yesterday it was all about deleting kelly from a photo kissing max, today it’s about how it was kelly commenting from max’s ig on that story…. I wonder when these people will accept the reality that max is in fact an adult who loves his girlfriend & their daughter
oh god, they do find something to keep themselves delusional every day, don't they?
and unfortunately i think the answer is that they won't. unless they grow up up, if they are not adults already, and recognise their own jealousy and (internalised) misogyny.
related tangent: in my early days in this fandom when max and kelly had been dating for a year / two years, i regularly saw people talking very fondly about dilara, max's ex-girlfriend, and oh how they missed her, and oh how they preferred her over kelly. which got me curious about her and her past relationship with max. what made her and their relationship so special?
you know what i could find out about her aside from several pictures? nothing. she was and still is extremely private. so much so that media wrote articles about that because they didn't have anything else.
and i think that is exactly why certain people spoke so fondly of her. the relationship was in the past so no longer a threat to them and there was nothing to dislike about her because they simply didn't know anything about her and they could project themselves or any desirable trait onto her like a perfect y/n vessel. unlike kelly, who came with a known past, a known family and a kid max happily accepted and with her own personality and opinions and who max clearly (to some of us with eyes and sense) loves and seems to be very happy with. and it's that same mindset that has people erasing her and not accepting that max is, like you said, an adult. an adult with agency who loves her and his little family.

Can we talk about some of the set-up choices you made? Because at one point, your engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, came on the radio and said, ‘I don't want to say I told you so’. What was that all about?
We had, well, not an argument, but he was like, ‘are you sure you want to do this?’ I'm like, ‘yeah, I'm pretty sure’. Turned out to be wrong. So he was right. But in a way, it also fires me up, because I'm like, OK, well, even I'm not entirely happy with the balance now, I'll still try to be as consistent as I can be without shouting back at him. But we have a great relationship. And yeah, it works well like that.

I don’t usually liked to get involved in this kind of thing and I’ll probably delete this later because this really isn’t what I want to use my blog for, my blog has always just been a space for my writing and to talk about Max. But some of the posts on here recently have seriously crossed a line.
This has gone well beyond a bit of harmless parasocial behavior. You do not know Max. You do not know Kelly. Maybe they’re perfectly happy, maybe they’re miserable, shockingly, no matter how much you stalk them none of us actually know what goes on in their lives. And more importantly? It’s none of our business. It’s like there’s a complete inability to distinguish between online content and real life. You can dig through every post, every interview, every breadcrumb they’ve ever left online and still, you don’t know these people.
The way some of you speak about them with such confidence is bizarre. Like… go outside. Touch grass. Take a deep breath and unclench.
At the end of the day, this is a sport. The racing is literally right there, maybe try focusing on that instead of inventing soap opera plots for people you’ve never met.
It’s not just embarrassing anymore. It’s gross.
