Villain!Mic AU : Pirate Radio

100% Mic's villainous secret lair is a pirate radio station of his own construction. He has a scheduled broadcast every Friday night that has a pretty devote cult following (and its been getting more popular since he figured out how to hijack other radio frequencies to do some self-promotion and, you know, broadcast his voice to a wider audience).

His most popular show is Chatting With Heroes where he kidnaps a random hero off the street and aggressively interviews them and asks them hilarious, invasive, and very pointed questions about their work as heroes and more often then not very blatantly exposes some of the rot within Heroics Society as a whole.

He tried to have Aizawa on one or twice but the man legit gets panicky when he’s being recorded in any way and panicky Eraser rapidly becomes terrifying cryptid Eraser. And while Mic is a very open and honest host he’s really not ready to air his kinks to his adoring fans quite yet.

… at least not deliberately.

Izuku and Katsuki listen to his show every Friday night because they’re unattended kids year olds who don’t realize it’s a hostage situation. Izuku has so. many. notes about hero weaknesses.

He brings a lot of stuff to light heroes taking liberties, the gross commercializations, incidents that go unreported, and the horrible mental health crisis on the rise in the hero community.

One of the ones he grabs is greenhorn with a compulsive truth quirk who is stuck working for the HPSC. She legit has a nervous breakdown as she’s interviewed and Mic just decides ‘don’t worry your my henchwoman now.’

And she just is after that. Chatterbox mans the lair and runs the radio show while Mic is out being a public disturbance while trying to stick it to the man/seduce eraserhead. Chatterbox high key ships it and plays romantic/sexy music whenever they duke it out in the lair. And Aizawa is so done.

And the lair is the biggest eyesore in Naruhata. It is an obnoxious yellow building with a frankensteined radio tower and satellites sticking out of it. Its under the name of some American named Presentation Michael and no one has ever made the very obvious connection between mic, his pirate radio station, and this one big obnoxious building.

Except Aizawa but he’s too conflicted to turn him in. Right up until he learns that problem child number one has been a fan for years and suddenly knows too much about Aizawa’s personal life because Mic broadcasts-

I think the biggest (maybe the only one) surprise of the movie for me was learning Bruno actually wasn't disowned or kicked out, but that he willingly went away to protect Mirabel. Sure, he felt he needed to go because people always thought the worse of him and his visions, but still he wasn't literally chased away like we were brought to believe by the spoilers and songs.

The accusation of Alma was rich, but it even means imho she was honestly upset Bruno was gone, and now she finally had someone else to blame for that. Even the fact everybody (beside Camilo) were happy to see him when he show up, I think the family maybe found more easy to be angry with him than to fret about where he was gone and why. We know from Luisa the adults suspected he saw something terrible in the future before to go away, so they maybe just thought Bruno panicked and ran away, leaving the in the dark. That was actually a better reason to be angry than a wedding... more so they actually lived together for years and years after that particular fiasco, (Bruno went away when Maribel was 5 years old, a lot of time after Pepa's wedding) and I doubt they could live together if Pepa was actually thundering every time she saw his brother at lunch. LOL.
