Back to School Tips After The Holidays 📚 . _ Summary of some tips for #Backtoschool . _ Health Vitamins can help to boost your child's immunity (schools and germs are 💊) . . Ensure adequate medication is available if need be (for example an inhaler). If you had medication in their school bag from last term make sure it is not expired. Security Go over all school run details with your child including the gateman, driver and nannies. . . Do not assume they remember your rules from last term, especially if you have some new staff.🆗️ . . Update the school if you have new people authorised to pick your children who need new ID cards as necessary. . . Organised parent #Hack 🔘 Usually when school starts there will be a calendar for the term sent. Update your calendar on your phones/email with upcoming events and set reminders. ⏳ . . Nutrition is important, have a good plan on what your child will eat is essential for healthy and nutritious meals. 🍽 (Get the back to school meal timetable from @lagosmums) . . Or were you team baby in own bed? 🛏 During the early months with exclusive breastfeeding for me it was easier to have baby on the bed with me or in cot beside the bed; it reduced the need to wake up every few hours to go and feed. I did not know or understand this part of myself – that I could be this soft -until I started popping out babies! 👶🏾 I cannot do certain things like fight online or be seen in the midst of drama or in the middle of a scandal because of my children. It’s surprising how there were things I wanted to do about 10 – 15 years ago, however, when I started giving birth, everything just switched. #Motherhood ❤️ On the Home Front When a woman or man has peace of mind in their home, that home is going to flourish. It will be blessed. Peace is bigger than love. You cannot love anybody when you are not at peace with yourself or that person. On #selfcare My self-care is detox! I take 24 hours offline at least once a month because I need my sanity and it has worked for me. On #LagosMumsLove Sometimes when I need tips about certain things, I spend hours on your page. Who can relate?🙋🏽‍♀️ . . I was just telling my husband how sometimes I feel like my brain doesn't get any time to just be quiet! Motherhood and parenting is 24/7 before you add all the other demands...🤔🤱🏾 . I love asking people how they take a moment for themselves in the middle of all their demands.
