Not during a Grand Prix, but at a brand event a few weeks before the season started. Lizzie was there working with a small production crew, filming something fashion-meets-motorsport. She didn’t know anyone, so she mostly flew under the radar—just another face among influencers, models, and team staff.

But Max noticed her. He was hanging out with a few friends at a table in the back. She didn’t see him.

But he heard her talking while trying to choose between two outfits for a night shoot.

—“Black or red?”

—“Black, obviously. I always look better in dark colors. It’s like… my stealth mode.”

They laughed. She said it playfully, but with this kind of quiet confidence that stuck with him.

Max didn’t forget that line. Or the way she looked in his direction for a split second as she walked past his table—like maybe she had seen him.
