Literally Timo with the twins😭😭
You can’t tell me I’m wrong😭😭
If this shows a personal account let me know, it didn't for me but I'm not trying to put anyone on blast 😘
OKAY! I saw this on my June break and I ran to my AU document to write it down because 1000000000% I screamed, "this is Timo." It would be caught on camera in a similar fashion. And he would feel like the biggest dumbass. Emma would be laughing SO hard... and then admit she did something similar the previous week.
My literal, unedited notes:
Also idk if anyone's seen the TikTok of the dad yelling for the twin named Kevin and the twin is like… “I Kevin…” plz know that is Timo. As the twins get older, they start intentionally messing with their dad but jokes on them because he knows their little quirks and picks up right away. They would never pull that with mama.
Also, more twins lore just because:
For the first few months of Liam and Logan being born, Emma and Timo talk regularly about how hard it is to tell them apart. They honestly had to think long and hard about if they maybe switched them up on accident on the way out of the hospital. Emma finally confirms that they didn’t do that. “Oh! No! I remember! I dressed Liam in the green onesie cause he was so grumpy. Like the Grinch!”

I’ve noticed that many of the fics in L&L is told through Emma’s perspective, can we get a fic of Timo planning to ask Emma to marry him like asking the Hischiers for permission, buying the ring, and his initial plan (only for her to ask first 😭)
A/N: Yes all of L&L was intentionally through Emma's perspective, but it has been so fun as we have extended the AU to provide Timo's as well. Thank you!!
“Timo?” Emma calls softly from the closet on a hot, July day.
“Baby?” He responds without moving from where he is adjusting his watch by his bedside table.
“Tell me I am not going to get bigger than this?” She pants at him from the doorway. He purses his lips to keep in the bubble of laughter forcing it’s way from his mouth. She stands with a pair of black stretchy pants pulled halfway up her bump. Her breasts are spilling out of her bra, almost tucked up to her chin. She fans at her make up free face, cheeks red and splotchy from the summer heat. “How fucking dare you get me this pregnant in the summer? What are these NHL girls thinking with wanting this!? I’d rather give birth without you than be this damn uncomfortable.
“There is a lot to unpack in that speech. Which part should I address first?” He asks calmly, cocking an eyebrow at her.
“None of them. You’re going to be late for training.” She points at the clock then spins around to disappear back into the closet.
“Are you going into the office?”
“No, it’s a coffee shop meeting to check in with Rhea. Then I’ll be back here, naked on the couch again.”
“Oooo, I like that.” He licks his lips as he comes into the closet. “I’ll probably miss you for lunch then. Larissa is squeezing me in for a cut.” Emma squints at him.
“Don’t be at your sister’s salon getting your hair all cut and faded so you look irresistible when I’m looking like a beached whale.”
“What? Noooooo. You’re looking so skinny today.” Timo insists. “Can barely see you when you turn to the side.”
“Oh my god.” Emma laughs, shoving his shoulder. He barely moves. “You’re full of it!”
“Probably. I gotta go. I love you.” He kisses Emma’s lips then he swings down, smooching her belly. “I love you too, Lio.”
“Beat Philip in your little races!” Emma calls as he heads out of their room.
“Of course!” He calls back to her.
Today, Timo won’t be seeing fellow hockey player, Phillip, though. Or his trainer.
Instead, he is heading on a mission to meet with Rino and Katja Hischier for the second most important talk in his life. The first, of course, being his and Emma’s conversation about their pregnancy in December.
Huge butterflies dive bomb his stomach through the entire drive. He has been practicing his speech over and over again in his head. He feels he has the mostly right words to convey what Emma and their growing family mean to him. But he isn’t naive enough to think they might have some doubts about his ability to care for their only daughter. Timo still worries they don’t know him enough as Emma’s partner to be comfortable giving their blessing on Timo’s intentions.
On their front step, Timo jingles the key fob in his pockets as he waits at the door after a brief knock. He wishes he was dressed nicer. But in order to surprise Emma when he asks her, he had to look the part for training today. He purposefully choose all Devils gear, hoping the reminder of his employer will bode well for this conversation.
“Timo!” Katja announces when the door opens. She walks right to him and wraps him into a warm hug. “We have been looking forward to this.” She tells him. Timo pulls away and he laughs humbly.
“So you know?”
“We have hoped.” She gives him a kind smile that accents the smile lines around her eyes. “Not because we are old fashioned.” She clarifies, holding a finger up. “But because we have learned our daughter is quite in love with you.”
“I’m never going to get over hearing that. From her or other people.” Timo admits, kicking his shoes off in the entry way and following after her to the living room. Pictures of both Hischier kids line the walls, tables, and shelves. Pretty much every horizontal space is covered with their faces at various ages and the remaining space with house plants. Timo pauses at a frame with Emma from her college graduation. She is gorgeous, full of pride and confidence as she eyes the camera with her determined look. He would meet her almost a year after this picture was taken.
Timo wishes he had time to study each of Emma’s photographs in depth, so he could pick out the features of hers he hopes their son will have. But Katja sits down on the couch next to Rino and Timo knows his window is now.
“Thank you both so much for meeting me.” They nod, slight amusement pulling their lips up. Tightly, he folds his fingers together in front of him. “I know Emma being pregnant is a surprise to all of us.”
“Was it?” Rino asks, cocking a teasing eyebrow. “You weren’t there?”
Timo pauses, feeling his heart jump into his throat.
“Rino.” Katja slaps his thigh. “He is teasing. Go on.” She encourages. Timo exhales a laugh sheepishly.
“Okay, I was there, but this wasn’t…” He trails off, feeling rattled. “Anything more than a dream to me before.” He finally decides on. “I’ve loved Emma for a long time now. I know you haven’t been able to experience us together, but trust me, we’re great together. Not just at making babies…” Timo pauses for a moment, smirking, but respectful. “We flourish when we are together. A part of me opens up and becomes alive in Emma’s presence. I want that for the rest of my life. Even if she wasn’t pregnant with our son, I would still want that. I would still want her.”
Timo pauses for a moment, trying to relax his breathing because he feels like he is both unable to breathe and breathing too much. He swallows a thick glob of saliva then continues.
“I didn’t come here to tell you about how amazing your daughter is. We don’t have the kind of time that requires. Plus you already know. You raised her and that impact speaks for it’s self. I came here to ask for your blessing to be the man who gets to walk beside her forever.” Katja’s lips stretch into an emotional smile. Rino’s eyes close almost in a brief prayer, then open back up, more glittering than before. Timo’s heart swells in his chest, ready to explode with love at the way Emma’s parents look back at him.
“Emma loves you both and while she may be incredibly independent and progressive. Your support means everything to her. To us now. And it would be an incredible gift to her, me and our son if you were willing to support us in this next chapter.”
“This means a lot to you, personally.” Rino states. Timo meets his gaze head on. “Because your parents are not happy.”
“No, but they don’t understand what this is. They don’t know us. And you two didn’t in December either but you stood in Nico’s kitchen and welcomed me without a second thought. I’m so grateful for that. So yes, this is about more than following certain rules or checking a box. I’m asking because this matters to me too.” Rino leans forward to the coffee table and grabs his cup of espresso, clearly trying to mask his tears.
“Emma will have to make a significant adjustment to be your wife.” Katja points out. “She had a snapshot of that when she moved to New Jersey and the transition was hard for her, pregnant or not.”
“I know I’m asking a lot from Emma. She is giving up what she worked hard for here to keep our family together. I will never take that for granted. It’s a large part of why it’s so important to me that she knows I’m in this forever.”
Rino sips his espresso. He inhales deeply before looking at his wife. Time passes infuriatingly slow until Rino finally speaks.
“Timo, you had our blessing before you walked in here. But we appreciate that you wanted to share this all with us.”
“Yes.” Katja echos her husband. “Emma… is…” Katja trails off, getting emotional. She wipes at a tear in the corner of her eye. “Special. She changed our lives. Being in her orbit is a gift.” Timo smiles tenderly, nodding his head slightly. “To be her husband, will be your most important role. She will not be satisfied with ordinary or the bare minimum.” Timo snorts, dropping his gaze to the floor.
“No, she won’t be.”
“A task you are up for?”
“A task I was born for.” Timo sits up confidently. “Emma deserves an extraordinary love. There is no one else who can love your daughter this way. I know because she’s looked, but it’s me she keeps coming back to.”
“You say that with no jealousy or spite?” Katja smirks.
“There is none.” He shrugs his large shoulders. “We have both made choices that brought us here. That are giving us a son. So we took the long way…” He shakes his head. “There is more of those decisions in the path ahead. We’ll just make them together now. That’s what matters to me.”
“Are you excited for Lio?” This is the first time someone other than Emma or Timo has said their son’s name and it sounds so damn good to hear Katja say it.
“I-I am.” Timo nods, swallowing thickly. “I can’t wait to be his dad.” His stomach dips and swells as he thinks about getting to hold their son for the first time. His hands grow heavy in anticipation of the weight of his little body resting there.
“Will you ask her before?” Rino wonders.
“No. I’ll be honest. I’m going to take advantage of the hormone rush and the drugs and ask her after. I was thinking a nice dinner at home during the baby bliss everyone keeps telling us about.”
“Good idea.” Katja laughs.
“Can’t risk her saying no… that would be awkward.” They all laugh now, appreciating the joke knowing Emma will be thrilled with this all - the man, the ring, the proposal, and of course, the baby.
“Best not to let her think it through.” Rino concurs.
“Think through what?” A voice asks from the kitchen, causing Timo to jump. Nico rounds the corner. “Oh. You told them?” He mumbles while sticking in a new Zyn. “Are we taking bets on her answer yet?”
“Nico.” Katja rolls her eyes.
“What? That’s funny?”
“It’s not funny when you say it.” Timo frowns.
“I know her best out of any of you, so it should be funnier.” Nico points out.
“What would your bet be?” Timo poses, squinting.
“N-ooo.” He annunciates the word then gives a big shit-eating grin.
“I think you’re getting Emma’s answer confused with Lexi’s next week. Dick.” Timo accents the insult with a smug smile.
“What?” Katja’s eyes twinkle excitedly. “You’re proposing to Lexi!? Next week!? When were you telling us!?”
“Ooops. Seems like a good time for me to clear on out. I have an appointment to make.” Timo chuckles, standing. “Thank you both for your blessing and kind words of encouragement.” Timo says after giving both parents a hug. “Nico, thanks for nothing as usual.” Timo offers a wave then heads out of the impending conversation coming for his, hopefully, future brother in law.
“T, you’re an ass!” Nico calls down the hallway where Timo is putting his shoes back on.
He chuckles, grinning at his captain knowingly.
“Have fun.” He mouths as Nico flips him off.
When Timo gets home to Emma after his hair cut, he finds her in the living room with a bowl of yogurt-covered pretzels on her bump. She chews thoughtfully, eyes focused on the TV where she watches a podcast episode on Youtube breaking down the latest episodes of a reality dating show.
“Hey.” She greets him when he kisses to the left of her bun. “How was running hills or whatever you do?”
“Great.” He nods, keeping his little lie going. He heads to the fridge, grabbing both of them fresh bottles of water. He hands Emma hers then sits next to her on the couch. Emma rolls her head over to look at him.
“Lio’s hungry.”
“Lio, hm?” Timo chuckles.
“Yeah.” Emma rubs her hand over her belly.
“These pretzels aren’t enough for him?”
“No, he says he wants spaghetti.”
“Okay, Can you ask Lio if we have the stuff for spaghetti?” Timo wraps an arm around her shoulders. Emma jokingly whispers down to her belly, hiding her mouth behind her hand from Timo.
“He says yeah. And he wants meatballs too.”
“We aren’t going to eat for awhile then.”
“He says he can wait. He just had a PB&J.” Timo chuckles.
“Is this your way of trying to get me to make dinner?”
“Yes.” Emma throws her head back and laughs loudly. The bowl slides off her belly, spilling pretzels down the cracks in the couch.
“You could have just asked me that, Em.” He murmurs, helping her scoop out the pretzels.
“Less fun.” She shrugs her shoulders. “At least you know life will never be boring with me… well, us. I think he is going to be like me.” Timo puts the bowl off to the side.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re quiet and sure and… steady. I’m wild and indecisive and a constant flight risk. That’s what he is like in here.” She pokes at her bump.
“Not a ton of space for him in there anymore, huh?” Timo asks, stretching his large hand across the surface of her stomach. Below, he can feel Lio wiggling.
“Yeah, why are you so tall?”
“Your family is tall too.” Timo scoffs. “Not just me.”
“I’m so afraid he is going to have your big shoulders.” Emma shudders. “That is going to be awful to push out of me.”
“Things you didn’t think about before having sex with me.”
“Oh I thought about them.” She murmurs dreamily. “But I was envisioned them between my legs in a different way.”
Emma’s phone buzzes. With her distracted, Timo leans down, kissing softly along their son.
“Ohmygod!” Emma exclaims.
“What?” Timo asks, keeping his mouth on their son as he simmers down. “I love you.” Timo whispers, followed with more tender kisses.
“Nico is proposing to Lexi.”
Timo stills, then casually glances up at Emma’s face. She looks down at her phone with furrowed eyebrows. She isn’t mad, but she isn’t exactly thrilled. She scrunches her nose.
“Ugh that ring is ugly. But she will love.”
“Em.” Timo warns.
“I don’t know. It’s not big enough. Like, of all the times to flaunt your wealth and he picks that?”
“She isn’t like that.” Timo reminds her. But he knows Emma is like that. It’s why he went all out with the New York jeweler with designing her ring. His exact words were “can see it from a mile away, but still life her finger up.” He think the man nailed it. It’s why he recommended the same shop to Nico for Lexi’s ring.
“Well, good for them.” Emma sucks her cheeks in a bit. Timo can see the flicker of annoyance dance across her eyes and nose but she smoothes them out with an easy smile. “When you know, you know. Right?” Timo gives her a skeptical look. Emma laughs. “I knew… I didn’t want to know. There is a difference.”
Emma scrolls on her phone screen as Timo sits back up. He glances at the time, knowing he should get the meatballs formed for dinner and double check the ingredients are good to go for the sauce. With that in his head, he stands, giving Emma a quick kiss as he walks to the kitchen.
“T?” Emma quietly asks later, when his fingers are coated in raw meat, egg, and breadcrumbs.
“Yeah?”
“We will be together forever, right? We’re done with all that we were doing before?” He takes his eyes off the mixture he was combining. Her brown eyes are a shade of worried and glossed with a sheen of vulnerability. Timo smiles lovingly back at her.
“Baby, I’m keeping you.”
“Okay. Me too.” She nods, swallowing hard. She turns back towards the TV but Timo can tell it’s unsettled in her mind. He could do it now. He could clean his hands off and go to the closet where the ring is hidden to ease every worried thought rolling in her brain. But it’s not their time yet. And Timo knows all about their timing requirements now.
“Babe?” He calls. “Come here and kiss me.”
Emma slowly pushes to her feet, then waddles over to him with a happy grin on her face. She wraps her arms around his waist, turned slightly to the side so her bump doesn’t keep them separated.
“I love you.” He whispers against her lips. “There’s no one else. Ever. Only you, Emma Hischier.”

Flashback day:
Forgive me if we've already discussed this, but if not, can we explore Rosie's first true heartbreak? Maybe a high school or early 20s relationship. Who does she seek comfort from? What are the boys' reactions?
So happy you're back!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖
I don't think I can bare a first true heartbreak, so let's go with something a little softer and sweeter... if you don't mind? 🥰
It’s David’s day to pick Rosie up from school.
It’s the first pick up he’s had in a long time since he has been focused on coaching the boy's high school hockey team all Winter. But now with another state championship secured, David gets to focus back on his favorite middle schooler.
He knows it has been awhile, but he doesn’t remember it taking this long for her to come out of the school. Most of the other cars have come and gone, but David’s truck keeps idling at the curb, kicking out exhaust into the cold, March afternoon.
After a check of the clock, David pushes his hat up his forehead, scratching at his skin beneath it, then bending again to see to the front door.
Still no Rosie.
“I’m done with this.” He mutters to himself, turning the truck off. He pushes the door open, then slams it shut, walking around the back as he puts his hands into the pockets of his thick jacket. Just as his boots hit the sidewalk, Rosie comes out of the school with a teacher. She has her arm wrapped comfortingly around his daughter’s shoulders, speaking down to her. David stops, zeroing in on Rosie’s red face. Her eyes are puffy and she nods along to whatever the teacher is saying to her.
“Hi. We had a vulnerable moment after class and needed some time.” The teacher informs David. He looks her over with scrutiny, then brings his eyes back to his daughter.
“You okay, baby?”
Rosie’s lips crumple and a big sob forces it’s way through her nose. David reaches for the back of her neck, guiding her into his jacket.
“I’ll take it from here.” David assures her teacher who nods then heads back inside as fast as she can hustle in her low heels. “Talk to me.” David quietly requests of Rosie. “Are you hurt?”
“Yeah!” Roșie chokes. “My heart, papa! It’s my heart!”
“Okay….” David trails off, swallowing hard to try and contain the rising emotion in his throat. “Like actually or a heartbreak.”
“Isn’t it both?” She peeks up at him with swimming brown eyes. Mackenzie Hischier did a number on him by giving their daughter her eyes. His own eyes sting and he holds her closer.
“Yeah, I guess sometimes it is both, huh?” He sighs sympathetically. David opens the passenger door for her and helps her get up into the truck seat. Her head tilts back towards the ceiling and more silent tears flow down from the corners of her eyes.
“Why doesn’t he like me?” She turns to David with puffy lips and red eyes from crying so hard. He can tell she had make up on earlier in the way the remnants clump in her lashes and tinges of pink flirt with the seams in her lips.
“Because he’s a dumbass.” David says immediately. Rosie pauses, then bursts into a laugh despite her condition. “I’m serious, baby. Anyone who makes you cry is a dumbass. Tell me this kid’s name. I’m going to make his life hell.” Rosie stops laughing, getting utterly serious as she grabs his wrist.
“No! Please. It will be so embarrassing. You can’t do anything. Promise me!”
“I’m not going to promise that until I hear this story.” David concludes, shutting her door and walking around to the driver’s side. Each step he reminds himself that Mack and the kids still need him. He can’t in fact murder a 7th grader.
But he can scare the shit out of him.
Rosie tells David the entire story on the way home. How all school year she’s had a huge crush on this kid named, Jace. For months, Jace had seemingly been filtering with her. They were sharing notes in class and being partners for every project, plus Jace and her would lingered at her locker after school then walk to the pick up area together. And today, Jace finally shot his shot… by asking Rosie to put in a good word about Jace to her friend.
Rosie can’t get through that part without breaking down into sobs again.
“I thought he liked me, papa!” She wails. “It’s so embarrassing. I cried in front of him when he asked me to do that! And then he asked if I was okay!”
Okay, maybe David hates Jace a little less because that was decently considerate.
“And if that wasn’t bad enough, Josh Thompson saw me crying in the stairwell. Ca-RY-Ing!”
Ah, this name David knows. Josh’s dad works on the farm. Plus Josh is an up and coming stud in the youth hockey program. David can’t wait to start coaching him in two years.
“He is Jace’s best friend and he is totally going to tell him!”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do!” Rosie screeches. David blinks rapidly at the decibel. “You don’t understand!”
“Baby, I’ve had my heart broken before.” David coos, giving her his hand. She threads her fingers through it, gasping for breath.
“Not by mama, right? By Ms. Hannah?” Rosie knows her dad’s high school sweetheart well. She was her third grade teacher and to this day Rosie loves to pop by just to say hi.
“Mama got spooked once.” He confirms, nodding his head as he turns onto the main road right off the farm. “That hurt.” He looks over at her with crumbled lips. “But with Ms. Hannah, I broke my own heart. We loved each other a lot, but wanted really different things in life. Sometimes circumstances break our heart too. Everything has to come together just perfectly to find love and make it last. Which is why I can confidently say that you will get through this. And it will be okay. Every no or rejection in life leads you on the path you’re meant to take, Pose.”
Rosie drops her eyes to his wrist, tracing the tattoo of her birthdate on his skin. Her fingers move up to the humming bird tattoo he got for his wife. She strokes the wings to soothe the remaining discomfort lodged in her chest.
“What if he was my humming bird?”
“He wasn’t.” David tells her as he turns the truck onto the farm’s long drive.
“How do you know?”
“Your ‘one' won’t make you cry like this. And he sure as hell won’t be asking for you to set him up with someone else. Let him fly away, baby. You’ll find better.”
“Thanks, Papa.” Rosie exhales shakily. “I feel better. But I’m still gonna talk to Mama about it.”
“You should. She knows a thing or two about things like this too.”
“I’m gonna ask her why she left you.” Rosie declares, unbuckling his seatbelt.
“Nuh-uh.” David shakes his head. “Leave her alone with that.”
“Papa, you let Mama get away with everything.”
“I do. Because she’s my ‘one’. You’ll understand one day.” He tells her.
“You gonna tell the boys that? Cause they don’t want me to date until I’m 40.”
“I’ll talk to their leader.” David assures her.
Rosie giggles, already looking more relaxed and happy than she did fifteen minutes ago.
“Nicky!” Roșie calls out as she drops out of the truck on her own. “Papa wants to talk to you.”
“Wait, right now?” David laughs. “Come on, babe.”
“I love you.” Rosie calls to her dad as she walks backwards to the house.
“I love you.” He repeats back to her, so relieve to see her beautiful smile again before she disappears into the house.
“What’s up?” Nicky asks, coming beside David. His jeans have rips and dirt stains all over them from working all day.
“Where’s Knox?” David asks.
“Running the four wheeler to check the South fence like I asked him to.”
“Great. When he gets back we gotta get a plan together to bully a 7th grader.”
“Mama said we can’t do that anymore.” Nicky grins, undeterred.
“You gonna tell her?” David inquires.
“No, sir.”
“Then I think we’re gonna be just fine.”

Besides Posie who has a bunch of dogs, does anyone else have any pets ?
-👢
Lucie and Connor will get two dogs at some point. And yes they’re going to have to be golden retrievers in honor of goofy dad. But I don't have names for them. I'm open to your suggestions!
Lio and Sav are not pet people. They like to be out and travel and have fancy things. They feel like that isn’t a fair lifestyle to add a pet too. They do get Gracie fish when she is older so she can learn how to take care of something, but in a low maintenance way. She really wanted a hamster after her classmate got one and Savannah said no way in hell.
Liv and Luca definitely adopt a cat named Poncho. They are the most extra pet parents with this cat. He becomes the unofficial mascot for the Kings and Livy even takes him to a game once specifically for the Simba cam. EDIT: he also is a tripod.
And we know alllll about the Carlson pack!

I still haven't fully recovered from Lio’s first birthday story 🩵 I love the little moment that Timo and Emma have before she opens the gift, and he says that she can expect a gift from him every year. Are they always on the sentimental side like the photo album, or are there some where Emma just gives Timo a look like, “Oh my goodness, this is too over the top!”?
It depends on the year! Sometimes they are sentimental and other times it’s extremely lavish and Emma is surprised. But for Lio’s first year, Timo knew he wanted it to be something touching and impactful. He totally nailed it in Emma’s eyes!
I will say Livy’s birthday gifts are always on the expensive, dreamy, and gorgeous side. Something with a high price tag and an excitement factor. For their only girl 🥹

Does Lio come over at all for dinner or anything after the fic you wrote where Livy and Luca went to his house
So maybe once? They head to Portugal together then Lio leaves for Jersey within a day after they return. He is like a bat outta hell leaving Switzerland that year.

I vaguely remember Luca not wanting his parents to know iirc but does Luca ever turn to Kevin about it? Much better option than his friends in my opinion 😅
Right! So Luca doesn’t tell his parents much about what happens with him and Livy. And because Sam and Kevin are the most trustworthy with their kids, they don’t push. If they need to know specifics, they trust Luca to tell them.
But Luca and Kevin are extremely close. Like besties. So he definitely talks to Kevin about what’s going on with Lio. Tbh, Kevin’s advice is to support Livy and suck it up 💀, in nicer words ofc.
But I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Luca to talk to his friends about his life and what is bothering him. That’s what friends are for 🥰
