The biggest thing that makes me doubt there’s a Christian God is that Judas went to hell. It was always an open secret when in bible study as a child, glossed over with a picture of a dark room and a rope, overshadowed by the joy of Pentecost. The joy Judas didn’t get to see. Peter and Judas are 2 half’s of the same, rebukers of Christ yet 1 goes to hell and never gets to see him again while the other becomes the foundation of the church (a church that will never be perfect as it was laid on the shoulders of a man). There difference? One felt guilty enough to kill themselves over it. Judas loved Jesus incomprehensibly, he did the worst thing which was foretold of him. And he died alone. Judas is all of us. Judas is my favourite apostle and always has been. Always will be.
