SNTE blog entry 2
In our second visit to the school, we came with the grades of the quizes we made the past visit in which me realize that all the kids have problems with their confidence and self-steem as well so we specially prepared a presentation and a bunch of activities for the kids with the intention of increasing their self-steem, the presentation had topics like achieving their goals and been happy with the result and this topic came with an activity as well in which we mentioned a lot of goals and if anyone has achieved their had to raised their hand, at the beginning of the activity just a few almost nobody raised their hand because they didn´t understand the concept of a goal and they believed that hadn´t achieve anything in their lifes and that´s one of the major reasons we chose this school to work with because almost every kid has the same problem and this issue it´s not alright, it doesnpt matter whay haved you done, even the smallest thing it is consider a goal for us and we need to understand that if we want to improve and make a change in the world. After we explained the kids what a goal is everyone started to raised their hands and this was our goal for this activity which was a huge success for us. After this activity we gave another one to the kids but this one was about describing them, in the activity the kids had to write 5 goals they have achieved that day and 5 characteristics, during this activity they took a lot of time to finish this one because they thought they haven´t do anything and they also disparage themselves but we helped them finish the activity, and at the end we went outside and we started to play some football and we had a great time with all the kids and I feel we have a special bond with them and that´s the reason we started this.

In my first visit to the school,I went with my assigned team in the afternoon we made our first contact with the principal of the school and we agreed that the could work with one specific classroom in this project. So we introduced ourselves to the kids and the teacher that will be helping us in the course of the project, we are currently visiting the school two times a week for at least 2 hours in each visit we come with a new idea and class work that hopefully will help the kids to improve their self-steem, confidence, to value their hard work and celebrate every goal they accomplish even though it is the smallest of them all. We came to the classroom with the intention of earning the kids trust so we could learn more about them and know in what aspect we ccan start to work on with realize such activity with a presentation that we prepare specially for the kids in which we mentioned this project purpose and explain every single detail to them so there will not be any misunderstanding and also we gave them a quiz that everyone haved to answer so we will get to know all the kids and prepared our next presentation. So basically we introduced ourselves to the school and the kids that looked pretty excited about this project and that´s something we really liked in the moment, so we are very happy that we are able to do something like this in an area that really needs improvements and more people should really do this often cause there are many people that are going through the same situation as this kids and it´s a huge problem in the society nowadays and beign a part of this makes me very happy, excited and glad that i´m finally doing something to help this poor people that are in a worst situation than ours.

Problemática social en Culiacán: El Alcohol y el alcoholismo
El Alcohol es una sustancia depresora del sistema Nervioso central, el alcohol conocido y consumido por nosotros es el alcohol etílico, obtenido por la fermentación de cereales, frutas y vegetales. Se usa principalmente como bebida en fiestas, viene en diferentes presentaciones dependiendo de su fermentación.
También es utilizado como método de curación y en la industria (conocido como alcohol metílico). Aquí hay dos ejemplos de lo que el alcohol está causando en la ciudad. “El consumo desmedido de bebidas embriagantes en menores de edad ha generado un incremento de deserción escolar en el estado, de acuerdo con Cristhian Aldo Muñoz. El director del Consejo Sinaloense contra las Adicciones (Cosica) destaca que es preocupante que el primer consumo de droga sea el alcohol y no el tabaco, como se tenía registrado en años anteriores”.
“El alcoholismo en Sinaloa es la enfermedad número uno en adicciones, señaló el Comisionado Técnico en Adicciones Miguel Ángel Guerra Liera, asimismo, lamentó que otra adicción que está cundiendo en el estado es el vicio al juego. Precisó que en este momento 5 mil sinaloenses con problemas de alcoholismo son atendidos en 450 establecimientos de Alcohólicos Anónimos, enfermedad número uno en adicciones, misma que no respeta edad, sexo ni posición social”.
El problema del alcoholismo se presenta cada vez más diario en la sociedad y no solo mas diario, también a más temprana edad, los jóvenes de 14,15,16 y 17 años están empezando a tomar este hábito, muchas veces empiezan con un trago en casa, pero a ellos no se les hace suficiente y las razones varían, puede ser porque les gusta, por el simple hecho de tomar, por quedar bien y así sigue. La comunidad debería de tomar cartas en el asunto debido a que los jóvenes no se saben controlarse o no miden hasta cuando puede presentar un riesgo para ellos que incluso en el peor de los casos llegara a la muerto, los padres de familia muchas veces saben de este asunto y no hacen nada; La educación de cada quien es diferente y eso quiere decir que no todos los valores son iguales, alguien que esta criado bajo valores concretos y fuertes sabrá que decir que no al alcohol pero los que no, dirán que sí.
El alcoholismo está afectando la ciudad de Culiacán, de muchas formas y varias personas han terminado incluso muertas debido a la intoxicación o de tanto alcohol que consumieron, se está convirtiendo en los principales índices de muerte en la actualidad, mucha gente incluyéndome piensa que el alcoholismo que tiene que terminar o por lo menos disminuir, porque yo tengo varios amigos que consumen alcohol y me preocupa su bienestar, y por eso siento que viviéramos mejor sin el alcohol.
Al realizar este trabajo me siento bien, ya que puedo expresar mis opiniones sobre lo que el alcoholismo está causando a nuestra sociedad y por lo cual las personas tienen que ser más precavidas con su consumo. Ya al terminar mi investigación me di cuenta que Sinaloa está repleto de gente que consume alcohol, y gracias a esa búsqueda yo aprenderé a regularme con el alcohol al momento que yo llegue a consumirlo, si es que alguna vez lo pruebo.
