Uberhood -  A  CC-FREE SAVE FILE - Download v.3

1. Overview

The Uberhood is an ongoing PROJECT where I’m creating a savefile, with all the worlds and lore from The Sims 2 ported to The Sims 4. 

It currently includes Pleasantview, Strangetown, Veronaville and Three Lakes. That’s 7 residential worlds, one vacation world, and all the career lots (detective, hospital and science lab). It also includes all the premade families as well as the iconic townies that lived in those worlds in The Sims 2 times. They all have jobs, relationships, sentiments, lifestyles and reputation (please do check the sentiments because there’s a lot of drama in there! - but be quick because sentiments fade over time even if you’re not playing the house, and there’s nothing I can do about it…hoping a modder fixes this!)

Note that this is not a an exact replica of The Sims 2 worlds.  While everything is inspired by Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville, I wanted to update everyone’s looks as well as the looks of the houses and community lots. All builds are built from scratch and they are not “makeovers” of any EA builds. I’d like to think this is what TS2 team would have done if the game had been released in 2021 with the packs that we have today.

2. The towns 

The save currently includes: 

Pleasantview (Willow Creek)

Pleasantview Plains (Newcrest)

Strangetown (Strangerville)

Ordinary Springs (Oasis Springs)

Career lots

Bluewater Promenade (Magnolia Promenade)

Veronaville (Windenburg)

Three Lakes (Granite Falls)

TOOL was used to decorate outside the playable area (added parked cars, playgrounds, etc.), but you don’t need TOOL for the save to work or for the objects to show. I also added rabbit and bird spawners in Three Lakes and some areas of Veronaville. 

THE REST OF THE WORLDS (EXCEPT HENFORD) ARE 100% EMPTY, as I will be developing them in future versions of the save.

3. Required packs and How to Install (PLEASE READ)

ALL EXPANSION, GAME PACKS,STUFF PACKS AND KITS RELEASED UP UNTIL COTTAGE LIVING ARE REQUIRED. Yes, Star Wars is now required, sorry! 

If you don’t have them, sims may be half naked, and/or bald and stuff may be missing. Install at your own risk. 

In order to install:

BACK UP YOUR SAVES.

Download the the SAVE file.

Put the save in your SAVES folder.  Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Saves. I changed the name of the file so that it will hopefully not overwrite any of your saves (including the previous v1). If your system prompts you to overwrite a save, do not click yes. Just change the name of the save (keep it 8 numbers but change the numbers) and try again.

Optional: Put the .package file (StrangetownTexts.package) in your mods folder. This file is used to change the Strangerville mystery a bit, and turn it into the Strangetown mystery (with custom texts, references to the Bella mystery, etc.). Please install it if you want to have some clues on what happened to Bella!! 

4. Play Order

There’s really no set play order but note that:

1.- Brandi Broke is pregnant and will give birth in 3 days regardless of who you play and regardless of whether aging is on or off, so play with her first if you want to be there for the birth.

2.- Same thing applies to Pascal Curious, who’s also pregnant at the start of the save.

3.- And finally, please note the Summerdreams are throwing a wedding party on Saturday! So play with them that day if you want to be there! 

5. Recommended CC

With the exception of the optional Strangetown Texts package, this is a CC Free save, these sims were originally created using CC skintones and eyes so they look best with CC in my opinion. In fact they creep me out without CC.

8. Disclaimer and TOU

I’m just one person and there may be some bugs here or there.

Feel free to report them but I will only fix them if I consider them super relevant or game breaking, otherwise the save is provided as is and you install it at your own risk.

THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to me. I've put a lot of effort into making the installation process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Dag Dag!

More Clothing Rows WIP

I've been working on MCR lately and here is a sneak peek. The only thing left to do is making more columns compatible with SmoothPatch. (The button is active at all times now, and you can right-click to reset the grid arrangement.) Hair and face categories will be supported in the future.

once again my generations family sims want more babies, so they needed a bigger house; that’s what I’m bringing you today! this one is a little bit different and has a couple of split level areas (the living room and the garage, which has been converted into a bedroom + living area). haven’t done many of these so fingers crossed your sims won’t have any tantrums. hope you like it!

[TS3] SetHour Cheat

Overview

I've had this mod lying around for a while now, and it's been quite handy for testing a lot of things, so I thought I'd upload it :)

As the name suggests, it's a TS3 version of the SetHour cheat from The Sims 2.

Works the same way as its TS2 counterpart, by opening the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C and typing sethour (desired hour). Eg. "sethour 20" for 20:00/8pm

Simply drop the package file into your "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages" folder

oh so basic reshade preset + hodge-podge multiluts

Oh So Basic is made to be as lightweight as possible, the hodge-podge of multilut’s does all the heavy lifting for lighting, color and more. The reshade preset adds OPTIONAL anti-aliasing, debanding, MXAO and DOF lens effects. If you don’t want to use the luts, there’s an additional shader (prod80_04_ContrastBrightnessSaturation) you can use instead.

Note:

these presets were made with reshade 4.9.1.

these were created in windowed mode. sims 3 fullscreen mode has a brightening mode/overlay so results may vary when using reshade and/or taking screenshots.  

uses shaders: SMAA, MXAO, Deband (not the quint deband), MultiLut, prod80_04_ContrastBrightnessSaturation, Cinematic dof, ADOF (quint adof), and FXAA.

The hodgepodge multiluts contains 5 luts:

the LUT - The one that started it all. Features vibrant cool greens, saturated reds and poppy yellows.

unicorn - The most contrasty + saturated on the batch. Extra dose of cyan and satuated reds and bright yellows.

SPRINKLES -  A very clean everyday lut. Can be used on its on or as a base for other shaders.

happy pancakes - inspired by my very own little happy Pancake. I wanted some bright, happy and colorful with LOADS of color. This one is heavy with reds, yellows, and greens and more. The greens are also warmer and more vibrant (especially compared to the LUT)

warm gooey pancakes - A richer, warmer, more saturated version of happy pancakes

awesome possum - re-release of awesome possum now in a more convent multilut. Extremely bright without blowing out highlights with a jolt of saturation to boot.
