Mongolian Cheat Sheet
If anyone’s learning Mongolian (anyone? anyone?), I made a ‘cheat sheet’ of important grammar points. All those suffixes confuse me, idk lol. It has notes up to lesson seven from Modern Mongolian.
You can view it here.

Materials to learn Korean
*these are all resources that I used. All opinions are my own and you do not have to agree with them
Textbooks 📚
Integrated Korean
This book series is the one you will most commonly use if you are studying korean at a University. It has all the basics of a good language book. The levels go from beginner to advanced, so really you could learn all of your korean from these books.
Talk to me in korean
I personally don’t like their lessons, but I like their verb guide and vocab books. I don’t like their lesson books because all they do is explain the grammar points and they don’t actually let you use them. So what I mean by this is that they have little to no reading and unless you spend an extra $20 then there is no exercises. BUT their vocabulary guide is extremely useful. Like I use this book all the time. I also recommend their vocabulary books.
Easy korean for foreigners
This is a lesser-known book series but a really good one. There are 4(?) levels and this is a very good book as well for people trying to learn chinese and Japanese. In the book all of the definitions are in English,Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. This can be confusing at first but after you figure out how to use it, it is a really good series. There is very limited English in the book so you definitely get the reading practice.
Apps 📱
Lingodeer
Lingo deer is good for extra vocabulary but isn’t really that good for learning the nity grity of the language. This app has a large selection of languages and they are adding more.
Naver dictionary
This is probably the best of the korean dictionaries. Tbh there really isn’t much to say about it except it is a dictionary.
Websites 💻
How to study korean
This website is really good for beginners and for people wanting to know more vocabulary. They have really easy to follow lessons. They explain the grammar very well and it is just an overall very good resource.
Vocab 📖
Anki
Anki is 25usd on iOS and free on pic and android. This app can be used for any subject. It uses a special method to help you remember words/ phrases. The price can be kind of intimidating but if you are serious about learning a language then the money won’t go to waste
Quizlet
This app is a good free alternative to Anki. You can get a premium package but it is not necessary. You can download and practice other people’s decks.
Click here to see my decks
That is all I use to learn korean. As time goes on I will add more and more when I use different resources.

27.07.17 | me? start a summer challenge and then abandon it two weeks later? haha who could imagine….
anyway i definitely have not forgotten about this or even stopped working on it, i’ve just been so busy with social stuff and helping around the house that i haven’t gotten a chance to write anything out to post! this week i have been working on food and on listening comprehension with podcasts. as always, i would love to hear any criticism or corrections!
¡me encanta cocinar y comer! soy italiana, así que me gusta la pasta con el aceite de oliva y el queso. pero me gusta igualmente los otros granos como el maíz y el arroz. mi fruta favorita es la fresa, pero me encantan todas las frutas – especialmente las manzanas, las piñas, y las uvas - salvo las naranjas. mi hermana es vegetariana, por lo que mi familia no come mucha carne, pero me gusta el pollo cuando puedo comerlo.

06.07.17 | agh okay i’m not sure what happened to the quality of this image because it definitely looked nicer on my phone! oh well, i suppose it must be blurry for now at least. anyway, here is some vocab for this week’s post of the summer language challenge! it’s been a busy week, but i have been working on keeping my duolingo tree gilded and advancing with coffee break spanish and language transfer - i’m particularly enjoying the second one, and i would totally recommend it to any english-speakers trying to learn another language because it really helps you think about the way the languages are related!
here’s a little bit about my family to tie in with the vocab - as always feel free to let me know if i make any mistakes!
en mi familia, hay quatro personas. mi madre se llama oriana. ella es artista. su marido, mi padre, se llama jim. su travajo es segura des autos. mi hermana se llama lara, y tiene dieciséis años. a ella le gusta pintar y ver netflix! tengo tambien una novia, sophia. ella es adorable y la amo mucho.

This phrase is used to express how no one can expect to stay popular or stay at their best forever. 차다 means “to be full,” and 기울다 means “to wane”, “to shrink” or “to decline.” So here, the moon’s cycle is being compared to that of the life span of an individual since as the moon grows (waxes) full, it then begins to shrink (wane) into a new moon - implying change.
