Lapidot Angst Week Entry- Rain

Dark clouds gathered through the sky, and had been swirling over the city almost the whole day, going from a gentle grey to an angry black. Lights shone down onto the beach from the house inside of the Temple, music played from inside.

That night was the anniversary of Peridot coming to Earth for the first time. The start down her path to, in her opinion, a MUCH better life. She was happy on Earth. The green Gem loved farming, gardening, watching TV, and-

“Peridot!” Garnet called to the blonde, snapping her away from her thoughts. “Come here, I want you to try something!” The fusion said with a soft grin as Peridot clambered up onto the kitchen counter, sitting down for fear of falling. (She’d done it before, and oh stars had it been embarrassing…)

“Yes?” She asked, her curious gaze wandering around as the fusion pulled a bag filled with odd colorful paper. “What is this?” She asked, batting at the edges of the paper with her hand. Garnet snickered and took the paper out, crumpling it up into a ball before tossing it to Amethyst, who shapeshifted into a little cat and began playing with it.

The blonde peeked into the bag and pulled out a soft green sweater. “Steven made that, just for you. Happy earth anniversary, Peridot.” Said Garnet as she gently patted Peridot on the shoulder.
