The Nymphai and other spirits inhabit every corner of the natural world. Their voices can be heard through the rustling of leaves, and in the bubbling of streams and creeks. The gods of the wild live here too.

Pan, lord of dance, who frolicks in the forests. Dionysos, the frenzied god, whose Maenads spread his madness to all corners of the world. And Artemis, the blessed huntress, who delights in the slaying of wild beasts.

These, and many others, fill the natural world with their presence and power. As is proper, us mortals give them offerings. Wine, incense, and the chanting of hymns.

Praised be the deathless gods, who fill all things with themselves!

My favorite relationship dynamic in fiction is a worshipper and their God. Not a literal God, but their God. The only thing in the whole world that matters to them. I will live for you, I would die for you, I would kill for you. My only moral compass is You. You can do no wrong in my eyes and I will never stray from your side.
