hello all :3 myself and my friend dante (@kyeomic) have befriended families in gaza that mean quite a lot to us. our friends are struggling, my friend is a widow with four young children and dante's friends have two little ones as well. to be blunt, our friends are starving to death. there is very little food available in the entirety of the gaza strip and what there is left to buy is very expensive. one kilo of flour costs $40 usd and does nothing to feed a family of any size. my friend has resorted to feeding her kids dry chickpeas. these are mothers who run the risk of their children dying, who have no access to aid because their husbands have been killed or will be killed if they send them to seek american aid out. these are real families, in real need.

in hopes of helping our friends, i have just placed an order for all kinds of new keychain designs through my manufacturer. i am expecting them in the next 3 weeks and they are currently available through my ko-fi for preorder; they will be shipped as soon as they are in hand. every dime of profit will be split between these two families, and you have the opportunity to acquire some cute merch while also helping struggling people to put food in their bellies <3 i am based within the united states but i do ship internationally!

to make a very long and tragic story short, mohammed accepted help from a person in belgium who offered to set a gofundme up for the family. his wife toha was six months pregnant at the time, and her pregnancy was extremely high risk as her cervix had began dilating and her levels of sodium were dangerously high. i sold stickers and was accepting gif commissions to donate towards his fundraiser, which made approximately $200.

shortly before toha gave birth, their fundraiser was deactivated. they received no money from the man who linked his bank account to the fundraiser, and not a penny of nearly 2000 euros ever reached them. he needed that money to reinforce their tent and buy baby supplies, and because of that person their baby, a little boy named ayan, was born in a cold, wet tent in the middle of the winter. toha’s milk supply quickly dried up from her lack of nutrition and their baby became jaundiced soon after.

the ceasefire was called not long after, and they felt so lucky to be able to return to a house that was salvageable. toha, who loves decorating and is known for it on her instagram account, made quick work of decorating for ramadan shortly after they returned home, only for the ceasefire to end just two weeks into the holy month, and for them to return to the life that had become their nightmare, this time with a young infant.

mohammed was killed in early june. he died working, trying to make money to provide his family with even a morsel of food. that was absolutely his only concern in life, was putting food into the bellies of the people he loved.
