Maybe it's more like a float for show, a royal might sit on a wheeled float and there are harnesses the uma wear? I can imagine they are very strict with how they present, it's decorated and they do a special 'walking' step as they take them around. Likely short distances, and it's more for status than function.

Thinking about historical / ancient uma musume now.. medieval uma knights who train and run in tournaments for kings. Royal stables full of decorated girls and they parade around with royalty. Uma in suits of armor possibly jousting.

They would hold huge festivals and fairs so the girls can show off their skills and show 'which kingdom is best' because having elite horse girls is a sign of prosperity.

I think it would be neat
