the family of Sinzae Reed
Sin'Zae Reed, 13, was fatally shot Oct. 12 at the Wedgewood Apartments complex in #Columbus Hilltop neighborhood. His sister, 20-year-old Makayla Nichols, and other family members said Sinzae was a good kid and want justice for him from authorities. 36-year-old Krieg Butler, a resident of the complex, fatally shot Reed.
Megan Reed, Sin'Zae's mother, said her son will now always be a 13-year-old teenage boy that she can longer hold or hear him speak. In his obituary, family members remembered Reed, who went by 'Zay,' as a boy who loved music, video games and spending time with his friends. Reed attended KIPP Columbus, a charter school on the Northeast Side.
According to court records, an eyewitness saw Butler exit a red truck and fire multiple times at Reed. Butler then got back in the truck and fled the scene. Butler was initially charged with Reed's homicide and ordered held on $1 million bond, but prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss the case after Butler's arrest; Homicide charges were dropped pending further police investigation into Butler's claim of self-defense in the shooting.
"All I'm asking for is justice for my baby — is that too much to give?" Reed said. "I will never stop until Sin'Zae gets justice, I will forever be his voice."
Reed and others at the press conference called for the immediate re-arrest of Butler. Ramon Obey II, president of JUST 614 and event organizer, said he was calling on members of the community to pressure the Franklin County Prosecutor's office to take action.
Obey called Sunday for four points of action from criminal justice officials: that Butler be immediately re-arrested and charged with murder, that Franklin County Prosecutor Gary Tyack resign from his position, an apology from the city of Columbus to Reed's family and a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into the shooting.
Dejuan Sharp, a member of the Columbus Downtownerz who has been advocating for Reed's family, said the criminal justice system was incapable of delivering justice to the family.
Obey said that community activists planned several events to continue to try and pressure the justice system into action against Butler. On Thursday, they plan to travel to Tyack's office and deliver a letter saying they want the removal of the member of his office responsible for dismissing the criminal charges against Butler. Next Saturday, a protest at noon at the Ohio Statehouse, where they plan to march for not just Reed, but also Donovan Lewis and Casey Goodson, who were both shot and killed by police officers in Franklin County.
On Jan. 9, Obey said he and others plan to attend Columbus City Council's next regular meeting and ask every member of council to sign a letter saying they support the immediate arrest of Butler and removal of Franklin County prosecutor personnel.

We already stood on the statehouse steps protesting the heartbeat bills. It’s clear massive protests are not enough to protect us. Today we stand against the Supreme Court, which would strike down Roe v. Wade. They are ready to rule early this summer.
This upcoming ruling only the latest blow in an onslaught against the people. Women and trans-people fear unwanted pregnancy, medical peril, and a lifetime obligation of unpaid and underappreciated domestic work that we didn’t ask for.
The scope of these attacks on our freedoms are broad. When right-wing takes aim at reproductive health, family planning organizations and their funding… we are in danger of losing access to needed care that is only tangentially related to pregnancy, such as cancer screenings.
Under Democratic power, the right-wing is now so close to ending our legal right to choose. Joe Biden make an unfulfilled campaign promise to codify Roe v. Wade. but as president, but he did not give his support to ending the filibuster to allow Democrats to vote to legalize abortion. Democrats have so far failed to protect abortion through legalistic means.
If the Supreme Court ends Roe, the consequences are serious. It would be the biggest victory for the right-wing in a generation. They will next attack access to contraception, gender affirming healthcare, marriage equality, and more.
We can’t wait for Democrats to fix this. Democrats, just like Republicans, prioritize the stability and profitability of the capitalist system. Our state establishments have made the wrong decisions on abortion, on gay marriage, on desegregation – until mass movements of working people forced the ruling class to concede.
Worldwide, we are at a crucial time for the fight for reproductive rights. Mexico, Poland and Argentina have won struggles against attacks on their abortion rights. We must follow their example and build pressure to stop the ruling.
Let us take the fight to our communities and workplaces. Let’s escalate our struggle with walkouts, occupations, and strikes. We can begin by holding public organizing meetings to put together these plans.
Unionization campaigns at Starbucks and Amazon are mobilizing mass struggle and class consciousness. Unions have a vested interest in fighting for the health care of their members. It benefits them for us to win full legal abortion. We need these unions to join us and organize their members to take action in defense of abortion.
With our allies and momentum, we will not merely defend Roe vs Wade. But also demand Medicare for All with full reproductive and gender affirming care.
DEMANDS
To defend and expand our reproductive freedoms, we must go on the offense with strong demands.
The Supreme Court uphold Roe v. Wade!
We must organize walkouts and strikes to defend abortion
Democrats should immediately end the filibuster, legalize and codify abortion!
Congress must pass Medicare for All with abortion on demand, full reproductive and gender-affirming care for all!
We must unite and struggle against all gender and sexist oppression!
We must end the two party system with an independent working-class party and commit to defending the interests of working-class women, queer and trans people, and people of color.
thanks: JUST & other socialist organizations in collaboration at the Statehouse & Ohio Supreme Court

Rae Fitzanynouns (SA) at Our Revolution rally in Columbus, Ohio
Saturday, August 28th 2021 | Video on YT: Rae@OurRevRally
thank you: all the great speakers and organizers of this event, organizers Our Revolution Central Ohio & Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio (UUJO), mentorship by comrades in Columbus SA, and my good friend who provided transport
Hello everyone, my name is Rae and I’m a member of Socialist Alternative - we’re an organization that fights against all exploitation and oppression.
In 2021, the struggles of the LGBTQ community are not over-- this year, transgender people across the country face the largest wave of anti-trans bills since the 2016 "bathroom bills,” along with increased violence against trans youth.
Marriage equality, Biden's overturning of the military ban, and Kasich’s executive order banning employment discrimination based on sexual orientation, expanding medical options for queer care, are things that were only won through the power of the LGBTQ movement. But they are not enough. The variety of rainbow accessories and Pride symbols we often see today (i'm wearing some right now) bring hope to LGBTQ who have not been able to take for granted a safe place in our society… but these small reforms and symbolic acts only go so far. If we see the fight to win LGBTQ liberation as complete, we risk ignoring the real danger and oppression that LGBTQ youth face today under our profit-driven system.
Although Columbus prides itself on being inclusive, we know that our corporate-funded Pride doesn’t represent everybody. Polysexualities (as in people who are attracted to more than one gender), intersex, and gender non-conforming people, non-couple relationships, often do not fit into the corporatized image of Pride. Queer, working class people who can’t afford to live in the Short North or our other rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods don’t fit. Couples which more closely resemble familiar gender & family roles are upheld as signifiers of tolerance-- progress on inclusion is not an empty gesture, but it is also not yet good enough! No pride for some without liberation for all!
Real liberation for the LGBTQ community, means fighting for equality through material means, like providing affordable housing, trans-inclusive medicare for all, and workers’ rights.
LGBTQ youth are at high risk of being rejected by their families, especially at a time when more adult age children must live with parents due to lack of economic opportunities and the pandemic. Private charities like the Salvation Army, which discriminate against LGBTQ youth, offer no real solutions. We need to tax the rich and fund permanently affordable social housing!
Ohio is an "at will employment" state. LGBTQ youth may not get fired for their identity, but any means may be used as a substitute-- if they missed a spot mopping that day. We must continue our struggle against corporations who would gladly sell us a rainbow tank-top but then use private power and arbitrary means to trap us in poverty and dispair. But the walkouts against sexism at Google and McDonalds in 2018 show us we can fight back against discrimination in the workplace! We must build a strong labor movement and call on unions to fight in solidarity with LGBTQ communities who are more vulnerable to low-paid and abusive positions, and provide good jobs for all!
Police are paid too much to harass and brutalize people based on stereotypes which disproportionately affect LGBTQ people, especially trans women of color. We need to cut our bloated police budget by half, tax the rich, and fund affordable housing, living-wage green jobs, and free, gender-inclusive healthcare!
To win all of this we need to build a united, working-class movement that can fight homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of oppression and exploitation! A movement that isn’t afraid to stage more walkouts at workplaces, or organize rallies and strikes. And to win lasting change we need to challenge the profit-driven system of capitalism itself, and fight for a socialist alternative!

Who is Henry Green?
Henry Green was shot in 2016. He was a 23 year old black man. If Henry Green were still alive today, we wouldn't know his name.
In the year 2016, I knew the name Henry Green. But I literally knew nothing else about him. I'd see this name in my city and I'd ask anyone I was with: Who is Henry Green? but nobody I asked, knew.
I saw the racism in statistics on police brutality, but I didn't know a curiosity about the name of Henry Green would become a troubling realization: Henry Green is dead, and his name is there *because* he was murdered by CPD. For 4 years, his story did not reach me: but his name did.
Until the death of George Floyd, no one I asked understood why Henry Green was painted on the city. He was not on the first page of Google results. And I'm so sorry for our collective ignorance.
Officers Rosen and Bare were involved; Henry Green's loved ones testify cops did not even identify themselves as cops during the shooting. Like Casey, he was shot in Linden.
So, there is not a lot of accessible information about Henry Green. Most of the articles about him do not even include his picture, they contain more information about the shooting & the legal proceeding. The internet does not describe him as a person living a life, it describes him as a man who has died. This might be the difference 4 years makes in the amount of social media and selfies available of the dead, but I think it says something about our ignorance, too.
I am sad to report, I didn’t learn much from my attempt to research on Henry Green. So I ask you to add to the volume of this question-- who was Henry Green? And how can we get justice for him?
