these nerds made their window background big ben for their ditl in london react, so i’m finally scratching the itch of filming room window curiosity. Since dapg’s return, the window in their filming room has had six different backgrounds. After my keen, thorough, scientific analysis, I almost feel like they have custom made vinyl sticker type window covers that are easy to pull on and off ? I’m not totally convinced that the window background is superimposed, because of the way its appearance changes with the light coming in from outside, which is sometimes visible throughout a single video as the sun sets…. Anyway literally who cares here we go
1. Windows desktop background….a favorite of theirs.
2. Maybe their actual exterior or something? idk all I know is something’s growing out there and something’s gray out there.
3. Darkness with orange glow idk what goes on here maybe this is their actual exterior at night? It’s vibey 🤷♀️

getting into Dan and Phil in 2015 was so funny bc at the time it felt like I had become a fan really "late" or something like I had missed some sort of peak era and had so much to catch up on but that was 10 years ago, I can't IMAGINE how newer fans feel now
#personally I feel like I just joined at a new peak / joined at just the right time#I love the more relaxed and unapologetic and secure vibes now it feels nice watching their older videos and knowing where they are now#It gives a different perspective on their older stuff since I don't have that nostalgia for it but it's really fun to go back to and unrave#Funnily enough their older stuff still feels very nostalgic because of how fundamental/engrained they are to internet culture of the time#I do wonder sometimes about how different my life would have been had I become a fan earlier lol but I don't really have any regrets or fom#hearing all the older fans' perspectives is really cool too it really is just a vibe#I do feel a big part of the fun of being a newer fan is picking apart the history from the comfort of this new unapologetically gay era lol

guys i have a dilemma: i want to introduce my friend to dnp but where the fuck do i start??! what videos should i show them? do they need to know the lore?
#my friend introduces me to them with the cinnamon roll baking video and that worked on me. I knew very little about them before then#then we watched their reacting to pinof videos so that gave a taste of the lore while also establishing the new vibes#then i watched their sims series and took charge from there. Part of the fun as a post-hiatus phannie is uncovering the lore like an#archaeologist digging in the dirt
