Canon things about Eric Matthews:
Once put a waffle in a computer when he was fifteen.
Rode a rollercoaster called 'The Colossus' for six hours when he was 4 after Alan lost him.
Called his car 'Lucille.'
Fan of Ansel Adams' photography.
Thinks Howie is the cutest Backstreet Boy.
Thinks young Leonardo da Vinchi is a 'raven-haired beauty'.
Wanted to be a weatherman from the age of three.

It's Pride Month, so here are my sexuality headcanons for the main seven:
Cory: Gay. I don't have to explain this one.
Topanga: Demiromantic/sexual. There's so many instances in the show where she seems to be unable to be attracted to anyone she isn't close to.
Shawn: Bi with a preference for women.
Eric: Bi/Pan. I headcanon that he uses them interchangeably when describing himself. Zero preferences for any gender.
Jack: I think these days, when asked, he would identify as gay, although I've never really decided once and for all what (if any) concrete identity he is.
Angela: Bi, though I think she wouldn't realise until a little later in life.
Rachel: Queer, definitely embraced it with open arms after the shit show that was her college relationships.

In theory, Topanga proposing to Cory is a feminist thing to do because, yeah, women can absolutely propose to men, and for the time, that was probably a really radical thing to happen in a family sitcom.
Here's the problem: Topanga makes all the big decisions in their relationship. And when I say that, what I mean is because Topanga is always the one breaking off or progressing the relationship.
I think the writers always had her break off the relationship because they wanted the audience to always sympathise with Cory since he's meant to be the protagonist. Their second breakup was mutual, but you're still meant to feel bad for Cory first and foremost. And even when Topanga breaks it off for a good reason (Lauren), you're still meant to side with Cory.
But she's also always making the big decisions to progress the relationship (proposing and moving to NYC).
Her making big decisions in the relationship isn't the problem, it's her being the only one to make big decisions. It makes it seem like Cory is a passive participant, or at worst, that he's not in this relationship for the reasons he should be. When he moves to NYC for Topanga’s job, he's resigned to it, only happy that Shawn is coming along.
I think the biggest problem here is that by the end of the show, Cory doesn't know what he actually wants out of his own life; he just relies on Topanga for everything life wise. If ever there was a character who shouldn't have got married before the age of 25, it's Cory.

I've never seen a single episode of SVTFOE but I do know Rider Strong was on that show and I know all the words to 'Too Little Too Late', so I like to listen to it, close my eyes, and relate it to S7 E7 'It's About Time'

Matthew Lawrence: Jack and Eric were purely platonic
Will Friedle: Oh, yeah, no, for sure, man
Will [Later, shredding the script he wrote for his and Matt's Jeric spin-off]: *sniffling* Fuck my stupid baka life

The fact that 'Turkey Day' aired before 'An Affair to Forget' is interesting to me for two reasons:
TD aired the week before Thanksgiving, as opposed to AATF, which aired on Black Friday. Maybe they thought the message was so important, it had to be in people's minds on Thanksgiving. And
The episode after AATF is 'Easy Street', meaning (ignoring the week-long break between episodes) that's two Shory episodes back-to-back.

Obviously, Jack doesn't drink because of the Hunter alcoholic gene, so I imagine him drinking diet coke out of a wine glass, staring out of the window thinking, "I'm at my fucking limit."

The reason I censor C0rpanga in my posts is so it doesn't show up in the ship's tag, because no one wants their ship's tag to be full of bitchy posts about how much someone doesn't like that ship.
But apparently, people feel comfortable going into the comments of queer BMW ship edits and complaining. Like??? As much as I hate C0rpanga, I would never dream of doing something like that? That's just fucking rude? And doing so for queer ships is just homophobic.
