IT’S THIS EMPTY FEELING INSIDE,   it    follows    her.    and    richie?    richie    is    simply    exhausted,    life    before    having    to    carry    around    these    feelings    was    easier.    when    she    didn’t    have    to    pretend    to    be    okay,    because    she    sorta    was.    having    a    knife    so    close    to    your    throat    made    you    rethink    some    stuff.    and    it    left    her    with    a    bunch    of    nightmares    too.    it’s    overwhelming    then,    anxiety    crawls    from    beneath    her    feet    and    seizes    her    arms,    she    takes    a    turn,    not    running    but    escaping,    this    feeling    of    dread    weighed    her    down,    and    paranoia    took    over.    it’s    in    the    girl’s    bathroom    where    she’s    alone    with    her    thoughts    that    the    anxiety    and    heaviness    only    grows.    breath    erratic    and    it    isn’t    until    the    door    slams    open    and    makes    richie    jump.    half    expecting    another    psycho    to    have    found    her    and    was    oh    so    ready    to    stab    her    to    death.    

but    it’s    just    val.    

“    jesus    val,    didn’t    know    you    had    to    slam    the    door    open    like    that-    ”    it’s    mean,    the    knife    to    the    throat    didn’t    take    away    her    own    edge,    the    meanness    settled    between    her    ribs    after    many    years    of    being    a    bitch.    the    softer    side    of    her    takes    over    for    a    moment,    recognizes    she    kinda    went    too    far.    “    -sorry.    ”
