2025 Research Paper Concerning the Illuminati Problem, an Introduction To.  MLA Format
Myth Inventing By the Media About the Illuminati & A Deeper Look At Illuminati-Inclusive Historical Perspectives by Raphael Laigo
When browsing the surface of the internet about the so-called Illuminati, one might come across titles such as “What Is the Fascination With the Illuminati Conspiracy?” (Galer) and “The Accidental Invention of the Illuminati Conspiracy” (Galer).  One might find the websites of mainstream educational platforms outright claiming that the Illuminati is “..not more than a conspiracy theory” (Britannica).  In an article by Theweek.com, author Abby Wilson states that the Illuminati is a fictional story, which celebrities themselves have either shrugged off, or even fuelled mischievously (Wilson).  Notwithstanding, there is a deeper lodged set of semi-secret information underpinning the course of intellectual, imperial and royal or dynastic history which is the foundation of the original Bavarian Illuminati, created on May 1, 1776 in Germany.  There is also a group of networked hierarchical organizations it has influenced, by which it has been influenced, and with which they share reciprocally many of the same members.  The sources from this essay make these statements plausible and will be referred to throughout, as each individual detail is related.  Although many people believe the myth that the Illuminati is a baseless conspiracy theory, in fact, its doctrines and cultural reverberations haunt modern life significantly.
Part I.  The Myth Exists as Media Obscuring The Illuminati and Repackaging It as a Myth
For comprehending that there is an unexamined perception around the Illuminati fueled by easy to access informational articles, we can turn to major news platforms and see what they have to say about the Illuminati, as they have the largest followings and influence of face value perceptions.  When a reporter from BBC asks an author and journalist, David Bramwell, ‘Why do actors and musicians like to play around with references about the Illuminati?’  He responds that they find it entertaining, and they do it because it’s fun (Galer).  Bramwell does not state that they do it because they are committed to the truth, or that they are trying to shed light on their life - which relegates the Illuminati to something of a spooky ghost story.  In an educational video from Brittanica.com, the narrator does cite some history surrounding the Bavarian Illuminati by mentioning the Rosicrucians, the Alumbrados, and the Perfectibilists.  Despite this, they do not go into detail about where these names originated from other than stating one sentence of information about each title.  They conclude the video by saying that because the Bavarian Illuminati disbanded in the 18th century, the 21st century Illuminati is no more than a conspiracy theory (Britannica).
Other articles may focus on another gamut of dilemmas which trivialize the process of digging more deeply into current or historical events.  One article from The Guardian warns of the perils of our mental health when becoming immersed in conspiracy theory culture.  It states that conspiracy theorists concerned with the Illuminati go down a bleak rabbit hole where the vulnerable reader is manipulated into believing everything is controlled by a pedophilia practicing satanic cult executing plans to instate the New World Order.  The article further insinuates that the process of going down this internet culture rabbit hole creates a skewed perception of reality where the ‘truther’ may be convinced about a series of exaggerated scenarios that can actually put them in danger of becoming addicted to absurdity (Gentleman).  This may lead the reader into perceiving the subject with a defeatist attitude.
Still, even in a more serious literature reference, that of a peer reviewed journal, the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, the writer attempting to speak about the Illuminati in relationship to legal officials subverting the law speaks within certain hypothetical frame works, not showing that the Illuminati is concrete, but rather a pressing, but abstract, what-if scenario (Barczentewicz 502).  Lawyer Mikolaj Barczentowicz writes, “Suppose we lived in a world whose judicial system looked, to most legal observers, exactly like ours: judges issued opinions based on the Constitution, the US Code, the common law, and various precedents interpreting them. But suppose a few canny professors figured out that the judges were all secretly part of an Illuminati conspiracy, ruling entirely for the benefit of their secret overlords and just pretending they were following the Constitution and these other sources. Would we say that the Illuminati instructions are the law because they describe the secret practice of the judges?  Or would we say that the judges were part of a widespread conspiracy to subvert the law?”  Here Barczentowicz must go through many phases of speech to tip-toe his way around dismissive, assumptive attitudes about a subject which he finds pressing; which suggest a disbelief in certain historical references which will be talked about later in this essay (502).
Information from other sources still create narratives that present a lot of information about the history of the historical Illuminati, yet they tend to make declarations that usher the reader into an impasse of records having not been proven, difficult to pinpoint and therefore not real (films media group).  Some sources seem to use an essence of equivocation that simplifies symbolic content of the Illuminati, or they might use fear mongering.  A Vice article states that one would have to undergo a series of complicated occult-rituals in order to see what is really happening, which may deter the reader away from further research (Laden).
In conclusion, based on these myth-proving sources, there is a range of media that instigates myth making around the topic of the Illuminati which tends to obscure its historical realities as well as cause the reader to disengage from understanding the world of secret societies, the Illuminati, or any of the other themes around it as one of many lenses of a diversified world view.
Part Two.  Demystifying False Illuminati Information Through Tracing History
Adam Weishaupt created the Bavarian Illuminati in 1776.  To note down some of Weishaupt’s machinations & schemings, we might first look at one description via the book The Dying God by David Livingstone.  It states that Weishaupt machinated a one world utopian state which abolished nationality, social authorities, and private property.  Human beings could live here in free love, peace, rationality, and equality (The Dying God 371).  In the book The Square and the Tower by Niall Ferguson, it quotes that Weishaupt wished “to give reason the upper hand” (Ferguson 3).  Like many introductions, these, perhaps relevantly, portray optimism.
However, darker descriptions of Weishaupt’s philosophy exist in great detail.  In A Historical Inquiry In Regard To The Grand Constitutions Of 1786, Albert Pike states that Adam Weishaupt taught that all religion was falsehood (Pike 143).  He was recorded to have said, “Oh!  Men, of what cannot you be persuaded?” (Transhumanism 40).  When writing to his close associate Baron Von Knigge who helped overhaul the Illuminist system and network, he wrote that “The order doesn’t yet exist.  Only in my mind... Would you forgive my little fraud?” (Ferguson 51).  Furthermore, Ferguson also writes that the purpose of the highest degree of an Illuminatus was pseudo-religious world reforming based on hollow proclamations of Enlightenment ideals (52).
According to a book called To Eliminate the Opiate by Marvin S. Antelman, it’s interestingly written that when writing another key Illuminatus, Xavier Von Zwack, Weishaupt is said to have set down a blueprint for espionage (50).  In the exchanges between themselves in 1778, the two invented plans for the women’s liberation movement.  Zwack wrote about Women’s Lib, describing that two classes of women must be created: the virtuous and the free-hearted who choose to go out of the common circuit of prudish manners.  The right books must be put into their hands.  Books which flatter their passions (Antelman 51).  This topic was also subject to paranoia in America, circa 1801, however dubious the male accusers were at the time.  In the Journal of the Early Republic there is a 1995 article titled, “Mary Wollstonecraft, or, the Female Illuminati: The Campaign against Women and "Modern Philosophy" in the Early Republic”.  In it Wollstonecraft is suspected to be part of the Illuminati problem because of their articulate writing in addition to her perceived contribution to the women’s liberation movement (395-399). In Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked written in 1884 by Monsignor F. Dillon there is a long description of doctrines for pupils of the Illuminati as taught by Weishaupt.  Setting out to do damage to man and God, Adam Weishaupt injected into his secret societies deep deceit and openness to necessary physical violence to bring about the destruction of organized religion, government and civilization.  To replace these things with Socialism and Atheism (Dillon 53).  Using the extensive networks of Masonic lodges in European countries, Weishaupt and his associates started introducing The Order of the Illuminati into different lodges as masonry was enemistic to the church, took dreadful oaths of secrecy, and surrendered their liberty to Unknown Superiors (Dillion 54).
From this place, the Illuminati could persuade men into the lowest degree of Masonry—which instantly promoted excellent gains for evil.  Before being able to be devoted to complete disregard of morality, the initiate might still have lingering, deeply set values of God and piety inside of them.  The Illuminati would show respect to these convictions through a rationality imbued language of Christianity, and at the same time set up clever intellectual methods to begin shocking that belief system loose–to eventually replace it with a preference towards Naturalism (Dillon 54, 55).  Under the direction of certain chiefs, who were under the direction of  secretive chiefs above them, the initiate would go through various intellectual stimulations with necessary “turns and counter-turns" which piqued their interest, and further opened their mind to being committed to evil as a means to evoke the end goal of a world free of corruption which ran rampant behalf of the corruptions of church doctrines and the rigidity of monarchies reigning in 18th century Europe.  Creating the convictions that all religions, like Christianity, have equally been founded on lying, chimera, error and imposture, that the ends justify the means, and that Illuminism holds the keys to the true religion, thousands of powerful men were initiated into the Illuminati (Dillon 55, Pike 149).
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, the Bavarian Illuminati advanced their plans by integrating themselves into Freemasonry lodges.  In Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, a Freemason is defined as a member of a major secret fraternal society called Free and Accepted Masons (Webster 458).  Through sifting several books on the topic, the researcher has found that Freemasonry groups or lodges extend very profoundly in Europe and have intertwined with other still more secretive organizations.  In tracing through these, there is an intricate network of people which allow us to trace the economic and political power behind the Illuminati.  Where it seems to be sourced, with whom has the most control of it, and why it is more permanent than the birth, life and death of one organization and their members over a sixty-year period in the 18th century.
Ferguson cites that after 1777, the Illuminati could accurately be described as a clandestine network embedded within Freemasonry which resembled a parasitic plant (51).  Apparently, in 1777 Adam Weishaupt was initiated into a Freemasonry lodge called The Rite of Strict Observance.  The Illuminati collaborated heavily from this rite via another leading Illuminati member, Adolph Freiherr Knigge, or Baron Von Knigge.  This lodge separated itself as superior to all other lodges within Freemasonry, and excluded members from other lodges from their meetings.  German counts, barons, and princes were members here (Pike 145).
Although Livingstone states that the Strict Observance was created as an extension of Rosicrucianism (Transhumanism 34), a movement associated with significant depth of character (Agrippa’s Diary), The Rite of Strict Observance had a variant in France called the Rectified Scottish Rite.  Both lodges came under the direction of Chevaliers Bienfaisants de la Cité-Sainte in Lyons.  The Rectified Scottish Rite and Chevaliers Bienfaisants bridges the connection from the German Illuminati to the French Illumines, a nihilist body of Freemasonry with more groups across Europe (Dillon, 50, 51, 52).  As well as being obsessed with chaos and destruction, the researcher has also found that the French Ilumines were immersed in Kabbalah, alchemy, magic, and spiritism (Transhumanism 37).  Within this realm are historical occultists associated with the Illuminati: Comte de St. Germain, Count Cagliostro, and Emmanuel Swedenborg (Transhumanism 42).
Close to here, is also where the Illuminati connections bridge into heretical Judaism through a sect called Frankists.  Antelman states that the Illuminati and the Frankists were parallel in time and location.  The former in Bavaria, and the latter in Ingolstadt (48).  Frankism is named after its 1755 founder Jacob Frank, who taught the doctrine of the “holiness of sin” (Transhumanism 39).  It is also stated that Frankism also promoted a similar end goal to the Illuminati; that of destroying every religion and positive belief system so that the world may be rebuilt (Transhumanism 40).  Livingstone connects the Frankists to the Illuminati through the record of Baron von Hund, creator of The Rite of Strict Observance, being Intimate Counsellor to King Augustus III of Poland who is here stated as Jacob Frank’s godfather (Transhumanism 40).  Within these webs following Frankism exist a deeper set of references which begin to paint a picture of the networks culminating in the backdrop of elite world dominion, their respective families and ideological grounds.  These subjects seem to be the deeper social network of the Bavarian Illuminati.
In the membership networks of the Illuminati, the Rectified Scottish Rite, Bienfaisants de la Cite-Sainte in Lyons, and the Frankists are many royal European lineages which have only accumulated worldly power as time has moved forward into the 21st century.  Some of these names include, Frederick the Great of Prussia (grandson of King George I of England), King Frederick William II of Prussia, Savalette de Langes (state treasurer for King Louis XVI of France and husband of Marie Antoinette), Charles of Hesse-Kassel, Frederick II of Hesse-Kassel, Duke of Orleans Philippe Egalite, Gottlieb Von Hund (Intimate Counselor of King Augustus III of Poland, and Counsellor of State to Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresa of the Habsburg House), Ernst II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (the first cousin of King George III of England), Prince Albert Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (great grandson of Ernst II and consort to Queen Victoria of England.) and the Rothschilds (Transhumanism 40, 41) (Pike 143) (Ferguson 50, 53).
In conclusion it seems that, beyond the surface of articles in section one, are a large array of masonic organizations with mystical and perverted leanings, who in their ranks have individuals who have counseled the monarchies of Europe, and at the same time the members of monarchies have been active members of these masonic organizations, and over several centuries these monarchies and ultra rich families have inter-married, transcending perceptions of nationalistic divisions and creating a world government which have been described in the purposes of the Illuminati.
SECTION 3. Applied Learning
In the process of going from viewing things from a surface level societal perception– which tends to create a misinformed view leading to the invention of a myth– and going into the investigation of that superficial view, one can come into knowing more about the world they live in more clearly, sharply, and in greater resolution.  The goal of making forays into the history of the Illuminati and its associated networks, is to then begin using newly appropriated information as a scope for current events, the world at large, and our own lives.  In this section I will use information from section two to help lead the reader to a healthier field of awareness that should allow them to watch the world more clearly, rather than arrogantly pounce upon conclusive attitudes and opinions, or become cynical and consider further study pointless.  At the same time, in section three, I will bring in more information from other sources to help prove these stances.
In "How the World Works” by Noam Chomsky, there is one section on page 293 with an interview where the acclaimed scholar is questioned on the basis of being excommunicated from mainstream media, the “illuminati” circles of upper west Manhattan and their publications, like the New York Review.  To this he responds with an array of answers about his activism activities during the American-Vietnam War and the actions taken by the American presidency in 1973.  Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger’s “peace treaty” with Hanoi had been reached.  The New York Times published an article with Kissinger going over the paragraphs of the peace treaty.  The article published the nice part of the public announcement where Kissinger states, “The war is over”, “everything is fantastic”, and “peace is at hand” on television.
However, Chomsky describes that in the real-life public announcement, Kissinger goes through the treaty, rejects every item in it, and clarifies that the U.S. was going to continue its bombings.  Chomsky relates that the press only exhibited Kissinger’s first line, “...peace is at hand.  Wonderful.  It’s all over.”  and went on to say that Kissinger actually said something more along the lines of - ‘we're not paying attention to this, because we don’t want this agreement, and we’re going to continue bombing until we get something we do want’ (294).  This description of a press covered political event seems a lot like the deceit-based philosophy of the Illuminati described in Section 2, on page 5 & 6: telling the idealistic and peace-oriented mind one thing, all the while intending to inflict an irreconcilable amount of violence on innocent people so that a new government may be set up in someone else's country.
We can go further in examining current events with our appropriated secret Illuminati information.  One aspect of being informed with current events is: the amount of comprehension one has about the descriptions of experts.  For example, when asked about a book they wrote, “Manufacturing Consent”, Noam Chomsky responds in terms of contemporary political process without any further back reaching historical references by saying, “...They require something to frighten people with, to block them from paying attention to what is actually happening to them.  You need to somehow engender fear and hatred, to channel the kind of rage—or even just discontent—that's being aroused by social and economic conditions” (Chomsky et al 233).  While this is a simple enough of a framework to see things through, in David Livingstone’s book Transhumanism: The History of A Dangerous Idea, Livingstone connects this same process to the unravelling of secret world plans online since the proliferation of the Illuminati doctrines in the 18th century and calls it Hegelian Dialectic.  They go on to state that the Hegelian Dialectic gave form to modern western society through its process of thesis-antithesis-synthesis (47).
Livingstone gives a historical backdrop through Frederick Hegel crediting the terminology to Emmanuel Kant, after whom Johann Gottlieb Fichte elaborated into and von Schelling also worked with.  Both of the latter, Livingstone explains, were associated with the Bavarian Illuminati (Transhumanism 47).
Highlighting the consensus of the idea of Hegelian Dialectic, I’ve found a well detailed article by A Little Truth on Hubpages.com where they relate Hegelian Dialectic and the ruling elite to happenings such as 9/11 and the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, flu’s and their response of vaccinations leading to death and sickness, never ending wars on drugs and wars on poverty.  In this article the author cites former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel saying, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.  And what I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”  Just as well, he ties this into the 33rd Scottish Rite Freemasonic motto “Order from Chaos” also known as “Problem-Reaction-Solution".
Regarding secrecy, in response to the question about being excommunicated by the New York Illuminati, Chomsky does not use historical references to the Illuminati but tends to respond with descriptions of contemporary socio-political conditions and gives reasons for the way they are maneuvered.  He states that another factor is that the media is owned by wealthy men who have very many reasons to not want certain ideas expressed.  He identified education as another factor when relating that when you go through Oxford or Cambridge, you learn that there are certain things it “wouldn’t do to say”, and if you don’t learn that, then you’re not in the system (Chomsky et al. 296).
Here again, we are able to look at another synonymity.  There is an apparent parallel between the doctrine of secrecy of the Illuminati, Freemasonry and the secrecy of “the wealthy men who own the press.”  Yet, using the references of familial dynasties of Europe on page 8, section two, one can begin to draw the assumption that the wealthy men who own the press are not separate from the historical members of Freemasonry, the Illuminati, The Rite of Strict Observance, the Rectified Scottish Rite, the Philadelphes or Bienfaisants de la Cité-Sainte in Lyons and therefore have applied their doctrines of secrecy to the media, press and education systems which they own.
Through the lenses of studying the network of the Illuminati historically, we can begin to look at other things in real time differently, like the names of the things around us here in the United States.  For instance, in section two is a reference by Albert Pike that one member of the Illuminati was the Duke of Orleans, from the French Royal Family the Orleans (143).  We can then ask the questions, “Is it the same Orleans family that New Orleans is named after?”, and “What might the drunken nights of bizarre Dionysian activity that is Mardi Gras have to do with the occult doctrines of the Illuminati or the larger systems of mysticism?”  Well, in Transhumanism: The History of a Dangerous Idea, the author states that this same Duke of Orleans was the grandmaster of a certain Grand Orient Lodge, as well as being a part of the Illuminati.
It goes on to state that this Duke of Orleans, along with others in connected Freemasonry lodges (the Amis Reunis and Philalethes), came from France's financial sector and had direct influence with high officials, the king and his cabinet, bankers, landowners and businessmen (38).  The Duke of Orleans was established within these social groups at the time of the overthrow of the French monarchy of King Louis XVI, who was wedded to Marie Antoinette of whom a film was made about by Sofia Coppola, starring Kirsten Dunst.  This was the French Revolution of 1789.  Furthermore, on the history of the Orleans royalty, Livingstone states that since circa 1705, the Orleans family has been notoriously known for its delving into the black arts (Transhumanism 34).
Following the same line of logic, we can look at the Illuminatus with whom Adam Weishaupt took refuge under in Gotha, Germany when the Illuminati was prosecuted by the government of Bavaria in 1784.  This individual is Ernest II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.  Reading further into The Square and The Tower by Niall Ferguson, in chapter 24, the author explains the royal intermarriage going on to create the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.  Hailing from Germany, he states that this family had intermarried with monarchical families in Russia, England, Denmark, France, Belgium, Portugal, Norway, Romania, Greece and Spain (135, 137).  When connoting the founder of the Saxe-Coburg dynasty, Leopold “King of the Belgians”, the book states that as thrones were often offered to members of Leopold’s family, Leopold was much amused in 1843 when a very wealthy, influential American from New York assured him that they stood in requisite of a government which is able to bestow protection to property.  Instead of the rule of mobs, as it were, this American had wished very much for members of the Coburg family to be disposed to this kind of position.  “Is this not flattering?” He asked his niece, Queen Victoria (135).
Beginning from common social perception of the Illuminati informed by news media claiming that the Illuminati is a conspiracy theory, to turn-back signals warning of the perils of beginning to study the subject, to an even finer kind of article of mixed-messages with what seems like an agenda to talk about a topic while at the same time keeping a secret secure, the pernicious nature of this ignorance begins to show up when one looks at a more maturely written material about secret societies in 18th century Europe.  It then becomes clear that we have been making decisions in our socio-political lives based on myths or assumptions that we cannot verify, which in turn makes our creativity inherently flawed.  Deducing that creativity begins within ourselves and expresses itself outwardly in like formatting, the writer can say that these flaws go on to make this world a worse place.
In conclusion, we have seen here that there is evidence to show that America is owned and controlled by European dynastic families.  That the French Revolution was masterminded by Illuminati Freemasons and deeper associative networks.  That the difference between Democrat and Republican politicians pales in comparison to the world developing faculty of Hegelian Dialectic.  More deeply critical still, That the current stances of feminism in the world have been invented and implemented by the Bavarian Illuminati to help further nihilistic, dystopian doctrines to sit upon the chest of a truly liberated America.  Although many people believe the myth that the Illuminati is a baseless conspiracy theory, in fact, its doctrines and cultural reverberations haunt modern life significantly.

Genesis
Until recent times, the American continent was destitute of Old Masters. Many of the leading artists of this country, from Copley in the eighteenth century to Mary Cassatt, who died in 1926, have recorded their lamentations. There was nothing for them to study. They had to go abroad to learn to paint. The New World might afford political liberty, freedom of worship, and unsurpassed prosperity, but it did not offer models for their work. That grindstone of the achievements of the past against which they needed to polish their own attainments was nowhere to be found. Not that Americans were indifferent to art. We seem always to have had a surprising passion for paintings. Like the Dutch in the seventeenth century, we have eagerly commissioned portraits of ourselves, our possessions, our way of life, and, in our mementos and memorials, our way of death. As John Neal, the first important American art critic, wrote in 1829: "You can hardly open the door of a best-room any where, without surprising or being surprised by the picture of somebody, plastered to the wall and staring at you with both eyes and a bunch of flowers." But until the end of the last century Americans, with rare exceptions, had not time for connoisseurship--for that lust of the eye which, coupled with a sense of possession, leads to the formation of great collections. As John Adams, the second President of the United States, wrote to his wife in 1780: "I mist study politics and war, that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain." One can see the stages outlined by Adams clearly reflected in the changing conceptions, over a period of a century and a half, of the nature and role of a..." The National Gallery of Art John Walker

Art History: Governments and Raphael's St. George and the Dragon
"Although the National Gallery of Art is the youngest of the world's great national galleries, in the character of its collections it resembles the oldest of the European museums. For, like the galleries of Paris, Vienna, Munich, Leningrad, and Madrid, it reflects the taste of discerning private collectors. They are the American succesors to those princely amateurs who founded the national collections of Europe- the rulers of France, the Emperor Rudolph, the Archduke Leopold, Philip IV of Spain, Catherine the Great, and others- and it has been their generosity that has made possible the growth of a great national collection in just of thirty years. Such collections have been formed most frequently by individuals, seldom by committees, and almost never by governments. Some governments have at times even shown themselves more ready to disperse than to assemble Raphael's St. George and the Dragon, one of the supreme works of art in the National Gallery in Washington. In three hundred years this panel has been twice sold by governments. It was first commissioned by Duke Guidobaldo da Montefeltro, ruler of Urbina, as a present for Henry VII of England. The English kind had made the Italian ruler a Knight of the Garter, and Raphael was told to paint on the armor encasing St. George's leg the emblem of the knightly order. After the execution of Charles I, the revolutionary government of England sold this panel along with the rest of his collection. It was bought privately in France, where it remained until, under the shadow of the French Revolution, it was acquired by Catherine the Great and Taken to Russia. Another revolution and another government, that of the Soviet Union, and it was sold again, this time from the Hermitage, the museum of Leningrad. Andrew Mellon acquired it for the National Gallery of Art, along with twenty other paintings. In the same way Hitler ordered to be sold from German museums paintings which eventually entered the Kress and Mellon collections." The National Gallery of Art John Walker

some images i've shot and daoist diagrams i found while living in hanoi, northern vietnam this winter
.
.
.
for further study i've been reading this long historical article about
i then paired it with research about the lobbying for the creation of the c.i.a., persons of importance, the outset of the vietnam war, schism between two european ideologies and political parties, the assassination of john f. kennedy, to find distinguished persons of the begginings of the c.i.a. sprinkled about the events, the subsequent backwardness of the vietnam war, the following presidency of lyndon b. johnson and their advisors such as rostow and mcnamara. the vietnam/indo china war came along the time of the development of widespread propagation of lsd for the mind expansion/control program mk ultra, which was seen as a threat to the support of the war effort abroad. i could describe these things at further depth.
In the article^, there are a lot characters who had struggled on the asian continent, and i've been following what they did.
it's good to get the wholistic picture, to help fill in the back drop of political history here.
