So first of all, when you gather in territories you have a chance to come across this message in your results.

You might get this big error page. Don’t sweat it! Just refresh or re-enter the URL and you should be fine. It should bring you here!

You click that “View Pet” Button, and then you can see your lovely new friend! It might be a baby, and making that grow up seems to error currently, so don’t sweat it.
