My thoughts on Yang Cheng is that he was just a kid, an emotionally volatile kid, who had been born into a system which told him his only value was what other people made of him and not single person cared. His one wish was to meet his hero, and maybe to be just like him, and Rock saw that, and chose to twist it into exactly what he wanted. And then put Yang Cheng into a situation where the only person who could ever love him was him, where it doesn’t matter if he even finds out that Rock killed his friend, orchestrated everything because who else does he have? All those bridges have been burned to the ground.

Rock pretended to be that missing parental figure, pretended to be that one person who would give everything for him, pretended to be the only thing Yang Cheng needed, and then made him think it was all his choice to kill his hero.

And the thing is? So much of it was a gamble he manufactured the new E-Soul with no guarantee in the slightest it would go the way he wanted. It was probably a game to him, sure it would be great to win entirely but part of it was just a vengeance against og E-Soul. To take one of his most devoted fans and shatter him.

Anyways liking Yang Cheng is like going yeah he did do all that buttttttttt

I have come to the conclusion that people who are anti-Targaryen aren’t really anti-Targaryen. It boils down to hating Dany. 

You guys don’t hate House Targaryen. Even when you’re writing incredibly idiotic meta about how the Targaryens are uniquely imperialist in nature or somehow the inventors of feudalism, you still romanticize the Targaryens as much as you romanticize the other Houses. 

You hate the Targaryens but you: 

Compare [insert ship here] to Jaeherys I and Alysanne, or Aemon and Naerys, or Duncan Targaryen and Jenny of Oldstones

Compare [insert ASOIAF woman you love here] to Rhaenys & Visenya, to Rhaenyra, to Naerys, to Daenys, to Alysanne, to Baela, to Rhaena, to Shiera Seastar

Want Aegon VI Targaryen to be Rhaegar and Elia’s true child and to reclaim the Throne

Want Aegon VI Targaryen to marry: Arianne, or Shireen, or Sansa, or Myrcella, or Margaery, and you want this “glorious political couple” to “win against Dany” 

Make edits and AU’s of Rhaenys (daughter of Rhaegar and Elia) “replacing” Daenerys in her storyline

You, who hate Dany, talk about how precious Rhaella and her bonds with her grandchildren would have been, far more than you talk about Rhaella’s potential love for her own daughter

You categorize Rhaella in with the rest of the traditionally feminine women you romanticize for “always doing their duty” (Catelyn, Sansa, Elia, Joanna, etc) 

You use Rhaella like that in spite of viciously hating her only daughter, her youngest and only surviving child, a girl she would have loved more than anything in the world. You refuse to acknowledge that Rhaella’s blood runs through Dany’s veins as much as Aerys II’s does. You discount Rhaella’s parentage over Daenerys and ascribe all of her qualities entirely to Aerys II. 

You want your favorite to be a dragon rider, or to hatch a dragon, or to steal one of Dany’s dragons. 

You want your three faves that do not include Daenerys to be the three heads of the dragon, and you make AU’s of that.

You make theories about [x character] being a secret Targaryen and even theories of Dany not really being the daughter of Aerys II and Rhaella. 

You claim Jon Snow as a Targaryen and prioritize his Targaryen heritage when it comes to not wanting Dany to win the game of thrones or be Azor Ahai, for wanting her to go mad queen.

You make AU’s of Aegon VI, Rhaenys, and Jon being the three heads of the dragon.

You use quotes by Targaryens such as Aemon for your gifsets and edits. 

You use quotes about Targaryens for your gifsets and edits.

You use quotes by Daenerys, about Daenerys, for your gifsets and edits.

You make AU’, gifsets, or edits in which [insert ASOIAF character here] gets Dany’s dragons, her people, her friends or love interests, her armies, various aspects of her plot, her prophecies, and more. 

You loved Fire & Blood and are eagerly awaiting the next volume.

You’ve read all the Targaryen supplemental novels.

You love the historical Targaryens. You love their plots and their characteristics. You love reading about them, analyzing them, creating gifs and edits of them, writing detailed meta about them, arguing over them, and more. 

You love comparing your ASOIAF favorites to historical Targaryens. 

You love Targaryen loyalists such as Jon Connington or Targaryen supporters such as House Martell. 

You have Targaryen-related URL’s and blogs/icons/wallpaper

So you don’t really hate the Targaryens. You don’t really think they’re colonizers (for the most part). Even the staunchest “haters” who think the Targaryens invented colonialism or are white supremacists (lol) will still do a combination of the above that I listed. 

You only hate the Targaryens when it conveniently suits your anti-Dany agenda. Or, rather: you hate the Targaryens insofar as Daenerys is the ultimate embodiment of their truest and most positive qualities, you hate the Targaryens when Daenerys is textually the series’ biggest avatar and representation of the dynasty and its potential of a restoration, you hate the Targaryens when Daenerys is the one giving us the most Targaryen representation. When Daenerys is the face of a Targaryen dynasty, that’s when you hate them, and that’s when you romanticize Robert’s Rebellion, or act like Stark Sovereignty is morally superior, or write dissertations about imperialism and “problematic blood purity”. House Targaryen is only “corrupt, violent, arrogant, inbred, disgusting, an allegory to white nationalism, imperialist, zealous, despotic” when Dany is the hope of a Targaryen Restoration, when she is the one representing her family’s reclamation of the throne, when she is the one who is giving us the primary Targaryen storyline. Otherwise, you enjoy the Targaryens as much as GRRM himself does. You just don’t want to admit that you simply hate the girl whose existence is the reason you get so much supplemental information about the Targaryens in the first place.

Tbhx's biggest mystery:O

A theory I have had is that the unknown and unlabeled individual dressed in all black is O.

Someone who seems to be the female opposite of X with the analysis board describing their all of their stats to be super and for them to have almost no information on the individual just like X.

However, if this is true it does make me wonder on what type of relationship X and O have and if O is even a hero or if she is directly related to fear while X is directly related to trust. Both want to maybe destory the system?

you can say "women, especially women of color, are often written poorly in comics, so you can't just take everything canon says at face value" and everyone will cheer, but the second you say "which is why purely watsonian analysis of Talia al Ghul, Jade Nguyen, Tana Moon, Catalina Flores, and countless others will never work because you have to acknowledge the biases they were written with" you get called an abuse defender :/
